I believe it might be bugged. It pings that it's spawned but after camping for over 2 hours, It never appears. I've changed shards, relogged, exited, etc. Doesn't spawn.

I was camping it for 4 hours and nothing (awesome dedication or just me being dumb? :D ).
There is a world quest in this are atm so might be bugged cause of it? My husband saw the pickaxe multiple times before it.

This must be bugged right now.

I've waited at the location for just over 5 hours today, and 2 hours yesterday as of this post.

The icon is on the minimap, but the interactable corpse to loot the item and reputation has failed to spawn.

"We have received several reports of this issue and can confirm it is not working as intended. Currently, we do not have a workaround or resolution that can be provided. We apologize for any inconvenience while our developers work as quickly as possible to resolve the issue."

So... just wait and check in until someone says they looted it. Like the Scarab Quest.

EDIT: This item is now able to be grabbed as of 2024-09-10 on the Heroic Week Reset.

I collected this on Day 2 of early access with my second character. It was not present (but pinged on an addon) on my first character's run; my second character simply stumbled upon it. I do have Treasures of the Isle of Dorn as a result. No character I have run through since (on my 9th as of 02 Sept 2024) has seen it be present but it continues to ping on an addon.

Camped and debugged this a bit. The game is definitely sending vignette_update events for vignette 6273 - which is the pickaxe. So the server is literally telling us that the axe is there, but the axe isn't loading in the client to be clicked. Don't spend your time trying to farm until it gets fixed.

Edit: as of 2023-09-11 this seems fixed

As of today, after the recent hotfix the Kobold Pickaxe spawned and I was able to get the achievement since this was the only item missing to complete it.

I didn't see of someone posted, but as of Tuesday it is spawning as intended. I can confirm on my own account and inventory that I have looted it.

I was able to loot the kobold pickaxe today for the Kobald mastermind's "Pivel". I went there to do the world quest and it was sitting right there on the gravestone. I figured since i was able to see and pick it up that i would come here and leave a comment letting people know.

The Kobold Pickaxe is there now. :) Yay! I don't know if you need to wait so long for it to show back up again if another player has already picked it up or not. I just nabbed it, though, so it is working at least.

6/16/2025- I clicked on the axe and it disappeared. It did not go into my inventory and the Collection say that I have not obtained it,

Bugged for me like several other items i've tried to pick up. Let's me interact with it but then says there's nothing there and I don't get the item.
