other then the other level ranges in Winterspring, these are quite higher then the usual level 49-55 that are seen. These are still level 58-60.

You can get to this without a flying mount from the Est side. You need to jump back westward at an angle to reach a ledge to climb where these bears are. It's very tricky but doable. These are the best source-drop for Warbrear leather.

Be careful farming these right on the Hyjal border to the south. The bears phase out across the border, and can be difficult to kill and/or loot because they disappear. Pull them into Winterspring before you kill them!

Actually, as long as you know the right spot to make the jump westward, it's easy. The jump is necessary to get past a long, relatively low ridge that passes just north of a huge tree at the east end of the gorge. It's impossible to climb straight over the ridge, but there is one spot where you can take advantage of the slope of the hillside to jump onto the top of it. To make the jump, go to 65.6, 86.3. (That is directly uphill from three trees that are fairly close to the edge of the gorge and just north of the ridge.) Go as far uphill (south and east) as you can, then turn and jump straight west. You should land on top of the ridge. Once there, it is easy to get to the bears. (There isn't any ledge that you need to use; I assume the OP just meant the crest of the ridge.) You probably have to be mounted to make the jump, but I didn't find it particularly tricky once I read read
this comment
and figured out where to do it.
I also found a route around the west side of the gorge before I figured out the one the east side, but it is more tricky. Starting from just north of the entrance to the gorge, climb to the west. Once you get as high as you can easily go (not very high) head south. You will have to use some intermittent ledges and bumps that are just above where the side of the gorge turns steep. It's tricky, but if you do it right, you can avoid sliding down into the gorge. It might take a few attempts, but you won't fall far if it doesn't work.
The most difficult jump is from 56.2, 79.6. Go as close to the edge as you dare, then run and jump south along the face, then start angling up the slope as you go a little further. I stop at about 56.0, 80.6 to catch my bearings. Once at that relatively flat area, you have two choices. If you go back north a little, you can find a spot where you can climb straight uphill at around 55.9, 80.2, but you can easily slide down if you go a little too far north and have to start over. The easiest thing to do is to continue south until you reach a huge tree at 55, 82. (A smaller pine tree next to it stops you from continuing along the edge.) Work around the north side of the huge tree to the high (west) side of it. Once on the high side of the tree, go straight up hill a little ways until you can go over and around a protruding rock to your left. Once you do that, you are home free. FWIW, I found what seemed to be a much easier (and higher) route the first time I went around the west side, but I could never find it again, so I must have just been lucky that time.
While hunting bears on the east end of the gorge, watch for the huge tree near the edge. The small curving ridge north and east of it is the one that causes trouble on the east side. Two bears roam on the south side and crest of the ridge fairly far uphill, but no bears go north of it. It's easy to accidentally go past the ridge after killing those bears because the ridge looks similar to other ridges in the area. Crossing the ridge was a major goof when the only route I could locate was on the west side of the gorge.
If you don't want to hearth, it's easy to get back from the south side by going around either side of the gorge.

If you are planning on farming these I would suggest doing it on a skinner. They drop rugged leather which still sells reasonably well and it is better to make some profit for you time then none at all. I recently spent an hour here just to test the spot and ended up with alot of
浆果汁
and
熊腰肉
which vendor for next to nothing. 1 hour produced 1 green drop and 3 greys.
At 85 you can loop around from the west to the east in a semi circle killing all the bears you see then fly straight back across the ditch where the ice avatars
寒冰化身
are then start again. This also allows you to check for the rare
劫掠者卡苏克
Kashoch the Reaver which spawns on the opposite side of the ravine in the centre. Here is a short clip that shows an effective farming loop.

Another tip, there is a vendor in the chasm that you can sell your thousands of junk items to.

There's a ridiculously easy way to get to these: Jump off the cliff. When you die, you appear at a graveyard right next to the bears. The con is that this method involves a 10 minute Resurrection Sickness. But you don't need to make tricky jumps or a flying mount.

I was wandering around in Winterspring and saw these guys and thought I remembered that they dropped some good stuff and decided I'd farm them for a little bit.
In the first 15 minutes of killing these I got
战击护肩
and
欺诈宝珠
- afterwards I looked here and saw that both of them were .00 drop rates but what is intriguing about farming these guys is that you can safely assume that if something drops, it will be worth quite a lot to someone, especially now with transmog!
After I saw these 2 great items drop I figured I'd go another 30 min to see what else I'd get and my luck dropped off completely, got nothing other than whites and greys.
Now I didn't keep track of how many kills I got but I would put it somewhere between 120 and 150 during 45 min, with 1 green drop and 1 blue drop, so my advice would be to definitely be patient!
Best of luck farming!

After spending the better half of the afternoon at Alcaz Island trying to farm the last pieces of the Warleader's set I need for my warrior, I decided to come to Winterspring in hopes for better drops. (Was also looking at getting the Glorious set for quick cash as well)
The area in Winterspring is secluded and isn't farmed as much as Alcaz (On my server or what I noticed) The only thing you have to worry about is the phasing, since there is an entrance to Hyjal at the base of the map. The bears like to roam in that area and phase in and out. Kill them in Winterspring or you will lose your loot. D:
My Run:
86 Rabid Shardtooth killed and got only 1 green, from a lock box, but it wasn't the desired set.
Killed 2 rares in the area as well and got 2 greens. This was after about 45 minutes of farming.
To make it faster
, farm this area as a skinner-- I found they respawned 1-3 minutes after skinning. Being able to fly made getting to the bears and obtaining their loot so much faster, so I highly suggest you have some form of flight when farming.
I also recommend
killing the ice giants in the area in-between farming for the bears. I found that they would block my view from bears and they have a very
sloooowwwwww
respawn timer, and I was able to do 2-3 passes without 1 respawning. This is only if you do not mine them (My farming toon is skinner/miner, but I ignored the giants)
Hope this helps you out. I will try farming again after the server resets.
GOOD LUCK <3,
Arlyse-87 Worgen Rogue- Miner/Skinner (Moon Guard)

Farming these bears is possibly best done with a Hunter that has skinning. Turn your 'Tracking Beasts' and skin them for quicker respawns (not confirmed).
Happy farming!

Just wanted to confirm that these are still available in-game because when I tried to find them the first time I couldn't find any. Location on the map is accurate - you just need to Zoom in to see that they are all up on the plateau/ledge in Winterspring. They have a relatively slow respawn so farming them for something specific can take a while.
If you're after the
战熊皮
for the
战熊热裤
, it could take about a 1/2 hour to get enough. I was farming for enough for the top as well, and took about 45 minutes to get enough for both (26 x
战熊皮
).
These go for a pretty penny on the AH, and I can see why since there's not really a way to speed up mat acquisition unless you maybe realm hop...

These bears, Rabid Shardtooth, no longer appear in Winterspring as per map references. Instead there are Frostmaul Preservers.
I have not completed Winterspring Chapters on my Hunter.
The Tainted Black Bear's of The Blasted Lands do drop necessary ingredients for Warbear Halter with Rugged Leather being more common than Warbear Leather. For every 3 or 4 bears killed I would always get Warbear Leather. Tainted Bats always drop Rugged Leather.

There are roughly 25 spawns. Some can easily be missed because they tend to populate the high mountains. Respawn rate is kinda low though, so you can easily clear out the area and find yourself forced to wait a couple of minutes for respawns.
