If you want a head start before the launch of Midnight, you can exchange 1x Essenz des Holzes for 20x Thalassisches Holz (It counts toward this achievement Mitternachtsholzfäller) with the following NPC in your neighborhood:

Zone NPC Coordinates
Gründerspitze Lestia Goldschlag /way #2352 53.8 39.6
Klingenschluchtküste Xiz'ro /way #2351 53.6 56.6

If you want to knock this one out, go to Harandar. There is a ton more lumber there than in the other zones.

Kommentar von Zilyan

If you have a Druid, collecting lumber does not knock you out of travel form.
The achievement progress is account wide, so you can knock it out on your druid for all other chars pretty quickly.

The Coiled Isle is a very good place to farm for this in my opinion.
Lumber are placed far from aggroing mobs, and even if they are close, you can use Tokka's Multi Ward to reduce detection range.
