You can find this egg in the borean Tundra, in a marine cave at the Riplash Ruins. Coord of the Cave are 56 - 88.
The entrance is really tricky to find. I've upload several screenshots.
When you are at the coord, you can see in front of the entrance
- A colone
- 2 red Seaweed
- severals green Seaweed
- 2 purple Seaweed when you go further.
- you have to go further and up to get in the cave.
The egg in on the ground, behind the altar.
(thanks to Maijill-kirin tor / Eiji-Chants éternels / and Reddit-hyjal who find it first)

If the area is crowded, fear not. It immediately respawns. If people are standing on it, just hop realms.
I finally had to use a Faded Wizard Hat to shrink myself down to Gnome size to see under everyone to be able to click on the darn thing. In this case, smaller is better.
It's not the huge egg on the table, it's the small egg on the floor towards the back of the room.
I begin to wonder if this cave was here before. I guess I will never know!
get this item/pet on a level 1 character, with a non-active account.
burn a WoW token to get this, if your account is inactive.
If you are Alliance, there are no mobs between the docks and the cave, so you won't even have to corpse run to get there.

How to find the entrance:
To find the cave-entrance, go to the coordinates 55.8, 88.1. This will put you in the ocean, just next to a tower on the "Riplash Ruins" islands.
Once you are at the coordinates, dive straight down. You will see a broken pillar and two corals with some seaweeds in-between them.
In the rocks behind the seaweeds, there is a thin crack with two additional purple corals on the wall. Swim into this crack.
Once you are at the end of the cave, it might seem like a dead end, but there is an opening righty above you that's hard to see until you are all the way inside. Swim up, and you are inside the cave where the

So many deaths...
Looted the egg today. Used it and my log said ive obtained Terky. But I dont see it anywhere. Instead I've got a second Lumpy, rare, lv1
I got him, he's the most cute little guy ever. Proper fancy.
This guide really helped also.
There is no need to fight over this item.
The egg is quaranteed to spawn for every few seconds. You can only loot one egg and the item is not tradeable.
The cave entrance is difficult to recognize as a cave entrance. I stared straight at it for several minutes and swam right up to it without realizing I was there. The opening is very narrow and not very long. Once you move inside, you must then swim straight upward toward the surface to enter the cave proper.
Also, once inside, there is a pedestal with a huge pearl upon it that might appear to be the egg, but it is not. The egg rests on the ground behind the pedestal.
How did someone find out about this?
You would expect, especially if you are familiar with the Darkmoon Island cave, that the cave is deep down and that you'll be near the limit of your breath.
The cave entrance coordinates are spot on. From the entrance, if I resurface, I will need only 4 or 5 seconds to reach air. That is not deep at all.
I'm at the white murloc egg, but it keeps saying the object is busy. There isn't anyone around trying to loot it. I just can't seem to loot it. =(
I've reloaded UI, relogged... anyone have any ideas?
If there's anyone still looking for this...
1. Head for the tower on the easternmost island in the Riplash Ruins.
2. Find the rock behind the tower sticking out from the ocean.
3. Jump north off the rock. Immediately below you you should see a broken pillar, some seaweed, and what appears to be two stone eggs sitting in red seaweed.
4. The cave you're looking for is behind those items. It's not the typical wide cave, and you probably won't notice it unless you swim right up to it. It's a narrow crack in the rock.
If you hit fatigue, you're in the wrong place.
If you have to swim down for more than 5 seconds, you're in the wrong place.
