I keep seeing a warning stating that "Your vision of the target is obscured". What's up?

Not sure why 'target is obscured' message, but until then, if you have a cleave or something that can be activated off a second target, pull the Sandbank Hoppers in the same area in order to kill them.

I also saw the "Your vision of the target is obscured." But this only happened with me as a ranged DPS. If I used my treants and was in cat form, I would damage it, so this seems you can only damage it through melee. Takes a while especially if you're a balance druid and don't have anything in feral form.

That there's something special in combat with a rare NPC or achievement, okay. But when as a Protection Paladin you're only be able to kill a quest mob with AoE spells, or auto attack is rather irritating. Especially with a line like "Your vision of the target is obscured" while the mob is perfectly visibile right in front of you... 10 demerits for the designer who came up with this idea! ;-)

Blizzard QA at work. Since the mob dives underground, I assume it has a binary flag that marks whether it's above or underground. It's likely very susceptible to any glitches that may occur.

As a mage, I managed to do this fairly quickly spamming Arcane Explosion and taking about 4-5M damage per kill. Still beats flying around, hoping to find a mob with the "above-ground" flag properly set. I guess other similar AoE skills / spells would work as well.

The consequences of firing your entire QA team. It's absolutely random which ones will be bugged or not. If you have a method to end/reset combat like Feign Death keep doing that to not waste your time. Otherwise just keep running and tagging krolusks until you get one which you can attack.

If you're on "Of Motes and Husks", kill the Sand Striders just south of The Oasis instead. They also drop the Krolusk Husk and none of them were obscured today.

If you use Track Beasts as hunter/druid, you will see the 砾壳三叶虫 icon turn green when underground as they're technically friendly, red when above ground. It can be easy to miss when they spend a lot of their idle time underground, green icons might help.
