The "old god in darkshore" isn't an old god. It's a leuitenant of an old god - it says so in the Darkshore quest chain. The lore states that before it took 20 stone gaints sent by the titans to take down. During the quest chain, the Twilights Hammer cultists actually manage to summon a shade of it that you need to kill.
Lol, way to not read the rest of the thread where we've already said that =).

One is in Darkshore, we've all seen it; the giant sword sticking out of the shell; possible dead, more then likely sealed away.
One in Silithus : C'thun
One in Northrend : Yogg - Saron
2 more out there somewhere, but no, there were only ever 5 Old gods on Azeroth.

To be fair, I necro'ed this up when they actually revealed that one of the Old Gods had died and was the reason behind the Sha; was hoping it would get some discussion millage.

Also, the "L" of L&RP is just as alive as ever. Just check the discussion thread at the top.

there is always the possibility that there is an old god in uldaman seing as so far titan buildings have old gods geograficly close to them
cthun is
very
close to uldum (perhaps a prison break)
and yogg-saron is in ulduar

Not really dude, there used to be a bunch of active threads up on the main board every day discussing lore at the beginning of Caty, now its just the general discussion :(

Meh, it's slow right now, but there's still discussion going on.

Mainly because most of the new Lore doesn't really need endless threads to discuss it; but all of the forums except for General are like that.
As for the RP section of this, that's still a thriving community heh.

Lol now that I think of it most of the Caty lore discussions were pretty repetitive.
At least 50% were people asking questions that somebody else would say belonged in the general discussion, 30% were threads about who was more evil the Horde or Alliance, 10% was me and Adam arguing about whether or not Deathwing was really going to be the last boss of the expansion, and then the remaining 10% was mostly about the Old Gods and Azshara.
Heh good times

Didn´t it say somewhere that the Titans could not kill the Old Gods, or else Azeroth would be destroyed as well? So how could they kill Y'shaarj without any consequences on Azeroth?
Or was he one of the Old Gods (if not the only one) not to be completely tied to Azeroth just yet?
As things are always fluid...remember, till the Seven Headed One was revealed, it was thought to be C'thun who had been 'killed'. It's possible that when the Forger group killed Y'shaarj that's when they found out the consequences of killing an Old God: A powerful miasma released that has since mutated into the Sha and threaten all live on Azeroth. Possibly they thought killing the other 4 would result in more corruption being released on their new planet, so they sealed away them away rather then risk it happening again.
Edit: Also, I'm still looking forward to when they reveal the final 7th Sha.

Er threaten all Life on Azeroth*
And since they have Anger, Despair, Doubt, Violence, Hatred and Fear, the last one should be interesting when it's revealed.

I must´ve missed something, but what´s the significance of seven Sha´s? Must have something to do with Y'shaarj´s seven heads, no?
From the last breath of the Seven Heads, the Seven Sha were created and from those Seven the Sha corruption has spread.
