Vanessa VanCleef is the daughter of Edwin VanCleef and his successor as head of the Defias Brotherhood. After her father's death, Vanessa was adopted by the Saldeans, who were unaware of her identity. They named her Hope and parented her while they watched her grow up over the years. Her identity as Hope Saldean worked to her advantage as she became her father's successor as the leader of the Defias Brotherhood.

I've seen a vide of what it looks like to be a Hard mode-only optional fight with her using mind control and insanity much like Yogg-Saron. It's a timed event of mixed scenes where you have to survive waves of mobs, pass through obstacles, and a save an unknown girl from a pack of worgen.

That raises an excellent question.

Vanessa had to kill the Furlbrows because they would have recognized her from when she was an infant.

But why did she kill Blanchy? The testimony of a horse is not admissible in court.
