These Ravagers cannot be tamed- they are random spawns that flock to Toshley's Station to attack the NPC's. Easily confused with the Rip-Blade Ravager- same skin with variable colors, but tamable.

This ravager will be tameable in Cataclysm. He will look like the Rip-Blade ravager's purple/orange model.

You're in for a wait.
They spawn as a random attack on Toshley's Station, they come from all directions and just swarm the place. If you want to tame one, you have to wait on the very edge of their spawn locations to tame, otherwise they will be one shoted by the guards. I got mine on my 5th try.

Good place to stand is on the road directly west of town as they should spawn right in front of you. This is a good location for horde as well as you wont be in range to agro the towns guards.

I just got a Gore-Scythe Ravager pet...

I got home and logged on and waited. Then when was reading this i went back into game to find myself between a Gore-Scythe Ravager attack. I couldnt believe it but yes it was my luck.

It happed on Darkspear Server at 12:00 Server Time...

The *very* weird thing about taming these is that once tamed, the guards firing the guns at the Ravager horde will still attack it! even after it is tamed and yours.

Being 85 of course it doesn't get one shot, but it definitely takes damage from the shots (so much so that eventually my pet was killed).

This was shortly after I tamed the pet though, I haven't been back since.

Easy enought to tame this ravager, with the help of NPCScan: just add its entry and surf the web, they are very slow, just stay where Wark wrote :)

These seem to spawn every hour, on the hour.

I flew in to the area just as an attack was happening, having no idea what was going on, and missed out on a tame. Took some time to read the comments here, and then camped on the road for an hour. The next spawn happened like clockwork. Got my tame, prettiest ravager in the game. Totally worth the wait.

Annoying... twice now, I've gotten him, mounted up... then when I dismounted he was the two-toned purple one. Had him for a while, until I came across an elite rare that I tamed then stabled, went back, found him, tamed him, and again... looked fine until after I flew away. Dismount and voila, got the same two-toned purple one again. Now have to wait for a respawn. :S

EDIT - Arg! respawned, tamed, so I immediately mounted/dismounted and bam! all orange ravager. :S

So, tried grabbing a 2 tone purple one, mount/dismount and now orange. Totally messed up and annoying!

I waited roughly 45 mins for these to spawn, at approx 10:09 pm EST.
