Patrols running hence the name of Fleetfoot. It has 5.7M Health. It's Patrol is completely RANDOM! Both times I followed it, its path was different. However, it seems to still go through parts of the Den and Rustbolt.
Please note that when you pull, it DOES NOT STOP! You will either need to stun, slow, etc. or use Anti-Gravity Pack to keep up with it. I suggest making sure you have several people ready with you and/or plently of stuns.
This is another version of the OOX chicken robots from classic WoW where you had to get a random quest item in Tanaris, Hinterlands and Feralas and had to escort the robots to a safe place where they were able to liftoff and return to their creator. After completing all 3 quests, you got a robot pet from Oglethorpe Obnoticus in Booty Bay.
The names of the NPCs were
The current ones suffix is "MG" - definitely for "Mechagon". So the question is:
Is there any pet reward for killing this (as it is attackable)?
--- Spawns the Rare
when killed ---
This chicken only spawns while
is in town (Rustbolt)
It will run around the island seemingly at random and its route changes constantly. I'm not sure whether there is a pattern or not
After observing around 3-4 laps around the island, I noticed that it passed through Rustbolt quite often
For me, it eventually despawned after moving to the east side of the island, close to the waterfall
I don't know how long it takes for it to respawn
It doesn't retaliate at all, so you can keep swinging at it until it dies (or despawns). Take note however, that it doesn't stop running even if you attack it, so you will have to keep chasing it as you attack. Keeping a slow on it makes the speed more manageable (can also stun it)
Once Fleetfoot dies, everyone on the island will be able to hear a /yell from
. This means that it has spawned on the island and you will be able to kill it. It spawns close to the
(coordinates 57 39 or 54 41)
You can use
Lightning Zap 5000
for fast damage, it does around 200k damage to the chicken.
Can be tracked with NPCScan
How to sumon
1. check if
is in mechagon /way 72,8, 37,8
2. find and kill
(I recommend you create a group). It will run around the island seemingly at random and its route changes constantly. I'm not sure whether there is a pattern or not. If you dont fly use
to find easy.
3. go to /way 57,77, 39,89
For hunters, it is immune to freezing trap but your dps pet's intimidation ability works, as does tar trap to help slow the little guy down.
, or three, and you can keep up with him and attack at the same time (assuming you don't need to stand still to attack!).
I couldn't get any interest together to kill the little bugger but I had a LOT of fun trying to take it out as a prot pali.
Only got him to 40% by myself before he despawned.
Did a target macro and got it over 100 yrds away
has about 5 mill hp
me and a hunter got him around 1 mill before other ppl joined in
killed him in about 4 min.
simple target macro
didnt get the pattern
EDIT: hit the macro again just to see how long respawn was and there it was. about 30 min later.
ATTACK ON SIGHT, bein the nice guy i am, started a raid group to kill him again so other ppl could loot rare. waited to attack until had a full party. follow him around for about 3 min, no one was attackin it and it despawned.
Ret Paladin, saw it run through town.
could not take it down, stunned it, slowed it, popped my wings ect... it was only at maybe 97% before it ran off of top speed and left me in the dust unable to mount(in combat).
Not sure if the health stays and you can track it down, because I lost track of it
So I was able to find fleetfoot in a group for fleetfoot in finder, on my realm I wasn't, it could be I wasn't targetting well enough, but anyone knows how long it takes him to spawn again after you kill him? Could it be several hours? As I've been looking for a while and saw nothing on my realm.
You'll have to use your eyes to spot this annoyance of a mob.
He does not appear as a star on your minimap so be wary of that
I was surprised that no one else mentioned this, but
useful for getting this guy to stop (for six seconds), especially if you can alternate them with another person(s).
I'm play a class that doesn't really have any good slows (druid), so the grenades are basically the only way I can kill it before it despawns.
Hunters! This chicken is now tameable!
The Beast Cleave graphic is massive with this pet as of Feb.12th, so if that's the sort of thing that bothers you, you might want to look for a different pet.
I have made some macros to message people in general to help with this task.
1. Make a custom games group with keywords like: fleetfoot avenger chicken
Make them buttons on your hotbar. Press both at the same to recruit people.
/1 repair dismantled chickens ( /tar dismant ) to get them to return to Oglethope. When enough do, the Fleetfoot chicken spawns & runs around for 5 mins (6 mil HP) ( /tar OOX-fl ). When it dies, chicken avenger spawns@ 55, 38 (7% chance to drop blueprint)
/1 join my fleetfoot avenger chicken group if you want to hunt for fleetfoot (press i, select premade groups, select custom, search for fleetfoot)
I found the best class/spec to chase him is Arcane mage, with the level 75 talent Chrono Shift active. Just keep hitting him with Arcane Barrage, and he'll slow and you'll speed up. When you are next to him, Arcane Explosion until he speeds up again (with Arcane Missiles when clearcasting). Make sure you have chosen the Slipstream talent as well so you can move while you channel Arcane Missiles.
You will stay up with him the entire time!
Blizz, please make this guy untameable until shadowlands.
Spent over 1000 parts trying to get one to spawn only for it to despawn 10 seconds before we kill it. What a trash game.
My 6 year old son just tamed this pet and I have tips! Use Concussion Shot to slow it down, then toss a scarp grenade to stun it. We had plenty of time to do the tame before the effects wore off.
Just hunted for this little guy for over half an hour via the /tar OOX-Fleetfoot/MG macro with no success only to then find it just standing around doing nothing at roughly 59,47. Attacked it and it didn't start to run away, it instead just stood there and then despawned after I had lowered its HP to roughly 70%. Has this ever happened to anyone else?
This little guy spawns when you repair enough
yells: "I demand to know what intellectual deviant is behind these cowardly poultry attacks!"
When he dies
The quest you must have available:
The loot you hope drops in the end:
If it doesn't, at least you get credit towards
After screwing around with this thing all day, 700+ spare parts, I finally tamed this beast! Also, now I am the proud owner of about a dozen of the pets.
Hunter here, I just tamed him! The first time he spawned he was being hunted by a large group. Second time, I was able to tame him. No slows or roots.
I went to
/way 57,77, 39,89
Once targeted. Went to
/way 68, 53 -ish.
Chicken bot ran into Rustbolt and I waited at that location with tame beast being spammed until it came back toward me. It ran by as tame beast was casting and looked like it was going to be out of range before it ended but it worked!
