This is the second boss in the "Spider" (north-east) wing of Naxxramas. Strategies for defeating her can be found at

We spent a night of attempts with her (post 1.12 nerf) and didn't make a lot of headway past the first enrage. We came back the next day and started sacrificing an add at the beginning of the fight to buy us 30 seconds of silence. This allowed us to get in position and burn the adds down quickly without having to deal with the poison volley and RoF, and it made all of the difference in the world for us. If you have the DPS to take her down in 4 minutes I strongly advocate this approach to take some of the chaos out of the pull / add burning.

Timing is crucial in this fight. If the Naxxramas Cultists are sacrificed before Grand Widow Faerlina enrages, she will not enrage for approximately 30s after the Cultist is sacrificed. If the Cultists are sacrificed after Grand Widow Faerlina enrages, she will not enrage for approximately 60s, and her poison bolt volley will also be silenced for approximately 30s.
In terms of the learning curve, although it can take more attempts to get used to the timing, sacrificing the Cultists just after Grand Widow Faerlina has enraged gives the raid a lot more time. As it is such a quick, DPS-intensive encounter, this can be very important.
Greater Fire Protection Potions and Greater Nature Protection Potions are also crucial, as DPS classes do not have time to step out and bandage themselves during this encounter, nor can they effectively heal themselves such that they can mitigate the incoming damage (since where the fire is avoidable, poison is not).

If you have decent warriors, each can tank 2 followers with 2 healers on them, 1 healer when they are tanking one. This frees up some warriors to DPS. I also advocate using an initial early sacrifice for 30 second silence. It made our kills quite smoother.

I've found that if your DPS is good enough, sacrificing an add at the very begining can really help buy out some time to get the boss into position, aswell as clear the other 2 adds that cannot be sacrificed

Level: Boss
Approximately 1,500,000 health.
Location: Second boss of the Spider wing in Naxxramas
Type: Humanoid
Poison Bolt Volley: Similar to AQ40 bosses ( Viscidus, Lord Kri ), she will cast a Poison Volley, hitting ~10 random people every 10 seconds or so. Doing around 1450 direct poison damage, and also applying a cleansable poison DoT, doing 450 damage every 2 seconds and lasting for 4 ticks. This damage is resistable, but since this is a heavy DPS race, nothing but premium NR pieces should be used.
Rain of Fire: Similar to any Warlock's or Gehennas' attack. 40 yard range, and does around 2000 damage per tick. It is resistable, and therefore Warriors/Rogues can put on quality FR gear to get around 150 or so to help mitigate damage. Greater Fire Protection potions can also be used.
Enrage: Has a 60 second cooldown, deals more melee damage, and increasing attack speed (~75%). This needs to be countered with a sacrifice of a Worshipper, removing the Enrage as well as silencing her Poison Bolt Volley for 30 seconds.
NOTE: You must sacrifice the worshiper AFTER she enrages if you want to stop her for the full 60 seconds. If you sacrifice the Worshipper before the enrage, it will merely delay the enrage for 30 seconds.
Worshippers and Followers
There are 6 NPCs at the start of the fight, 4 Worshippers and 2 Followers.
Worshippers
Approximately 250,000 health.
They will be off-tanked for most of the fight, and eventually sacrificed to Faerlina. When mind controlled, they can be used to remove and prevent Enrage as well as silence Fearlina's nature school for 30 seconds. Using this ability actually kills the Worshipper, so this fight cannot last more than 4:45 or so because there will be no way to prevent the Enrage if all the adds are dead.
Followers
Approximately 100,000 health. Can be stunned.
There are two ways of dealing with the Followers: off-tank them the entire fight or kill them first. If they are to be killed first, then they need to die quickly (around 30 seconds to bring both down). They do not hit particularly hard but will sometimes charge random people. In addition to that, they have an AOE silence, so try to have them tanked away from your caster classes.
Strategies
MT on Faerlina.
Off-tank the four Worshippers.
Kill or off-tank the two Followers first, then all DPS can focus on Faerlina (usually around the first enrage if you kill the Followers).
Mind Control a Worshipper at 0:50, 1:50, 2:50, 3:50, and sacrice it as she Enrages to remove it.
Devil's in the Details
The Poison Volley hurts, but can be healed through and the DoT can be cleansed off fairly easily. A Greater NR pot when learning can help ease the learning curve.
Melee can put quality Fire resistance gear on to lessen the damage of the Rain of Fire. Most importantly though, the MT and all melee need to pay attention to where it is being cast and run out of it as fast as possible. It is also very important to have ranged DPS and healers spread out throughout the room to avoid getting multiple hits with the Rain. Again, Greater FR pots will help the learning curve.
Overall this is a very short and sweet fight. It shouldn't be lasting any more than 4 minutes, and as such, it is a DPS race to get her down before you run out of adds to silence her with.

For Guilds With Problems Keeping Everyone Alive
Make sure that your Paladins and Shaman Cleanse in this fight.Have all your healers at least cleanse themselves so the paladins/shaman can cleanse the DPS. Three Paladins/shaman cleansing is a solid number. Make sure your cleansers are wearing mana/5 and intellect gear instead of their +healing gear, as cleansing can drain quite a bit of your mana. For newer guilds, this fight is very healing intensive as people might not get out of the rain of fire quick enough. Assigning 4 healers with the most +healing to cover 2 groups each with rank 5 renews and Rank 6 rejuvs can be quite effective, as that spell is usually their quickest heal in terms of cast time, and is quite efficient.
That leaves 8 healers left, assuming a raid of 15 healers, two healers on the main tank, the other 6 healers on the followers/worshippers. Have your mind controlling priest heal a tank that is tanking a follower, so he can move into position for the MC once the two followers are dead. Have the other healer healing a follower tank also be a priest. Make sure that he watches over the mind control priest's health, as well as have him make sure the main tank is topped off just before the enrage. Have him become the backup MCer in case the mind control priest dies for any reason.
If your whole raid lives through the first sacrifice, this fight gets easier and easier. With each Worshipper sacrifice, more and more healers are freed up and your chances of keeping the raid as well as the main tank alive go up.

# Mob Composition
1. Grand Widow Faerilina
2. Follower
3. Worshipper
# Mob Characteristics
1.
Poison Bolt Volley
- Shoots poison at an enemy, inflicting Nature damage, then additional damage every 2 sec. for 10 sec.
* 1200 - 1400 Direct Damage
* 413 to 587 nature damage inflicted every 2 sec (DoT)
* 30 Yard Range - Limited to 10 players affected
2.
Rain of Fire
- Rain of fire spell similar to Gehenes. The raid needs to spread out to minimize effect.
* 1850 to 2150 Fire damage every 2 sec. for 6 sec
* Can be resisted - Melee should wear FR - Ranged can out range the rain.
3.
Enrage
- After engaging the Grand Widow will Enrage every 60 seconds.
* Physical damage dealt is increased by 500.
* Attack speed increased by 150%.
* Can be silenced by a Worshipper
4. Melee Attack
- A Melee attack that does ??? damage to a single target.
# General Strategy
1. Healing Strategy
Multiple Offtanks will be assigned to the Adds ( 6-adds ). A MT will be on the Grand Widow. Healers should be assigned accordingly. It is important for a Priest to shield just prior to the 1-minute ENRAGE and healing should be concentrated to the MT for this transition.
* Priests, Paladins, and non-tanking Druids
A priest will Mind Control a Worshiper at about the 30 second mark so that we get an early silence on GWF at the 45-50 second mark. All future controls will be 15 Seconds prior to the ENRAGE. Once Grand Widow ENRAGES the priest will use the SILENCE spell on the Grand Widow which will dispell the ENRAGE and sacrifice the worshipper.
* Cleansers
Druids and Paladins after Poison Bolts
2. Combat Strategy
1. Party Composition
- MT Group for Grand Widow Faerlina
- Multiple Off tank groups
- Melee DPS and the MT should wear Fire Resistance.
2. Postioning
MT Group
The Main Tank Group and his healers will Grand Widow on the platform. The raid will remain in the NE corner of the room and DPS down the Followers. The Worshipper/Offtank Groups will be on the South side.
3. Fight Dynamics
* Initial contact
MT and OT's will be assigned and engage the Grand Widow and the Adds simultaneously. Hunters should be assigned to pull the two Adds back to the waiting Offtanks in the NE with the main Raid force.
* Kill Adds
A kill order will be assigned and the two Follower adds should be killed first. During this time 2-4 other OT's are moving the Worshippers out of range of the Grand Widows Rain of Fire to be off tanked for the whole fight.
* Fight Strategy
- The followers will be pulled to 2 Offtanks in the Norht east and the raid will Kill the adds. The adds need to die in about 1:20.
- Meanwhile the MT and his healers need to move to the platform area and engage GWF. Healers should be prepared for a silence and stay spread out on the run in to GWF. It may be smart to use a Bubble Pally to run in and dispell the silence (if it is dispellable) with the MT group.

3.
*
* Enrage
Every 60 seconds after engaging, the Grand Widow will Enrage. Here is the time line for Priest Mind Control, GWF Enrage, and using the silence ability (Widows Embrace):
00:00 Engage
00.45 Mind Control new worshipper
00:50 Silenced with worshipper
01:05 Mind Control new worshipper
01:20 Enraged
01:20 Silenced with worshipper
02:10 Mind Control new worshipper
02:20 Enraged
02:20 Silenced with worshipper
03:10 Mind Control new worshipper
03:20 Enraged
03:20 Silenced with worshipper
04:20 Enraged (should be dead before this point)
4. Special Notes
The key to this fight will be avoiding the Rain of Fire.
Silencing the Grand Widow when she ENRAGES. While she is ENRAGED it is possible for the MT to be one shotted.

For level 70 players wanting to do this boss:
Because of the high amount of stamina in comparison to level 60 players, surviving her abilities is not hard at all. You can choose to simply off-tank her adds and burn her and not worry about the Enrage she does. We chose to sacrifice once after she enraged just to make sure we one shot her, but our tank reported after that the damage increase she received was not major at all.
Players should still avoid the Rain of Fire however, it can hurt but you have a lot more room for error now.

Well now you don't need to MC the adds, just kill one when GWF goes enrage.
So, it should be like this.
OT need to tank adds MT tanks GWF, When she goes enrage, kill 1 worshiper. Repeat.Loot.

I tanked Widow as a Feral DPS spec (no 12% DR, 5000armor or 6% dodge) very, very easily. She hits like a bitch and does mainly spell damage, so a Feral tank is ideal for soaking up the damage.
Very easy encounter.

As of patch 3.0.3, there is no need to MC them, simply killing them near her will do the trick

There are two different versions of this fight. You do not need a Priest for this fight. Simply killing the Worshipper will now cast Widow's Embrace.
Normal Version
No follower's are spawned and four Worshippers are spawned.
Heroic Version
Two Follower's and four Worshippers are spawned.
--
If you have really good dps
, killing the Worshippers every 30 seconds will do. This will calm her before her Frenzy can go off, but realize that she will Frenzy when the debuff fades away after 30 seconds. This only prevents her Frenzy from being allowed to cast.
If you do not have great dps
, you will need to play a bit more skillfully on this encounter. Killing a Worshipper when she emotes her Frenzy is the best method of action. Great target switching by the raid will be needed, but this will train your raid to be more skillful! Weaken a Worshipper and kill it quickly as she emotes, you have a few seconds before she will attack (maybe KILL) your tank. Since she casted Frenzy and had it dispelled means that she will now have to wait another minute to recast Frenzy, which for an undergeared raid will give you almost twice the amount of time to manage the fight's dps check.

Note, on heroic(25man) you need a priest in the raid, that can MC the Worshippers and use their "Widow's Embrace" spellto dispell her frenzy. Killing Worshippers will not dispell frenzy.on heroic.

Just did it 10man . the trick is to kill one mage at exact time when she go in to frenzy mode. have one dps on ad and nuke him down to 10% when Faerlina go frenzy mode the dps will just nuke the ad down and there you go. just dont trust the addons becouse the frenzy waring is not on sec. so just look when she go in to frenzy and nuke hear down then. gl and hf. /Enstorstark from Soldier on Mazrigos.

The Worshipers, at least on 10 Man, seem to be immune to Mind Control.
If you can get her health low enough, however, after the third Frenzy is dispelled, you may be able to DPS race her if you accidentally kill the last Worshiper. This is NOT recommended as a strategy, and simply a warning that it's not a DEFINITE raid wipe, especially not for overgeared groups.

I'd just like to suggest some things to help make this boss fight a little easier for everyone.
-Have your MT tank her up on the platform and ready to move around to avoid Rain of Fire.
-Have your OT pick up all the adds and immediately begin dropping one down, as the enrage time draws potentially closer get the add down to a point where you can use 1-2 instant abilities to kill the mob to remove the enrage.
-If you have a warrior tanking the boss it's extremely helpful to have them make a macro to intervene the OT and to hit it as soon as she enrages. You'll run out of range of her melee attacks for just a few seconds and getting you out of the massive amount of damage she'll do to you. Have you OT kill the add and repeat.
-Help if you have a shaman dropping a poison cleansing totem as well

Overall a pretty easy and simple boss on normal.
We engaged her with 2 mages and 2 shamans, as well as a paladin main tank and druid offtank.
2 of the worshippers were sheeped, the third one was kept in hex by the two shamans, and the fourth one was grabbed by our feral druid who DPSed it down to around 15% together with a rogue.
One thing that apparently wasn't mentioned anywhere (and caused an unnecessary wipe for our group on this boss) is that
Faerlina must be close to the worshipper when it dies or the enrage will not be removed!
We initially had the worshippers relatively far from her, where they stood in the beginning, with Faerlina standing in the middle of the room, and killing the worshipper did not remove the enrage, and our healers couldn't keep up very long then.
So keep that in mind!

Grand Widow Faerlina
10 Man
MT
: Tank Faerlina on the platform. Before the Frenzy timer goes off, make sure she is dragged to the first kill-target worshipper (add).
OT
: Tank either all 4 adds or how many are not crowd-controlled with sheep, hex etc. Watch the health of the first kill-target worshipper. Worshippers should NOT be killed until Faerlina goes into frenzy. Must make sure the kill target is
RIGHT NEXT TO
Faerlina when she is frenzied when it dies.
Assigned DPS
: Help lower the HP of the kill-target worshipper then move to boss.
DPS
: blast Faerlina to high hell. When she is IN frenzy, finish off the kill-target worshiper.
Move out of reign of fire.
Healers
: Dispel poison. Heal.
Rise and Repeat until she's dead. Must kill the worshippers to get her out of Frenzy. And she hits like a TRUCK in frenzy = wipe.

If the off-tank Body Pulls, then followers/worshippers will immediately run to him, instead of the MT allowing the MT to pull Faerlina off the OT instead of the OT having to pull all 4(or 6) mobs off the MT one at a time.

Did GWF today on 25man...we came up with a weird but effective strategy...
-Engage Battle-
We had three mages in our team...each of them select one worshipper and sheep them leaving the last one for OT hold on to it.
Every 5sec before GWF enrages, our priest MC the tanked worshipper and silence GWF's enrage.
Repeat the process
As for the other two follower, wiped it with the help of DK tanking it, no big deal
We actually took GWF down without MCing the last worshipper
Hope this is helpfull...
plz ignore my poor english...im french

After 3 tries we came up with a pretty good strat for the 10 man version:
Raid Composition:
MT - Warrior
OT - Tankadin
Healers - 1 Palladin, 1 Shaman, 1 Druid
DPS - 1 Rogue, 1 Feral Druid, 1 UH DK, 1 Fire Mage, 1 MM Hunter
MT took GWF to the bottom of the steps, our Tankadin OT just kept the 4 adds aggro on the platform (standing a little behind em). They did not body pull as they were all ranged/casters. We assigned one rogue to DPS the first add to 10% then switch back to the boss. Right before enrage, Deathknight targeted it and called out the raid symbol. As soon as GWF enraged, DK death gripped the add to GWF's vicinity (if that add was too far away from the boss, GWF's enrage wouldn't dissipate). Add died in about 1/2 a second and enrage dissipated.
Rinse, repeat. MT would move the boss whenever the rain of fire came down. Pretty decent fight and easy, once we adopted this strategy.

Theory about Grand Widow Faerlina:
I just readed the history "The road to Damnation" about Kel'Thuzads destiny as The Lich Kings servant and I fell over this little clip which I think indicates Grand Widow Faerlina destiny:
"Anub'arak took him to a cell that held two prisoners. Villagers, by their homespun clothing. The man was cradling the woman in his arms; she was ghastly pale and soaked in sweat. Alive, both of them, though the woman was clearly ill. Kel'Thuzad glanced at the crypt lord uneasily.
Her desperate glassy eyes found Kel'Thuzad and brightened.
"Mercy, my lord! My body fails. I have seen what will happen next. One bolt of flame, I beg of you. Let me rest in peace."
She was afraid of becoming the necromancer's thrall. According to Anub'arak, she would have no choice. Kel'Thuzad looked away queasily. After all, she couldn't live much longer anyway.
She struggled out of the man's arms and clung to the cell bars.
"For pity's sake! If you will not aid me, at least take my husband to safety!"
And she wept hopelessly.
"Hush, sweetheart," the man murmured behind her. "I will not leave you."
"Make her be quiet!" Kel'Thuzad whispered fiercely at Anub'arak.
"The noise distresses you?" With one lightning-quick motion, Anub'arak shot one claw through the bars and speared the woman through the heart. Then the crypt lord casually shook the corpse off onto the floor.
Her husband howled with anguish. Guiltily relieved, Kel'Thuzad began to turn away, but froze when the corpse started thrashing and arching against the stone floor. The male villager gaped in shock and fell silent.
The dead woman's skin was changing color: shifting to a faintly greenish gray. Gradually the spasms died off, and she scrambled unsteadily to her feet. She rolled her head to one side, then shivered as she spotted her husband. "Guards, get this man out of here." she rasped.
The guards didn't move. With a groan, she raked her fingers through her tangled brown hair, and Kel'Thuzad got a good look at her face. Blood vessels were darkening under the skin, and her eyes seemed feral, crazed.
Her husband asked doubtfully, "My love? Are you all right?"
A bitter laugh escaped her and twisted into a snarl when he took a hesitant step toward her. "Don't come any closer."
The man ignored her protest and went toward her, but she shoved him away with enough force to send him flying. He hit the cell bars and slid down, stunned.
"Stay back." Her speech was becoming more guttural. "Hurt you." She wrapped her arms around herself, backed up until she bumped against the opposite side of the cell. "Hurt you, hurt you," she whined, and something began to be wrong with the way she said it.
Uncomprehending, Kel'Thuzad watched her slowly, jerkily lift a hand to the hole in her chest. She hissed, grimaced, and brought her fingers to her mouth. Licked them. Sucked at them.
Then in a blur of movement, she was leaping at her husband, lashing out, baring her teeth -
The man screamed, and blood spurted onto the cell floor. Kel'Thuzad flinched away. Closing his eyes didn't help; he could still hear unspeakable sounds. Ripping, shredding. Chewing.
A soft, wretched mewling that he very much feared meant the undead woman was aware of her actions on some level, but unable to stop herself. "
My theory
:
After killing her husband, Faerlina was twisted in her mind and become a servant of The Lich King.
Grand Widow Faerlina
Fell free to read it. But I think that the women in this story is Faerlina basicly because her name is Grand
"Widow"
Faerlina. A widow is a woman whose husband has died. It would make sense! She is in the Arachnid Quarter with Anub'Arak as Kel'Thuzads guide.
Edit: Just changed some of my arguments. Should be more clear now!

Just a note, there is a bug with this boss as of 1/3/09. On heroic our guild had a bug occur when we killed on of the adds (possibly two), it did not remove the frenzy effect. This bug was also confirmed by another guild on our server, Blade's Edge. No clue what triggers it, but it can happen.

/in 50 /rw Mind control a Naxxramas Worshiper and get ready!
/in 110 /rw Mind control a Naxxramas Worshiper and get ready!
/in 170 /rw Mind control a Naxxramas Worshiper and get ready!

If you use it right, it will tell a priest in advance when to do it on the exact second.

I noticed something quite odd and I was wondering if anyone can verify this.
Before 3.0.8, if you killed a worshiper prematurely, Grand Widow Faerlina would enrage and you'd need to kill a 2nd one. I believe last week we did Naxx and had some
premature
killings but the thing is, she didn't enrage when she was suppose to when the embrace was put up early. Now i notice the spell on wowhead says that the embrace "
prevents
and removes frenzy". Was this changed recently or am i remembering things incorrectly?

You MUST tank the Naxxramas Cultists on the same platform as her, whether it is the stage or the floor it does not matter. My guild wiped twice while tanking the cultists ont he stage and Faerlina on the floor because she did not lose the enrage effect when we killed a cultist.

This Frenzy on grand Widdow fearlina in naxxramas. comes after a small amount of time, and gives the debuff you see on top. this needs to be dispelled. and you do that by killing 1 of her adds, who need to be tanked by the OT. It's important that you save these adds for when frenzy comes. Note that if you dont kill the add near Fearlina, it will have no effect.
Best way of doing this is to have a death knight to pull the add to the boss using Death grip, and then kill it. but the tank will have to get the add to 10% first, and then go for next adds. this is the easiest way.
If you have a good tank and good healers, you can start out by nuking the adds down fast. then go for the boss and go for full nuke without dispelling the frenzy. it goes faster, and less confusion, and you get an achivement for it :)
Good luck

This boss is simple, but if u dont do it right, u may wipe.
When u encounter her, u must have ur offtank pick up the adds, but dont kill them yet! Only make him keep his aggro, Nuke her until she Enrages, when she does, focus all your dps onto one of the cultists, when its dead, her Enrage fades if they are all killed too fast, you cant dispel it.

A friend may have found a relativly simple stratagey to downing her and getting the achievement without much hassle for the healers. (Assuming it is done correctly.)
The plan involves 3 tanks, when she is pulled, all adds are killed as quickly as possible.
This will leave just the raid and her left. The three tanks should then form a large triangle, each forming a point.
Now this is the tricky part. All tanks must be within each others taunt range. Then from there on the battle consists of the tanks "kiting" her around the triangle by using their taunts.
This can make things a little more difficult for melee DPS and if done incorrectly, the healers need to heal through her enrage which obviously isn't easy.
As far as I know, this can be done with any tanking class, but is probably easiest with 3 Warrior tanks or Death Knights.
Good Luck!

No, the Grand widow, first of all, wasn't a peasant like these are described.
Villagers, by their homespun clothing.
She was a botanist in life, which should mean she was atleast fairly well off. Well enough that someone was paying her to experiment with wild life instead of having to cultivate land, at least.
The Grand Widow Faerlina, a botanist in life, breeder and caretaker of arachnids in death, she oversees the spider wing, developing the most potent of poisons for the Lich King.
Second, the woman in the story goes more and more guttoral, and loses the ability to talk properly, like a 14 year old boy next to a pretty girl.
The Grand Widow doesn't have this problem, as you experience in Naxxramas. Her speach is almost sexy.
"Your old lives, your mortal desires mean nothing! You are acolytes of the master now and you will serve the cause without question! The greatest glory is to die in the masters service!"
That's not the sentence of a woman that can only say "HURT YOU!"
Thirdly, I think you will find in a war against the undead where a plague is spreading across the land, this will not be the only person to have lost a husband. By the reasoning that the girl in the story is a widow because she kills her husband, half of azeroth would be the grand widow.
Plus, the woman died first. The husband would technically be the widow.
And lastly, the Grand Widow doesn't "leap" and she doesn't bare her teeth. She still has some humanity, or she couldn't be smart enough to carry out the Lich Kings will to create these new poisons.
I think you'll find that in Naxxramas there are other creatures that have a guttoral voice, look humanoid, leap and tear at you with nails and teeth.
She is nothing more than a

For the heroic achievement, get 6 healers and 3 decent or better mitigation tanks, for Normal, 3 healers and 2 decent or better mitigation tanks and its cake. We AOE'd the adds down asap, had about 5 seconds before she enraged once they were all down, then the other tank(s), Prot War and myself Prot Paladin, just spammed taunt back and forth until she was dead. Activate ALL your mitigation CD's/trinkets as soon as you're able to, and the idea is that she'll get a few swings on each tank then switch to another one, giving the previous tank time to get healed up. 2 healers on each tank and there is enough rest between each tanks 'turn' to raid heal for the poison/rain of fire. I had to get Brez'd once on heroic but we've been nailing the achievement every time. On normal mode though, if you want the achievement, you have to group up the adds WAY away from the boss before you kill them or it will count as a dispell effect and you won't get the achievement.

With good gear on two healers and a tank, it's not hard to get the achievement in 10-man. Just make sure that someone else is available to dispel the poison and heal the non-tanks, as two healers will need to focus almost all their cooldowns on healing the tank.
Everyone else, nuke the worshippers early, and don't stand in the fire.

If you dont have many CCers, It's actually alot easier to go for the achievement than killing her the normal way.

In 10 man, I just heal through the enrage, spamming holy light on the tank all the time, plus druid dots is enough for us to keep our MT up.

With a lock minion, it's possible to pull her and her adds in the back hall, causing her to reset, but the adds to remain. Thus, the adds fall, and then you re-engage the boss, making it a single tank fight. However, frenzy cannot be dispelled then, of course. Also wondering what Blizz thinks about it.

As of right now, this boss -is- quite easily soloable by a DK on 10-man at 85.
I did it in blood spec / DPS gear (359 with a few 372 items). Simply start by leaving all 4 adds up. Kite her out of rain of fire. When she enrages, kill an add. Use AMS just as her widow's embrace debuff is about to fall off so you don't get hit with poison bolt volley. She will enrage at a random point after the debuff falls off, it may take up to 15 seconds for her to do so, giving you plenty of DPS time before having to run to kill another add. You will take the most damage at the start of the fight while all 4 adds are alive, however they aggro onto bloodworms so if you don't start the fight with AOE you'll save yourself a fair amount of incoming fireball damage.

Soloable by a MM hunter with spirit bond (maybe not necessary, but I couldn't do it without it). Pet tank her with all the adds together. I was not able to find a way through any spec or with 2pc t5 to mend through her frenzy. Just have to do it the old fashioned way and kill one add at a time each time she does it.
The trick is doing enough damage to her that by the time the last add goes down, you have her health low enough to beat her last frenzy. You can even mend through that for 10 or 15 seconds before your pet goes down. 350 item level doing just under 9k for the whole fight, making sure to save readiness for the end and use 2 rapid fires to finish her off.
Pop a prismatic elixir and you can stand in the rain of fire no problem. Used Aspect of the Wild as well to mitigate poison bolt damage, switching to hawk after killing the last worshiper. Only thing to really worry about is the fireballs coming from the worshipers. Just keep feigning on CD and MD to pet as much as you can without killing them until their time. Becomes a non-issue after 2 of them are dead. No t5 necessary.
Not exactly easy in this gear, but doable. I suspect it's laughable for someone in full 359 or higher.

Soloed as a fury warrior (ilevel 381). Pretty straightforward with good enough gear - at the start, pop all your cooldowns and nuke her hard. AoE down three of the adds while nuking her using cleaves/WW/heroic leap. Leave the 4th add up until widow's embrace is about to fall off, then intercept it and kill it quickly. You then have 30 seconds left to kill the boss before she enrages and the damage becomes unhealable, so be fast. I managed this with 33k DPS and 2.8k HPS (including enraged regen).

Soloed her in 351 dps gear at 10 men difficulty on my blood dk, I just dps'd her, killed the add as soon as she enraged (15-20k hits), to stop her for at least 30 sec, etc.
At around 100k she enraged and I didn't have any more adds, went down to 50% hp, but still made it.
Other tale is the 25 men difficulty, to remove the frenzy you need a priest to MC the adds and then kill them near faerlina (at 10 you don't need to MC); since when solo you won't have anyone to MC adds, you will have to tank her in frenzy all the time; I didn't even try in dps gear (had 386 or so when I tried), you're not going to kill her in 1 minute, having like 6,6 millions hp, the only way is full tank gear for max healing and absorb, kill all adds first and kite her and cycle cds intelligently till she dies.
First serious try was in 381 full tank gear, except a 397 dps belt with dps sockets; got her to 2,6 millions, which I didn't expect, but I had no cds ready any more. That week I gave up after only 1 try, I knew it was the best I could've done; tried again 1-2 weeks after with 382 tank gear and this time a 397 tank belt with tank sockets; still went down to 40k sometimes, but made it, and I also got the "momma said knock you out" achievement, as I didn't dispell her enrage. I kited all the time, this gives you more time to recharge your runes for DS or other ways of healing, also used icebound fortitude, ghoul, sacrifice, vampiric blood, empower rune weapon, even lichborne probably, each time it was off cd, like on razuvious 10. Very interesting boss to solo at 25, but mostly a gear check; I think it's not even challenging at 390-400 tank gear.

Paladin (Argeltal on Illidan) - soloed 10 Man as a Prot/Ret gear mix, with prot spec. ilvl is 393, got expertise dodge cap and 8% hit cap, 2PC t13 tank and dps sets both.
Definitely have to have prot spec to solo this. Seal of Insight is a must, don't worry about resists, use Devo aura and Seal of Might. Do the following:
1. Kill the adds. The fire damage they add over time is more than Frenzy does, even with resist aura.
2. Cleanse. Remove every instance of the poison DoT. You'll never have mana problems because of SoInsight.
3. Kite her. Backpedal around the room in a circle. This will keep you out of her Rain of Fire.
4. Cycle your CDs, do not use them all at once. You will heal more than she deals using Word of Glory, along with seal procs.
5. Loot! 132g, 2 epics.
Before I forget, when using any strat, if I get low, I save 3x Holy Power, Bubble, and Avenging Wrath. This means you'll heal for a lot. Start spamming Divine Light and go back to kiting!

Hunter Solo Guide/Advice
Very similar to soloing Anub, an easy solo and free gold. Make sure you have a tenacity pet specced into everything tanky, damage isn't really needed from your pet, just survivability. Glyph of Mend Pet + Misdirection are a must for any solos.
Pull by Multishot MDing to your pet, Multi shot the add to the right and left of Faerlina to hit them all, thus, MDing all of them. From time to time they switch target, back onto you but just Multishot MD them back onto your pet.
Kill an add everytime Faerlina enrages, if you've got decent enough DPS then you should only have to kill 2-3. Killing 2 at the start if you're confident enough then killing the other 2 as the fight progresses. Move out of Rain of Fire, of course and keep up mend pet for your purps and gold!

As it turns out, you can switch between 10m and 25m on the same Raid ID. So if you're trying to do 25m, and can't solo it, exit the instance, change to 10m and try again.
On 25m, as feral in 5.1 with 376iLvl I couldn't solo her. I didn't try guardian. Could get her down to about 20% and that was it. Discovered I could switch versions as I was flying back to the instance.

Not a problem for pallies at 90... just tank and spank, though you should kill the adds first, just in case (that's what I did after reading comments). Really easy, didn't even need Word of Glory or anything.

This fight was a little tougher on 25-man than expected and took me two tries because I wasn't thinking... Once she goes into a frenzy, I rotated Evasion and Combat Readiness because she starts to hit hard. (And may as well take out the adds first, but nothing a few Fan of Knives couldn't take of!)

As an brewmaster monk she give me some hard time, cause most of the monk BM techniques are multi targets, it's not easy to kill the adds one by one
