While I don't have much love for this talent in the way of mechanics, I love its spell effects. While that alone isn't enough for me to take this talent... I have but one tip for maximum fun with this ability, take it into Torghast with 收割链, and if you're lucky you'll get an anima power called 元素导能. This creates a little interaction I like to call, "Killer Queen has already touched that pack."

It's decent but I kind of prefer the passive nature of 冰雹. It's best used with 霜刃打击 to reset the cooldown of 烈焰震击 and put it up on an extra target before the DoT starts running out on the first target. Due to the long start up, roughly 9 seconds on 3+ targets, it's not great, but still decent if you don't mind the extra buttons to press. It also works well with 始源之潮, allowing you to get an easy 4th target and synergizes with the additional effect for lightning bolt aoe.

If using primordial wave with 4 total flame shock targets and saving 5 maelstrom, your lightning bolt should potentially deal (100 x2(from maelstrom) x1.5(from pw)=300x4(targets)=1200% damage)(potentially an extra 200% if bolting a non-shocked target) And then the following fire nova will, lets say it deals 1000 damage, 1 nova from 1 target will hit 4 times for 4000 damage; this happens 3 more times for a total of 16000 aoe damage. (or 9000 for the usual 3 targets)

It generally requires a lot of time to set up for decent aoe damage, but if you're generating a lot of maelstrom charges then it's better to just go with Hailstorm.
