A lot of comments prior to 4.0.3 are also completely out of date. Especially level-range specific drops (like cloths and leathers).
Also:
Read existing comments – Sometimes, the information you have may already have been posted by another user. In this case, if the information is useful, the existing comment should be given a positive rank. Posting information that was already added in a previous comment will likely result in a negative rating.
Verify your facts – Make sure that what you have to post is true. A friend might tell you that a mob is immune to Frost Nova, but unless you verify that yourself, you could be posting a potentially misleading comment.
Temporary usability – If you want to correct invalid or missing information on a page, keep in mind that your comment may go from a positive ranking to a negative ranking when the correction occurs. For example, informing the community that an item drops off of Illidan Stormrage before that data has been collected will be useful at first, but once Wowhead learns that information and adds it to the 'Dropped By' tab, your comment becomes redundant. If you do not want to worry about the comment or do not want one of your comments to be rated negatively, consider informing us in the Site Feedback forum. The moderation staff will be happy to add a comment to correct invalid or missing information on the page for you. Alternatively, you can delete your comment later when it becomes redundant.
World Drop locations is mostly useless, as there is no sure-fire way to farm for world BoEs. Comparisons to T11 may be legitimate discussion, but I personally don't feel that comment threads are appropriate for discussion (Malgayne agrees, at least with respect to Aeonaxx
:P
). All of the down-rated comments for that item, except for one, are "This dropped <x>." The one down-rated comparison was just linking to different Wowhead item comparisons, which I can do on my own.

Not sure what thats suppose to mean. Wowhead is a quality website. Dont make excuses, wowhead is better than that.
I believe a voting system where someone with more +votes has a slightly larger impact on a given vote-able item when they do vote.

On the page, also, were comments of ones comparing this item to Tier 11 gear available at a vendor. Why on earth it got downrated is beyond me. It was accurate and contextual.
I don't see any, and I'm not going to count the first post that says "BiS for ret paladins" because there's no math, and it's not BiS.
Maybe it got purged, etc, but without context, this is just rambling.
That would be hugely abusable (create large quantities of accounts, upvote real account, hold massive power!). Wowhead's system is pretty good the way it is.
Wowhead can see IP, so this would only work short-term.

What I mean is that people(read as possible trolls) could decide in a fit of whatever, to just downrate everything on a given page; unless you want the mods to suddenly toughen up the site and start really cracking down on everyone, just report mass downrates.

I would like an option, if I so choose, to by default show
all
comments regardless of rating. I can skim pretty quickly and disregard anything not useful, but I hate having to click on a comment to see if it might have been down-rated unjustly, and is useful to me.
