Doesn't count 巨大的喷泉金鱼, unfortunately, so you can't work on Dalaran fountain coin achievements at the same time.

Like the Dalaran fountain, Margoss's Retreat has 巨大的喷泉金鱼 in it so. If you are looking to get this an grind some 浸水的魔力 for rep with 咒法师马戈斯. It will work your progress will just be slowed when you fish the Goldfish up. The 银鲭鱼 have the highest chance to caught and count

I don't seem to be getting any progress for this, fished up about 30 fish and other items, but counter stays at 0/50 - any ideas?

HERE IS THE PROBLEM !

If you do not get credit fishing in Broken Isles, GO FISH IN YOUR CLASS HALL !

I got no credit at first, just fishing outdoors in Azsuna.
I hearthed to my Garrison. Going to the cave in back, I immediately got credit fishing in there, for "Catch Fish on Draenor".
I hearthed back to Broken Isles and went fishing in Trueshot Lodge - the Hunter Class Hall - AND I GOT CREDIT !

Why ? I have no idea. But so long as it works, I don't really care. My guess is a bug.

I discovered today (7/15/23) that I had to fish in my Garrison in Draenor and at Margoss's Retreat in Dalaran to get credit for these trading post items. At Margoss's Retreat the drowned mana and big fountain goldfish didn't count toward this, but other fish did. I hope this helps!

i can now confirm trueshot lodge highmountain there is small body of water that works towards catching 50 fish for progress im doing right now and every catch counts :D hope it helps

I could not find a spot in Margoss' Retreat or Suramar. But I was able to get credit fishing anywhere from pools.

I am a level 63 warlock, with level 43 legion fishing.
Working on trading post activity "Catch Fish on the Broken Isles".
Tested with add-on enabled and disabled - Better fishing add-on had no effect either way.
Outside zone tested - Azuna and Valsharah. Tried both open water and pools neither counted for activity.
Visited Warlock class hall attempted green pools but there were no fish and the water was too shallow in the areas tested.
Dalaran fountain I was only catching goldfish and since these do not count for activity I considered this a fail.
Success for me only occurred at Margoss Retreat when the silvered mackerel was caught all other items did not count toward activity.

The fish did not seem to register no matter where I fished in the Broken Isles, with Draenor task already completed in the Garrison. I opened a ticket about this bug 3 days ago. I just logged in and just saw my ticket answered, saying the bug has been fixed. Per Game Master Scoofsatte: "Our developers have recently implemented a hotfix for this issue, so we advise you to try and fish again, and see if the traveler's log is updated..." My fish counter is now at at 44/50 from 0/50.

EDIT: After I saw the GM's answer, I hearthed to Dalaran from Maldraxxus and went to fish at Margoss' Retreat. Caught a few Silver Mackerels but did NOT get credit. I went to the hunter's class hall and fished there (Trueshot Lodge), but again the Silver Mackerels got me no further credit. I was stuck at 44/50 fish. I went along the coast of Highmountain and fished more Silver Mackerels, Black Barracudas, Ancient Black Barracudas, and Highmountain Slamons with no progress :(
I followed the coast to Valsharah and I stopped somewhere on the Verdant Cliffs, and caught a Silver Mackerel which made the counter move to 45/50! Four Silver Mackerel and 1 Mossgill Perch later and finally the task was complete!
