Like a lot of pre-TBC mobs, these (and other wind serpents in 1k needles) have a chance to drop nothing which is not counted as a loot in Wowhead. The drops/kill rate is no where near 60% for light feather.
There are three decent concentrations of these mobs, and if you can get in there during the busy times when the respawn rate is high, they might be worth farming. Otherwise, farming any mob with a 30%, or greater, drop rate on light feathers will get you the same results.
If you're looking to tame one of these beauties after the Cataclysm, and you don't have flying in Azeroth like my hunter, then you'll either need a friend with a 2-seater rocket to run you down to one of the bluffs (I didn't find any other way of getting up onto one) OR if you don't have many friends, you can always swim down to the easternmost spawn cluster on the map up there, near Splithoof heights.
The Cloud Serpents have Bite and Lightning Breath, which makes its target take 8% more magic damage for 45 seconds, similar to the Dragonhawk pet ability.
They are now buffed to level 39-40.
This is apparently the pandaren racial mount.
Thank GOD the mounts didn't look at this.
These serpents share spawns with the green-colored
. If you're looking for one of them to tame, and can't find it, kill the venomous and you may have a white Cloud Serpent spawn in its place.
