Mechagon Legendary Pet Strategies - The Mighty Minions of Mechagon
Just use Fire shield, then lightning shield and spam main attack. Easiest fight
Another strategy, for those who are keeping to the few pets from my guides:
Unit 35 1::122616M:11181FS:ZR0:N:Curse of Doom\n Unholy Ascension\n Black Claw\n Flock\n\nIf you get unlucky and your Ikky dies, just hit once with your third pet.
If you get unlucky and your Ikky dies, just hit once with your third pet.
Just soloed her with Anubisath Idol. Easiest legendary encounter of my life.
Unborn Val'kyr (1 2 1)
Zandalari Kneebiter (2 2 2)
Any lvl 25 pet (I used Darkmoon Tonk just in case)
Start with Curse of Doom
If things go well, this should finish the boss off for good. The damage from Haunt killed it on the same turn that it did its mech-type res.

Stormstruck Beaver (Lightning Shield, then Discharge) nearly soloed this. Then just finish it off with elemental attacks from other pets.
- Ikky (Black Claw & Flock)
- Molten Corgi (Flamethrower & Puppies of the Flame)
1. Black Claw
4. Puppies of the Flame
That's it! <3
Just wanted to add that this strategy works for the battles needed for
, except for:
(which is even easier and only needs Ikky!)
(which just needs one more pet and a teeny tweak!)
(the top strat works great!)
CK-9 Micro-Oppression Unit
work, but if rng isn't on your side you'll have trouble!)
You can let Unit 35 kill himself by using elemental type pets that have a thorns type ability, then smack them with elemental attacks it continues to attack with Flock X. Breed didn't seem to matter when I did it.
Electrified Razortooth (2,1,2) - Wait a couple turns before using the Lightning Shield ability because he'll cast Flock X on like the 3rd round.
Jade Tentacle (2,1,2)
Sinister Squashling (1,1,2)
Easy Peasy! Got it first try!
Unborn Valkyr > Curse of Doom > Unholy Ascension
Tinytron > double shield let it kill it self
I beat the bot with Lil' KT, Lil' Ragnaros and Lil' Bling, the Lil' team.
Start with Lil' Bling
1. Make it Rain
2. Extra Plating
(when lil' Bling gets revived from mechanical swap him out)
4. bring in Lil' Kt. with Howling Blast
5. Frost Nova
6. Death and Decay
7. Death and Decay (Lil' KT Dies)
8. lil' bling back in with Inflation (dies right after)
9. finish him with lil' ragnaros with literally any 1/2 spells
On a whim I tried a combo that had worked for sputtertube cause I didnt both switching em out (not optimal)
1. Shadow Sporebat 2, 2, 2
2. Ikky 1, 1, 1
3. Kun-Lai Runt 2, 2, 2
1. leech seed, sporeshroom, 1-2 hits with shadow slash(died)
2. black talon, flock (died)
3. frost shock (Unit 35 dies & regenerates), deep freeze
unit 35 died on deep freeze
Anubisath Idol with the Stoneskin ability is great against Unit 35.
(P/S) - x, 1, 1
(H/P) - 1, 2, 1
1 - Black Claw
2-4 - Flock. Ikky dies.
1 - Ironskin
2-3 - Falcosaur Swarm! Unit 35 should die here for the first time.
4 - Predatory Strike
String for Rematch addon: Unit 35::11181FS:12171TN:N:N:Ikky: 2-3\nDirebeak Hatchling: 2-1-3
You can solo this just
. Used 2,1,2 but I'm sure 2,1,1 would work fine also. Again just takes a while but Broot was basically back at full health at the end.
Easily completed with:
Aldrusian Sproutling 2,1,2
Blazehound still had 1122 health, so 3rd pet can be anything.
This strat was actually used for another unit, but works wonders here as well.
Curse of Doom
Make it Rain
(maybe one more
Make it Rain
in the end).
Ez ez :D!
will almost solo this pet. Bring another random pet to finish it off.
I had two different successes with two different collections:
Unborn Valkyr to make Anubisath Idol go a little faster. The traditional Curse of Doom/Unholy Ascension before Anub comes on, does Sandstorm to block all damage, and then haphazardly Demolish to victory. This probably works with any pet with Sandstorm to block almost all of Unit 35's damage.
If you don't have a pet with Sandstorm, I used:
Unborn Valkyr (the usual Curse of Doom/Unholy Ascension), Emmigosa (Ice Tomb, Wild Magic, Breath), Celestial Dragon (Flamethrower)
And it worked reliably.
This team managed it pretty easily:
Direbeak Hatchling: 1,2,1
Ancient Nest Guardian: 2,1,1
Brilliant Kaliri: 2,1,2
Ironskin, followed by Falcosaur Swarm as often as you can, and if this pet has enough health, a Predatory Strike before it dies
Ancient Nest Guardian
Extra Plating, and Batter as often as you can before its dead.
Shriek, followed by Quills until Unit 35 is dead.
1 pet... 2 abilities... 3 rounds
Use any pet to facetank the first attacks. Once dead, then use Giggling Flame with Fire Shield as a second pet and giggle as this boss Flocks itself into oblivion.
These worked for me, first try:
1. Unborn Val'kyr (2, 2, 2) Start with Curse of Doom, hit with Shadow shock, and reserve Unholy Ascension for when the Val'kyr is down to 1 health. (after it revives with 18 health, you can get first a hit with Shadow shock, then it will go down to 1 health and allow you that one last hit.)
2. Ikky (2, 1, 1) Start with Back Claw, then use Flock.
3. Harbinger of Flame (2, 2, 1) Finish off with Immolate if needed.

Pets to Use

Leveling Pet any level
Round 01: Black Claw
Round 02: Flock
Round 03: Flock
Round 04: Flock - Ikky dies
Round 05: Swap to Direbeack Hatchling
Round 06: Iron Skin
Round 07: Falcosaur Swarm
Round 08: Falcosaur Swarm
Round 09: Predatory Strike - Unit 35 dies
Easy strategy: Any pets with fire shield. I used the following:
1- Giggling Flame 2,1,1
2- Magma Rageling : 1,2,1
First pet: Fire shield - Flame Jet - Immolate.
Second Pet: Fire shield - Flamethrower.
I used the following Pets:
1.) Curse Of Doom
2.) Unholy Ascension
3.) Black Claw and then Flock until Ikky dies
4.) Then bring in Molten Corgi and cast Puppies Of The Flame
Easy win GG :)
If you have a bone shard, you can use blistering cold then ice spike spam til blistering cold comes off cool down. Blistering cold stacks and stacks and if you follow up the pet with water waveling then fel flame it works well as well due to it being chilled which water waveling can chain it's abilities off of then stun it. That's how I got it.
crazy carrot does 90% of this fight
1-2-1 (or use a pet with defensive skill like legion hatclings)
i used this build.
Easiest to do with the Emerald Protowhelp solo. Start with Emerald Presence, negates the Flock x completely. Then just breath spam and time the protostrike to every other Cluck. GG
I used Rag first
Sons of Flame
use Magma Trap when it comes up again.
If Rag dies, finish up with the other, using lightning shield or another elemental ability
Unit 25 is a mechanic Battle Pet, so I used lvl 25 rare elemental pets, targeting the abilities that did more mechanical damage. (I don't have Ikky o the other pets mentioned above) :(
(2, 2, 2),
(2, 1, 1),
(1, 1, 2)
Obsidian Bite until Blazehound dies
Swap pet to Flickering Argunite...
**Repeat these 2 steps until dies
I did this a couple of times having to use different strategies but with the same winning result... Depending on when Unit 35 trips the trigger is what ends up causing the variation. The main thing was swapping to Flickering Argunite before Terrible Turnip died so I could use him with U-35 was revived.
can solo this fight with Fire Shield, Lightning Shield and couple of Flamethrowers.
Son of Skum rulez !
Unit 35 commits suicide within 3 rounds on Skum, if you do like this:
Son of Skum 2(Stampede) 1 or 2(dosen't matter) 2(Lightning Shield)
Cast Lightning Shield
Unit 35 dies (twice) during it's own Flock.
with a combination of:
It takes a while as Tail Sweep is the only offensive spell it uses and the Unit 35 has a ton of life but keep the Ironbound Proto Whelp alive and he'll kill Unit 35 easily.
Curse of doom
Dead switch to Gnathus
Spawn of Gnathus
To be sure pick some Big damage pet to finish him
Random attack max 2
Crazy carrot can nearly finish him alone with Ironbark :D then just use any pet with bonus damage vs mechanical pets and finish him
Anubisath idol: solo
Blossoming Ancient can solo this since ironbark blocks most of the attacks.
Strategy found effective 07 Dec 2019 for Unit 35 (its Flock X ability is awfully stout, ya'll); tested 3 times:
Baby Elderhorn (Trample, Slippery Ice, Call Blizzard)
Terrible Turnip (Weakening Blow, Leech Seed, Sons of the Root)
Molten Corgi (Flamethrower, Cauterize, Puppies of the Flame)
Use - Call Blizzard, Slippery Ice, & then Trample until Unit 35 kills your baby moosen.
Use - Sons of the Root, Weakening Blow, Leech Seed, & then Weakening Blow until Unit 35 kills your aggro radish.
Use - Puppies of the Flame (at this point , Unit 35 got its zap back to life with about 25% of its HP), Flamethrower, Cauterize, & then Flamethrower until your pupperus vulcanus brings you glorious victory.
(Note: on the third run of the test, Unit 35 died during Sons of the Root, zapped itself back alive there, immediately Flock X'd my aggro radish to death, and then died about halfway through the Puppoes of the Flame.)
Killed this solo with a lvl 1
Death Talon Whelpguard
by spamming Blitz.
Three iron starlettes (1,1,1)
Powerball until dead
Repeat for second starlette
When the third starlette comes out, unit 35 will be nearly dead.
Wind up, unit 35 resurects,
i simply set up a team of
pets (just a suggestion to keep it easy for people who are new to pet battles) - no special strategy, abilities or anything else needed.
winning regular lvl 25 fight against this guy can be a real challenge depending on how many pets you already have collected and which of them might be the right ones for this fight - but when you use a Lvl 1 team, he usually dies pretty fast 👻
just make sure that your pet's first attack does a reasonable amount of
the winning pets will get a good amount of xp after the fight and eventually level up (speaking of a lvl 1 team).
so it might be a good idea to find a nice team of easy-to-get pets, gather some clones of pet number 3 and simply replace it with a fresh lvl 1, to make sure your enemy doesn't unlock it's next ability --> ❗
this is the case as soon as one of your team is level 2 or higher
❗ this way you're able to maintain 'easy-mode'.
pet number 3 is usually the only survivor... but if you're lucky and the enemy is almost down while your pets nr. 1 or 2 are still alive, punch him until only one or two attacks are needed to kill him. then start using the 'pass' button to
let him kill all pets that were involved in the fight and therefore qualify for XP
. finish him with pet nr. 3. always put the cheapest / weakest pet in slot nr. 3, this way you only have to find a replacement for
💡- works for any level-scaling pet battle, just chose the right type of pet / dmg / resistance for each fight -💡
To build on what
mentioned in his/her post. To make the fight go faster, I used a lvl 1
with a couple other lvl 1 elementals just in case.
Sun Sproutling solo'd with
It has that extra hit if you go first.
Edited to add:
not sure why you guys are down-voting me on something that works? Especially if you're just trying to complete the dailies fast for Mechagon rep and don't want to mess around with some of these complicated pet battles.
And its worked multiple times... Why don't you try it first, duh. ugh whatever.

Easy win with 2 pets...2 Elementals and a carry pet. Pets are level 25 Rare
Blazing Cindercrawler 1/3/2
Dark Phoenix 2/3
The Cindercrawler will die after you get off Heat Up, but it lasts 3 rounds, so all damage taken goes back to Unit 35. Dark Phoenix comes in and will get hit with a stampede, but the damage you take goes against him as well and his health should be low enough that he will die after he hits Dark Phoenix with stampede. On 2 of my 3 characters (only ones who can do Mech Island) I never got to Conflagrate before he died the 2nd time after rezzing.
Undead valk - curse, ascension
Tinytron - lightning shield, fire shield.
Chicken will Flock itself to death on the shields in like, one turn. Job done.
