Potentially very powerful in Mythic.

Consider a boss that deals raid-wide spell damage. In Mythic, this is ~20 targets (more counting pets)

Assuming all players are hit for equal damage, this spell will heal the Death Knight for 5% * 20+ (targets) or more than 100% of spell damage dealt. Between that, Anti-Magic Zone and Shell.. Hooray for ignoring magic damage!

Before anyone becomes concerned about this talent being unviable, it WILL trigger the level 60 rune regen talents as it channels. It also generates Shadow Infusion charges for Unholy.

Here is a brief description of how this talent functions in AoE (and why it's a poor AoE talent).

A primary target (determined by position) takes the full 100% damage listed in the tooltip.

Against multiple (say n) targets, all targets besides the primary one take 100/n % damage. Thus, if you used this on two targets, the first would take 100% damage and the second would take 50%, for a total of 150%. Against three, the first would take 100%, and the other three would take 25% each, for a total of 175%.

This number asymptotically approaches 200% damage as you have more and more targets, which makes this talent essentially a two-target cleave. For sustained AoE damage, you should generally choose Defile over this talent (keep in mind though that for Blood, high BoS uptime often leads to the talent still being superior when the AoE comes in short 'burst' phases such as on Beastlord Darmac).

As far as healing goes, note that Mark of Sindragosa heals you for 10% of the total ability* damage dealt by a target, not for 10% of the damage dealt to you. For example, if there is a raidwide-AoE damage pulse (of, say, 50k damage), and you are in a 30-person raid, you will be healed for 300% of the damage dealt (or 150k healing).

*The tooltip is a bit confusing. When it says "spell" damage it means damage done by abilities, not magical damage. Thus, abilities like Savage Howl or Cleave on Butcher trigger BoS healing, but the magical melee attacks of the Volatile Anomalies on Imperator will not.

This has become somewhat viable as a pure single-target talent for DPS DK specs, and much more worth towards Blood DKs (Starting at around 1.1K Multistrike) since their Blood Rites can keep this going for a while, and making us do higher DPS than the other tanks, purely because of this talent.

Hey, guys.

For anyone wondering about this ability. It's worth considering -- even the "Final Boss" video with Korvak, Reniat & Magdalena (3 top blood DK) put it as the top ability to use as a blood DK if you're comfortable playing one.

The reason this was said was because it offers the least to those that cannot maintain it for a long time, and the most to those that are able to push their rotation to keep it up for 30 seconds or more.

When I first read the ability, it went beyond me that the breath could persist for at least 25% uptime. And offering so much DPS in the time it's up.

In order to keep up 冰龙吐息 for as long as possible, my personal favorite is to pop it when I have most (preferably all) of your runes up and your rune power at full. Continue your rotation as usual (without using 凋零缠绕, as it drains your runic power) making sure you're not wasting a 灵界打击, 血液沸腾, or when you're full on runic power, but making sure you don't get too low in runic power. I personally use 吸血瘟疫 and activate it when I run out of those 3 abilities to spam, and when I run out of it again, I pop 符文武器增效 and do my rotation again.

If I do this right, I can keep breath up for a good while.

If the stars align, you have the right procs, and you keep your runic power up, you can keep the breath going on for a while. I managed to keep mine going 30-40 seconds long before it ran out on its own.

Vaelastrasz's buff from Blackwing Lair grants 20 runic power per second and lasts for three minutes.
Breath of Sindragosa takes 15 runic power per second and lasts until you have no more runic power.

DKs, you've got a 3-minute breath here.

Breath of Sindragosa IS NOT directly affected by Haste. It will still tick every second and take RP every second. Haste does, however, increase your Rune regeneration and reduces your GCD, which in turn gives you more RP.
Breath of Sindragosa IS affected by "time warping" mechanics (do not confuse with 时间扭曲). Effects like 时间膨胀, 速度：慢, 速度：快, 减缓时间, 时间加速 will change the tick rate accordingly, making you either spend RP and do damage x% faster or slower.
