Is there a point to this fellow? He has two kids with him and just snoozes by the beach, occasionally waking... he names a few zones in outland and then seems relieved it was all a dream and goes back to sleep.

He wakes up every now and then and says: "Was... Was it all a dream? Azuremyst, Bloodymyst, Zangarmarsh, Shadowmoon... even Zul'Aman... Jane! Jane where are you!"
Jane says, "I'm right here, daddy. You've been asleep all day long. You sure must be tired!'
Then Jessel says before falling back asleep, "Ah, wonderful. It was all just a dream..."

What does it all mean??

To my opinion the family is just at the beach, Jessel is asleep and Nova and jane are collecting shells

Jessel is an Blood Elf NPC in Eversong Woods, and is presumably the father of Jane and Nova (Reference to Jenova).

He is often asleep but briefly wakes up, describing dreams involving the Azuremyst Isles, Outland, and Zul'Aman (All of them areas introduced in the Burning Crusade Expansion).

that's everything i could find ond this guy...quite a mistery...

Im pretty sure he is the father of jane and nova as said already preferebly a reference to nova terra who sits near a shrine

I wonder if he fought in those places and managed to make it home a broken man and a widower. That's why he wakes up from nightmares and frantically calls for his daughter Jane.

I've rolled over a half-dozen blood elves over the years, never took a single one down the back of this hill to see this guy and the kid. Crazy you can still find new things in old places this far out.

I used to visit this family while leveling my Blood Elves. Was hoping to see if they brought their story forward with Midnight. But I haven't found anything yet.
