If there isn't a cap on this talent's effect, with this and 被烧毁的雕文 you can be an icy machine gun indefinitely.

Thermal Void makes it possible to keep Icy Veins and Improved Icy Veins going non-stop by casting Ice Lance before (Improved) Icy Veins expires. Every time you cast Ice Lance, Thermal Void will extend (Improved) Icy Veins by another 2 seconds. I tested it for 3 minutes non-stop, that is, until Improved Icy Veins was off cooldown again. So as of now, it seems like there is no upper limit as to how long you can keep (Improved) Icy Veins going. It also works with Glyph of Icy Veins, thereby giving you unlimited +30% multistrike as long as you keep casting Ice Lance during (Improved) Icy Veins.

The Icy Veins buff will be capped at 30 seconds, if anyone wonders. With this talent you could keep up your Icy Veins for as long as you are willing to spam Ice Lance. However, frost mage rotation is a little bit more complex than that.

To be honest.. I find the lvl 100 frost mage talents terrible.

Only this one seems worth picking since the only time I use Icy Veins is on long lasting battles like boss fights and since it's passive it saves you time and space.

Comet Storm would be great if the damage wasn't divided...

Prismatic Crystal feels really unpractical and again the damage is split.

Before patch 7.2.5, this talent made Ice Lances on frozen target extend your Icy Veins by an additional 2 sec and now this one makes Ice Lance only add 1 second, but it gives another 10 seconds to IV always. This ends up as a small buff to the average Frost player.
