Like the other bosses in AQ20, Ayamiss is a unique encounter that is worth doing for the novelty as much as it is for the loot and CC rep.
Ayamiss is an optional boss found in the room after Ossirian, or in the room after Buru (depending on which route you take through the instance).
Ayamiss is a 2 stage fight. In stage 1, Ayamiss is air born, and only ranged DPS can hit him. It is recommended that either a hunter rotation using distracting shot, or a heavy NR geared mage tank him. He applies a DoT to the main aggro target, so your hunters will need to Feign Death when the DoT stacks too high and let aggro go to the second highest hunter. High NR allows you to resist the DoT. Meanwhile, all melee including paladins should be on the altar. Every so often a person will get chained to the altar, and a small yellow bug will try to run up to them. The melee are responsible for preventing this. If the bug reaches the person, an elite wasp spawns that is very hard to deal with and essentially wipes the raid. Stage 2 is the same as Stage 1, except Ayamiss is on the ground and should be tanked by a warrior. Continue killing bugs with both ranged and melee DPS.
You don't have to worry about being chained to the altar if you're attempting to solo Ayamiss. He won't do it as long as you don't have a pet out or another person there.
When the bug touches the chained person on the altar the person instantly dies.
The bug isn't really fast but it's a short distance from down the altar to on the altar.
It should also be noted that when the Wasp comes into melee range a lot of non-elite wasps will appear and make a run for the one highest in aggro.
A warrior's Shockwave or Thunderclap should let you grab all the aggro and AoE can start downing the mobs.
We decided to call it a day after a wipe. If anyone has some more info about the yellow bugs that runs for the chained up person, that would be nice.
e.g. wether it can be stunned/slow downed/fear or not.
I just soloed this as a average geared feral druid. gear doesn't really matter it's all about having the time. It took me 44 minutes from pull until he died with a really bad rotation of spells used to bring him down 100% to 70%. Tactic was simple. Cast some spells on him. followed by rejuv + barkskin followed by 3 starfire and add eventual moonfire or wrath depending on how much mana you have left. Run out or range from his stacking debuffs and go into bear form and wait for adds to spawn. Swipe down most of them from the start. but keep 8-9 of them and wait 6 seconds between killing each to get the 8% of total mana recovery bonus from the leader of the pack heal to regen. Once he lands it's just tank and spank and swipe when he spawns adds. i didn't have to go out of bear to heal or anything, just remember he enrages in the end so might want to save barkskin or something for that. Add whatever you feel is better than what i did. It was my first try and last. Just wanted to do it for the sake of having soloed all bosses in aq20 as a feral druid.
Solo'd as a discipline priest in holy gear (respecc'd just for this as I needed 21 rep for exalted and had no other way of gaining the rep for Brood) T7.5 iLVL 226 bracers, cloak and boots.
Started the first ~30% running in and out DPSing Ayamiss with DoTs and running out when reaching a stack of 20, waiting for the swarm and using holy nova when there are a fair few.
During P2, you should kite Ayamiss up the slope to an already cleared Ossirian area of the instance; you can avoid all the swarms this way. Take care of mana as you will spend probably all of it
When Ayamiss enrages, this is when you will have to use all your time casting flash heal whilst keeping Grace stacked 3 times and shield up whenever possible to do the vast amount of your DPS to him. Save Desperate Prayer for unlucky lash+crit combos that can take you low very quickly, and use Pain Suppression as soon as he enrages so it's possible it will be up again before the fight is over.
DO NOT USE SHADOWFIEND EVER IN THIS FIGHT. The mechanics are the same as if the fight had MC envolved; number one on threat will never be sacrificed in this encounter.
Was very fun when I downed him, not least because I finally got Brood exalted, but also because this fight is far harder than Onyxia was to solo, even though he has 1/3rd the hitpoints; during enrage he can often hit for 3 times a second of between 800-900 per hit with Inner Fire up.
It is easier (no joke) to solo her than it is to try and 2 man her. We finally gave up trying to 2 man her. What happens is she is always throwing someone on that platform and the little yellow bug runs up. If the little yellow bug makes it to the platform, the person on the platform dies. She has to be ranged down during the first phase. Even if the person who is ranging her can kill the little yellow bug (which really isn't an issue) Ayamiss does a poison dot that infinitely stacks. You can't run out of the room if you have someone else there with you, because they will get sacrificed and die... then on top of having to deal with a dot you have to deal with an elite wasp.
Much easier to solo or you should be in a group with 4+ people (two of which that can taunt)
Good luck and have fun!
Soloed as a bear specced feral in full resto gear. Keep moonfire/rejuv up and spam wrath. When the AOE pack comes shift into bear and get some mana back. When the Stings start stacking too high (~30) Shift into cat and run all the way to the other side of the room to outrange him.
At 60% he'll come to the floor so tank him in bear form as usual. Try to put on some hit rating leather as well because missing all those lacerates and mangles starts to get old. Because i was in resto gear and only had about 20k bear health I had to shift out and heal a couple times. Make sure you do it early because he has a knockdown. Barkskin helps a lot to prevent pushback because the boss attacks VERY fast. He enrages at 20% so be ready for that as well.
All in all it was still a long fight because my bear form damage sucks in resto gear. About 10 minutes to get 300 rep blech.
Since the 1st Phase requires ranged dps, I'm assuming its not possible (or would take forever) to solo as a level 80 Protection Warrior. I haven't tried, mind you, but given that I have two ranged attacks (Heroic Throw and Shoot), it sounds like a grind to get to the 2nd Phase. Certainly once you hit Phase 2, a Protection Warrior would be viable.
Any Warriors out there who managed this? If so, please provide details of the encounter.
Just soloed him as a balance/feral druid in Balance spec, with T7.5-T.85 gear, just remember don't use your treants else you'll find yourself instantly killed quite fast. I had tried a few attempts before but kept getting sacrified, not realizing it was because of my treants so I thought it was impossible. Thanks for the post here to clear that up.
Also, be fast on the healing yourself. He does enrage under 20% and a big swarm of adds is incoming at about the same time (and starfall on coodlown) I was just trying to survive spamming nourish at enrages with regrowth up pretty much all the time and to my delight my thorns killed the swarm before my haste proc on trinket even ran out. Maybe a better idea for most than bearing him with caster gear :)
I also killed Buru the gorger before I took Ayamiss. Can now proudly say that I can solo everything in AQ20, ZG and onyxia's lair.
Ret Paladin with Prot dual spec. I cleared all the rest of AQ20, all of it Ret geared/specced except did Kurinnaxx as Prot before going to try Buru or Ayamiss. Took Buru on my first try after accidentally pulling him (lolhitanegg).
Then I tried to figure out how to kill Ayamiss. Honestly, don't even bother as a Paladin. Exorcism on a 15 second CD is the only way you're going to even hit him because he flies so high.
Solo'd this fight and all the others as an 80 orc Enhancement shaman in 25/10man ToC gear.
for this fight, i put my ele shield and dagger on, dropped wrath of air, mana spring, and flame tongue totems, and would flame shock/lava burst/LB/LB (while healing if necessary) then run out til i was out of range and the debuff fell off. rinse/repeat til the boss was brought down to 60% at which point he comes down, throw on your melee weapons, pop wolves and burn em down.
you have to run a long ways to get out of range of the boss to stop him from hitting you with another stack.
I didn't know about resetting stacks, my team mates didn't know about killing bugs. I was disc, had a prot warrior and ret pala helping.
I popped shadowfiend and got sacrificed - by the time the bug with 46k hp had spawned Ayamiss had killed me. I got Ayamiss down to 240k hp before this point though, a few throws of a dagger or exorcism casts would have been sufficient for them to duo it I guess...
Ah well, live and learn. I'll be back in for my gavel of infinite wisdom.
Soloed as 80 ret pally took 10 mins of excorcism and running away/judge animals to keep mana and hp up with FoL then gg once he comes down.
keep sacred shield up all the time, no prob apart from it taking forever.
Nice way to lvl your Gun/Bow
i used nature ress and managed cooldowns when i was out field.
try to get the debuff off yust short on 40 stacks.
wait for CD and bandage up before entering room again
80 skill on pull, 220 on kill ( i used bullets or PELLETS no merchant would pay for )
it DOES take forever though, but i got a couple of laughs out of it ;D
Not a "solo'd as" post! Yay!
Soloing tip for ranged: If you can maintain about 5k+ dps on this fellow, you can easily down him before his adds spawn. As this should take around one minute
a few seconds, decide if you want to use your damage cds to shorten the air phase or burn the enrage.
Don't even bother soloing as a warrior. It's wholly possible, but will just take so long it's not worth bothering.
Tried to solo in feral. RESTO is better.
I just stayed in caster form except when the add packs came out, then I switched to bear and swiped, and used frenzied regen when it was available.
Keep regrowth up, and add rejuv in the air phase and in the ground phase once the boss enrages. Moonfire and wrath it to death.
Despite getting up above 35 stacks of the poison in the air phase, my heals easily kept up with it. I never had to run away.
Make sure you have auto self cast on so you can just keep the boss targeted the whole time.
Took about 12 minutes.
impossible as a warlock to solo, cant do it as destro because he hits way too hard
cant do it as demo because you cant have your pet out
and afflic is just bad in general.
Solod as a
as of 4.0.1. After solo'ing AQ20 for weeks, I figured I would give this guy a try. I never bothered because I knew it was a ranged fight until 70%. But sure enough, it was done with ease. Fight took around 4 minutes. 3 1/2 of it was throwing. I did this as Dmg Reduc Mut, but after thinking about it Sub would have been better for a SStep>Backstab>Recup every 20 sec.
-First stealth then Garrote and Mutilate one of the maggots crawling around to get a 3-4pt Recuperate rolling.
-Second start throwing your throw-able with DEADLY POISON on it. ( Trust me, I tried IP and it didn't do nearly as much. )
-Once you get 20 stacks of the debuff cloak.
- Mutilate one of the maggots again for a 3pt recuperate when you feel the need to heal up.
- Keep doing until he is down to 70% then its gg.
( Adds are a joke, just FoK and they will all die. )
As I'm sure it been stated above, He will not sacrifice when there is only one person inside the instance.
I've noticed a bug (no pun intended) with this boss as a shaman looking to solo him. As Enhance with the new talents and limited mana pool, it does take a fairly long time to take him to 70%, but each time i've tried to kill him on the ground, he chains me to the platform. This has happened every time i've tried to kill him solo, even without popping my wolves. It may be the totems and I'll edit when I find out, but for any shamans looking to solo this, watch out for this bug.
Basic strat for killing him is:
-Lightning bolt untill the debuff is at about 15 stacks
-Run to the doorway and drop a healing stream and a flametongue totem (for health regen and to kill adds)
-Rinse and repeat till 70% then nuke him down.
EDIT - Totems do cause you to be ported to the platform. Every time I would drop Magma Totem for adds, I would be immediately paralyzed and then one-shot. Do not use totems on this fight for adds.
As a hunter i failed horribly my first attempt, but only because i didn't know you actually died instantly if the larvae reached you. But this fight is so easy it's silly actually. The trick is to run up to the platform and dps from there having your pet tank Ayamiss right below around where the larvae spawn.
You will probably run into one sacrifice, perhaps two. Depends on your dps, anyway as soon as you get sacrificed you just get your pet on the larvae which got a ridiculous 3k health. (It wont get anywhere if your pet have charge). It will die in 1-2 seconds, probably wont reach the ramp at all and you may just leniently continue with killing the boss as soon as it's dead.
If you are a hunter looking to tame this pet as my boyfriend was this afternoon then I suggest as you go in to her room climb up the right wall so when she goes into the air your tame pet ability does not stop therefore you do not have to get her to any phases and do any of that work. To all future masters of this pet, good luck!
Just soloed as a Frost DK. My rotation was HB-HB-wait for Frost rune CD-HB-Wait for next Rune to cooldown-HB- When I got enough RP I death-coiled. Took all around 5-10 minutes from 100%-0.
so basically, no pets snd no totems.
as an 85 unholy dk, you can use outbreak once a minute to apply your diseases, and spam icy touch and deathcoil as they become ready. how long it takes to bring him down from there depends on how much mastery you have to increase youre disease dmg, but once he comes down, its easy peasy.
just wished i saw this thread a few days ago, woulda saved me a huge repair bill, but hey, when youre using guild funds for repair for
It All Adds Up
you still win
As a ranged class (shadow priest in this case), just nuke through phase 1. I only got 8 stacks of the debuff before phase 2 began and from there it is cake. Just stand there and cast. No need to run out or deal with adds.
Pretty anticlimactic fight, tbh.
Very easy (but a bit long) as an 85 Holy Paladin :D
What level do you need to tame this wasp? I'm assuming 63 but can anyone confirm it?
Warlocks, if you cast Bane of Doom on at any time, and it spawns a demon, you will get sacrificed and not be able to have the demon kill the larve. Bane of Agony is a much better choice when soloing this.
Just soloed him as a prot warrior...and I have to lol.
Hadn't read up on the fight before engaging...didn't remember from years ago that it was ranged, so I Heroic Throw every 30 sec, and just kept shooting my bow in between. Had to use cooldowns, since the stacks got up to 80 or so before she landed, but after that, no sweat.
For those that like this wasp's colors but hate the boss model it uses....Patch 4.1.0 will be adding a non-boss version to the revamped Zul Gurub
Also in 4.1.0: This wasp will no longer be freakishly huge when tamed
Tip: You can clear the dot stacks by going back to the bottom of the stairs, and waiting for them to wear off.
It's a good way to heal up and wait for your cooldowns if your doing this as melee.
As a Prot Warrior I felt the above post was a little vague with respect with what the fight was like. First off, you cannot kite him to any spot. You have to fight him right under him to even get a glimpse of him with Heroic Throw. And I wasn't going to leave the fight and have him reset just so I could heal up like one of the posters mentioned (but she didn't say what class or spec he was).
So just put on your tank gear (I'm at about 8900 using Gear Score addon) and stand under him and throw Heroic Throw (flip to Battle Stance for Shattering Throw at least once) on cooldown. In between, just Shoot. Every now and again (3 times I think?) you will have about 10-15 adds come fly down at you. They are blue wasps. Just Cleave, Thunderclap, and switch to Berserker and Whirlwind. Get them down in about 4 moves. Back to boss. Lather, rinse repeat.
Now when I had used all Cooldowns (Last Stand, Enraged Regen) once and Stoneform once, I had to even use another pot (a Runic Healing was all I had) and used Lifeblood, I was shocked that Ayamiss finally comes down for me to melee him. I was about at 10% health and he was at about 50-60%. I made it through the fight and killed him (and another wave of add spawn) to boot. I even threw on a bandage during the fight.
So it wasn't pretty but it can be done.
Quick and easy as a lvl 85 prot paladin. Avenger's Shield whenever it is up, and Exorcism when it isn't. Hit the trash when you are oom, so that you can pop Inquisition. Blessing of Wisdom and Divine Plea of course.
As a DK with the Blood Parasite talent, I got sacrificed shortly after she landed. After dropping the Blood Parasite, it is possible to solo her.
someone can tell me if
ayamiss the hunter is tameable...?
This isn't much off an achievement but I solo'd him as 85 druid, in Resto offspec. I wanted the achievement and decided to do it. I tried an hour before I gave up and checked wiki what to do >.<. NOTE TO SELF: Always read tacts BEFORE you try to solo something. Me and my obsession to kill every boss. Anyways, to any decent geared ranged/caster this will be easy job. It took me around 3-6 mins to get her down. though I admit I sneaked behind her in cat form and used Ravage to shorten the time she would be in the air. And as solo you don't have to worry about getting chained to the altar, it won't happen.
85 warriors can solo this VERY easy. First time I ever fought him on Arms I died I guess because his dmg outweighed my heroic throw and thrown weapon. Anyways, I went prot and it was simple. Heroic throw and shoot/throw ur weapon. When mobs rush in hit them with devastate until u get a couple victory rushs to heal. Finish them off with a single thunderclap. Repeat that until he lands and then just finish him off.
Took me 2 mins and 30secs as fury warrior (85) with the conquest thrown weapon (ilvl 378, 744 dps). I pulled the whole room and by mistake pulled the boss also. Lost 20k hps, so it's really easy.
Solo'd with a level 80 prot warrior.
Not worth it though. Took a very long time. Ground phase is a piece of cake. On air phase, you have to run outside his range and wait for his stacks to fall off and for enraged regen to reset. Keep a few trash adds by to beat on you and add low damage procs for blood craze.
The painful part is actually delivering the damage to the boss. Take him down to 233k for the ground phase to begin, but that involves dealing 100k damage using your stat stick rifle autoattack and intermittent heroic throws.
But better yet, skip the boss. Completely pointless, outdated loot, not related to any achievements, no lore, boring fight. Or even better still, go find a hunter to run AQ with you.
The only reason to try to solo him is just to say that it's possible, which I now can say that it is. I took screenshots, after all.
Tried soloing this as a Hunter. I didn't know about the whole chained thing and couldn't figure out how I was instantly dying. Finally figured that out so I went in without my pet and layed a snake trap which triggered the chained sacrifice thing /facepalm
You loot 24 Gold, 91 Silver, 73 Copper
As a sub rogue with Honor Among Thieves, I was able to spam 1 cp Deadly Throws on the boss.
Once she gets down, she dies fast.
Didn't read up on this fight but did happen to clear the room before giving it a go as 83 Fury Warrior. Needless to say, an interesting fight.
Things of note:
1. Spits poison that seems to stack at 25hp per tick. Saw it go as high as 80 stacks for 2K a second... it adds up fast. If you need to enrage regenerate, it can help once bloodthirst isn't able to keep up. I did notice past 65 or so stacks both times that he/she shot slower and slower, oftentimes letting the timer go between hits from 9 seconds down to 6 or 5.
2. Now I'm not sure if I tried shadowmeld or I just so happened to have run out of range behind the altar but I did see the stack reset itself once. Not quite sure what caused it.
3. Just kept alternating between Heroic Throw and Shattering Throw as they became available. Didn't get to live for enough time to win but was there for about 10 or so minutes and took the wasp down by about ~70K (died at the 250s). Didn't live long enough despite that damage to even have him/her land.
4. After a bit of time, a handful of blue wasps come (only a few hundred HP each). Easy to cleave and thunderclap them down then go back to the air target.
Only died because I had used my potion and regenerate hadn't finished CD yet. While I'd have the patience to stick around and only bring him/her down by ranged throwing, it does take some time and given watching when you heal, seems like it can be done.
Edit. Went back and grabbed a shiny gun from the AH to help with ranged. As a word of note, for those who haven't used guns before, go into your spellbook and look for the "Shoot" icon (a bullsyeye icon) and place that on the bottom bars or however you like. That way you can fire your weapon. Also, it seems that ammo has no longer been needed for awhile.
Went back to our wasp friend again and it took a few more attempts as again, the poison kept overwhelming me. Had to time my regens correctly (first time at about 40 stacks and second time as soon as I could use it) but didn't have to use a pot. Once the wasp got to ~220K, it landed for a traditional beat-down and had no problems from there.
Protection Paladin - 362
Holy Priest - 348
This is a somewhat of a gimmick fight. Stripped my priest to no durability items, so when the boss teleports her to the platform behind the boss, then summons a small bug to slowly walk to the platform - instantly killing her - no durability damage would be incurred. NOTE - clear the room of ALL red mobs prior to engaging the boss (also note the trash does a charge type ability on players at range so kept my priest close for instant healing spells and hand of protection). Healing is not necessary from the priest anyway. First 30% is a pain, so i just spammed avengers shield, judgement and exorcism as they are pretty much the only ranged damage dealing abilities my paladin has. Had to use blood elf racial, arcane torrent as well as divine plea for mana as exorcism in protection spec is costly. Once boss comes down to ground level, nuke til death.
not shown on wowhead but
HE IS tameable
85 ilvl359 druid tank. Aged about 5 years-cake.
As a feral druid with 24k mana, I would wrath down to 5k, then insect swarm. Always keep enough mana to kitty form to kill the adds that come.
If the debuff is getting too much, run back to the doorway and you can get rid of it by LOS.
Such a satisfying kill once he is on the ground, lol.
Took 7 minutes total - not too bad.
I would just like to say as a "Head up" for hunters, choose wisely before you kill or tame him. Unless your coming back next week.
-He makes an awesome pet for those SV and MM dps (He is a DPS pet, ferocity). He has a 2 second stun ability so I don't know if it will help in a dungeon, but It could prove useful as a pvp ability.
-He has a unique wasp skin I personally have never seen. Although there are other red wasps in the Underbog instance.
-He could drop a fairly cool purple bow, only purple bow I have ever seen actually, and some gold.
-If your not BM spec he could prove hard to solo with the one hit killing bug adds. But other then that he is an easy, no, very easy kill.
Hope this helps some hunters out there looking for pets and/or transmog bows.
Soloed as a survival hunter, never been in the instance before, never read up on the fight...so yes i had my pet out, had no problems at all, just used a normal rotation and she / he / it died before any of the abilities mentioned ( insta-death / sacrifice ) were used.
I find hilarious the fact that the only screen shot of this boss is of a hunter having tamed it as a pet (At the time of posting this comment).
dont use (gurthalak, voice of the deeps) . you wil be sacrificed then. :)
As of patch 5.0.4, gurthalak procs got fixed, while they now ruin your life vs kael'thas in p4, making you be mind controlled when 1 spawns, they no longer cause you to be paralysed and sacrificed on this fight, had 2 up tonight, they just made it faster.
Just got killed while trying to solo her with my 85 fury warrior using Gurthalak. She put me in the sacrifice altar while attacking my tentacle.
Solo'd as a level 90 Fury Warrior. Used
( Yes it can swim up in the air)
If you are soloing this as a 90 ranged, be careful not to kill Ayamiss so fast it's still up in the air. You won't be able to loot it! That said, if you are reading this because it's too late (oops), I was lucky enough for the Fetch glyph to work for my hunter. Mages and priests might be able to get enough height to loot if they get on a mammoth mount and slowfall/levitate from some nearby hit detection to it.
Note: Leaving the instance and returning doesn't work to reset Ayamiss to the ground :(
Update: Beikon's comment above is absolutely correct! Dragging a mob underneath Ayamiss and AOE looting works great ^_^
This guy was a real pain to kill. I finally got him on my 88 hunter using a Jormungar worm tank, misdirect, and camouflage until I was directly under him. He still aggroed before I was in position. Once he's at 30% health, he will be at ground level. Happy hunting!
It's quite simple for Rogues, even after MoP removed poisons on your throw weapons. Smoke Bomb makes it fly down to you, making him disregard staying out of range entirely.
Or you could spec Deadly Throw + Shuriken Toss, but since my Rogue was only 85, I still didn't have Shuriken Toss.
Was able to reset stacks on my warrior by running up the steps, which triggers the blue swarm. Kill those then throwing attacks. Rinse, repeat until she lands.
lvl 88 BM Hunter, Tamed and renamed "AyamissedMe"
If you kill Ayamiss while she's flying and her corpse is mid air and out of looting range then you can kite a trash mob and kill it right underneath her corpse and loot it. You should be able to reach Ayamiss' drops that way using AOE looting.
Lvl 82 prot warrior, uncommon gear from vashj'ir+mt hyjal quests, 1 or 2 rares from dungeons and Essence of Gossamer trinket.
Second wind keeps you alive at 100+ stacks of poison (even more with Commanding Shout), and dragon roar kills all the wasps in 1 hit, just spammed throw for about 2 mins and backed up when the DOT got to 104 stacks. Hold the Line makes all the non-boss mobs easy because hardly any of their attacks hit so you can just spam it through the whole instance :)
Feral druid solo method: If you have balance secondary, just use that XD Otherwise...
I just cast Moonfire, let it tick down for full damage, and reapplied. It took him down to 70% in probably around 40 seconds... Less I think. Then just slap your bleeds on him and he's down in even less than that :) Level 88 Feral druid.
Just killing him for nostalgia purposes since I decided to clear this after the temple. The mobs are laughable. Just swipe once or twice when they are all around you and they drop instantly. The debuff is negligible. I let it stack the whole time and it hardly affected my health at all. It was probably more than 60.
He's so colorful <3
Solo'd as a combat rogue today, took 2 seconds. 495 ilvl, so fairly high. Just stealthed ran up to him and Killing spreed. Recommending Shuriken Toss in case you can't finish him with a Killing Spree.
Tried it with my Combat spec level 90 Rogue. None of your suggestions worked. Smoke Bomb did nothing. Stealth got me there, but Killing Spree could not hold it from leaving right away and it stayed out of range for Throw to work. Tried killing all the ground targets, stayed through 5 waves of flying mobs and it still never came close enough to attack.
Tried again today, still no real luck. This time Throw worked, but was otherwise worthless. The Landshark is a one shot deal, so was a waste also.
If you happen to kill Ayamiss too fast and get her body hanging in midair, there is a way to loot her. Simply pull few of the silicate feeders (or any other mob from the instance) near her body, kill them and loot them. Thanks to aoe-looting, you also get the loot from Ayamiss.
the hunter becomes the hunted.when we do this raid. lol.
It appears that you have to be standing directly underneath to mele hit this one.
Run towards instead of away. it has a very long range.
Looks as though Poison Stinger caps at 255 stacks, ticking for 11,475 damage per second pre number crunch.
I really don't see a practical purpose for this, other than obliterating raids that are taking too long, and/or have poor aggro management.
Also, as of the current WoD Beta build, Ayamiss seems to drop to the ground if killed during phase one.
I just did this on a lvl 90 fury warrior. Just spam every ranged attack you have and he'll come down eventually.
My warrior is pretty low geared and the debuff actually started to hurt after a while. If you find yourself in the same situation (if you try this below 90 maybe? I just stood there checking out the boss on wowhead while he happily stacked his debuff on me...), just run out of range. The boss will neither reset nor follow you, so you can just wait until the debuff fades.
As an outlaw rogue, he is not in range of pistol shot, you have to stealth up and Ambush him.
My lvl 85 port warrior was ganked by this mob. I can't remember the ability it threw at me but I was at 99% health and bam. Down and out. I was running a friend (lvl 60) through for gear. Just wondering if anyone else has had this happen and can name the ability used.
with the stat squish i need like 5 normal hits to kill any lvl 60 boss, how I am supposed to do this boss on my warrior, with only Heroic Throw (30 freaking yard), with 6 secs cooldown, i dont even have range to use it a second time.
As a lvl 90 outlaw rogue, stealth up behind him, use marked for death followed by Dispatch. As he starts flying away hit him with a pistol shot. He will still fly up but then comeback down again as this should get him right near his 70% mark to fly down.
This was how I was able to solo him as a rogue.
This is not solo able with a level 92 monk.
SHE WILL CHAIN YOU TO THE ALTAR AND YOU WILL GET INSTA KILLED BY THE GRUB. EVEN IF YOU HAVE NO TEAM MEMBER. YOU CANNOT AVOID THIS.
Currently does not retain her name when tamed. I hope this is an oversight, because this would be one of the most awesome hunter pet names.
