Ugh...talk about pointless...the hardest part to all of this is actually walking around with a full sized toon inside the very back of the head of this statue (yes, it's in the head guys, just in case you're looking at the back of the statue, or even at the unclickable loot and skeletons that are actually visible upon entering the head). I'll make the only real suggestion I have here, I hope you're doing this questline on a SHORT toon (vulpera, gnome, goblin, etc.). You'll at least appreciate a better navigational experience here.

In case you are blind like I was for awhile he is inside the head of the statue. There is a small ledge you can land on by it and then you have to jump around to the back of it to interact with him.

He's hidden behind the giant chest, on the floor beneath the pirate flag. He's looking at the entrance going "UUUUUH", but silently. Quietly.

The pictures shown here are a little bit deceiving. It is not the first skelly you see, so don't worry that it isn't interactive. go behind the chest and there is another skelly under the steps.

To make it crystal clear, the "Pointless Treasure Salesman" is the skeleton in the way back behind the big treasure chest near the spiral staircase.

Ok, after trying the atomic recalibrator toy I was able to make myself a goblin (from a NE) which was short enough to jump down onto circular staircase and "run" down to him. I kept trying to click on him while standing on chest and couldn't reach him! But just kept trying to jump and it finally worked. Noggenfogger Exelir or the Whole body Shrinka toy could also work. Hope that helps. Its the skelly in the back under the stairs that is the salesman you want. Not the two skellies in the front of room.
