One of the Illidari Council in Black Temple.
ok pretty random thing but i noticed that he is the only one in the illidari council not in tier 6.
k fine hes the only one not in his own tier 6
This guy is, IMO, the most dangerous of the Illidari Council bosses. His poison/envenom ability can deal 9k-10k damage over 5 seconds, and this combined with a mage AOE or the priest's Divine Wrath will almost always kill a target before healers can react. Also, I've seen him use it twice in a row on the same person (myself among them). While he's vanished and running around poisoning random people, make sure healers are quick to top them off. Also recommend bringing nature prot pots just to protect yourself from this.
Deadly Poison / Envenom is only used when he's Vanished.
Can be stunned.
Aggro resets every time he reappears.
Re-appears close to where he Vanished (~30yds), not anywhere in the room like some guides suggest. He is visible to anyone a few seconds before he truly reappears, but can be attacked during this time. Charge or throw something at him to get his attention.
A feral druid can be quite creative during the long periods of time he is Vanished. Feral Charge interrupts Lady Malande's spells; while the healing spells should be taken care of by others, you can reduce the damage her tank takes by charging some of her damage spells. There is also plenty of time to hand out innervates and combat resses, or the occasional heal.
His only truly dangerous moment is when he recieves Blessing of Protection the same second he reappears, note that taunts should still work through this. It's possible to juggle him between a tank and any paladin near Veras' using their range taunt once he's run away a bit and before he reaches a healer. He hits hard and fast on any non-tank, and will usually kill any healer, even paladins unlucky enough to have their various bubbles on cooldown, in a few hits.
While it isn't worth DPSing him in most tactics, it's worth noting he has very low armour.
For small details and lore freaks like me out there, he is dual wielding
Fang of Vashj
Yeah I noticed his daggers too , it's a bit strange though , maybe he used to be in Vash' service and eventually got promoted to being Illidan's advisor . If the blind blood elf demon hunter in ssc is any indication as to how blood elves are treated by Vash then I can understand if this guy gave all he had to get promoted to Illidan's side which I imagine is a bit better then at Vash because while Illidan treats most of his servants not quite good he seems to have more of a soft spot(yeah I use weird terms) for blood elves maybe seeing kindred spirits in them
Uh, dude? Leotheras is kinda INSANE/POSSESSED.
THAT is why he is banished in SSC.
This guy has about 200 armor for some reason.
The information linked for tanks in here is full of misinformation which I personally did not find overly useful and somewhat muddled for actually tanking this guy so allow me to try and clear this up in case anyone else is in the same situation :
Lets dispel the myths here :
This boss spends
a random time in combat and then vanishes for 30 Seconds
-While he is vanished there is nothing you do, while vanished he
targets people and poisons them and does his finishing move, as such, NR does not help the tank, or anyone at all, you have to heal through it for both his poison and finishing move
-While he is not stealthed he is stunnable, and at times like the other members will become both magic and physical immune via a buff from the other members.
-he will only move 30 yards from where he vanished and he likes to creep up next to a person and wait to unvanish to attack them, for this reason a fantastic tanking method is to tank him off to the side and have the raid DPS other mobs but him since their health's are all linked by doing this at the very other end of the room you will have him vanish, and be plainly visible at the end of the vanish for you to tag him and generate any aggro at all and keep him on that side
Some Side facts and ideas
- On a prot paladin tank with 450 BV and 19K armor he hit for an average of 3.5-4.5K tops, easily healable by one healer and a tank.
- Since he is stunnable (at least by hammer of justice) we put a prot paladin and a healing paladin and tanked him on the far end of the room
It's not a difficult fight overall ,its several people learning their strategies and then combining them, similar to kael or vashj or other multiple strategy/phase fights
I hope this helps some of you Illidari tanks out ;-)
His Abilities is Rogue-like but his apperance is Warlock-Like That is kinda wierd in my opinion =]
i hate his shoulders, they dont suit a rogue because shoulders pads like that were made for people who fight with the shoulder facing the enemy, rogues just sneak from behind and attack fast and deadly
Does anyone know the sound commands for his "You wish to kill me? Haha you first!" quote?
I wonder if he has anything in common with the illidari demonhunter´s, i do realize that he is listed as a rogue, but it just makes me wonder seing as he is wearing warlock gear, and even share the same tattoes as the illidari demon hunter´s, or maybe he´s just simple a rogue that has been sorta "empowered" with felpowers?
