Keyboard lag please help

This is the situation,
I get a keyboard "lag" almost every time I use the WASD keys to run or strife... Sometimes the character can do a 180 or a 360 for a strife, or it doesn't want to stop running even if I stop hitting the W key... or even if I still hold the W key my characters are always stopping each 2 seconds. That is really annoying... and almost un playable. But with the mouse there is nothing to say, every move is working fine. And also when i use the number keys with the mouse to attack, it will lag behind.

It takes forever to type anything in chat, and I have checked other forums with no luck, as most were saying it was an avast issue which i don't use, and that was way back patch 2.4. This is my computer:

System:

Microsoft Windows XP

Computer:
Mobile AMD Sempron
Processor 3600+
1.6 GHz, 2.62 GB of RAM

This really is driving me nuts, so any help is greatly appreciated

Ok first of all, do you have any PC lag? (Drop of frame rate). If not then do you have connection lag?

Also, you running a wireless keyboard or cable?

Im on a laptop, using the built in keyboard, ive even tried other USB ones tho and still doesnt work. No connection lag, frame rates are what they always are.
