Razorgore's location is a room filled with 30 large dragon eggs, much like the ones found in UBRS (Leroooooy!, that's right), just that these ones can be destroyed only with Razorgore's help, and in the following you'll see how.
The fight starts by aggroing the controllers on the west platform, killing them and triggering the spawn of adds (they appear in about 40 seconds after that). Kill Grethok and his adds and remember that and this
stage one it's all about managing the number of the adds and destroying the eggs, as quickly as possible, as there is a risk that the numbers of the mobs should raise to an incontrolable situation.

On the west end of the room there is an Orb, used to mind control Razorgore through stage 1 of the fight; the ideal situation consists of 2 controllers (paladins -bubble and control- for an alliance raid or anything else suitable, but keep in mind that the controllers must survive during this phase, as the use of Razorogore's abilities is crucial for the success of this stage) taking turns in mind controlling Razorgore.
The mind controlling process can begin even before the kill of Grethok and should be targeted on destroying the eggs (95% of the time), the only case in which you won't use this ability is when it is on cooldown. Then you might want to use the "sleep dragonkin" ability, as the fireball volley usually draws too much aggro on Razorgore, which, as you might guess, must stay alive during phase 1.
The adds that i've been mentioning so far are of 3 types: melee (legionnaires), dragonkin and mages. As you prolly expect, the melee ones (first 2 types) are hard hitting, heavy armoured etc. kind of mobs, while
the mages are more fragile but more dangerous too due to their AOE attacks. The easier way is to keep the adds population mainly consisting of melee and the dps group in your raid should nuke the mages asap; of
course, it's not a piece of cake to tank the melee damagers, but it's preferable to being batch killed by the mages. Healers, heal, tankers, tank and dps-ers, do the dps! It's that simple, isn't it? Now, balance is
everything. There's no need to keep the orcs alive with any cost, of course you must decimate them to keep a controllable population, but only if the mages are being taken care of, as killing them is the highest
priority for you. Tip: mind control the orcs and use them to kill the dragonkins, as they have 400% damage bonus against them. If the dragonkin number is too big, use the druids to sleep a part of them, anytime
required (and it is required most of the stage, in fact). Any other classes that can croud control should do so (sleep, sheep, fear, scream), in an organized fashion and if possible by taking turns, in order to keep a
even threat. During stage 1 also try to kite as much as possible, a horde raid could use the shamans' earth binding totems, everybody can use the hunters' traps etc.
By the end, the chaos is spreading and the numbers of the adds raises insanely, but do not panic, as all of them will go away when the last egg is destroyed. In order to make it to this final moment of stage
1,when there's only 3-4 eggs left, use all your CC abilities and chain fear everything, don't focus on killing, but escaping them.
Phase 2: time to kill Razorgore itself.
Razorgore has, beside his melee attack, a hurting fireball volley and a conflagrate attack that gets you out of your control, burning you and the people around you. This is the reason for dps-ing him mainly ranged
and using more than one tank. The MT is facing Razorgore, the backup tanks are behind him. When the unfortunate conflag event happens, the MT also loses aggro, so a backup tank should take his palce immediately, while the burning ex-MT steps back in order to protect the others of catching fire.
As you might have noticed, there's a lot of fire involved, so it's not a bad idea to bring along some fire resistance equipment, but bear in mind that you'll not leave the "in combat" state between the 2 stages of
the fight, so no gear switching is possible.
Try to take advantage of the large size of the room. In the unfortunate case a healer should die, have a druid rez him in-combat, but as far away as possible from the action. The ressurected healer will be out of
combat and will be able to bring back some of the other fallen comrades.
However, it's best not to come to this, as the unpredicted can interfere and mess the things up.

Razorgore
Setup
We split the raid into 4 teams. Each team occupies one corner. Usually
team A is groups 1 and 2 who go west
team B is groups 3 and 4 who go north
team C is groups 5 and 6 who go east
team D is groups 7 and 8 who go south
Each team gets
1 Hunter
1-2 Warriors
2 Priests/Druids
1 Paladin
1 Warlock
1-2 Rogues
1-2 Mages
A spokesperson for each team on TS announces spawns in the corners.
PHASE I (EGGS)
DPS
A mage or rogue in each team is appointed Main Assist, Mages, Hunters and Rogues in the team will help kill his target. His target are all Orc Mages in the corner. They have to die ASAP until eventually only Legionaires and Dragonkin remain)
Warriors
The warrior(s) in each corner sunder (build aggro on) each dragonkin and legionaire in their corner and kite it between the two platforms (running up the stairs and jumping down in the middle front exploits the no-jump pathing of the mos and gets distance between warrior and his heat. Piercing Howl helps too. Eventually all 55 mobs will be following the warriors and if all goes fine, they wont even take damage.
Healers
The healers in each team keep their warriors always shielded and HoT'ed. Optimal position for them to be is the front corner of the platform on their side. From there they always have a LoS to all team members and especially the warriors roaming their corner currently (usually its 2 tanks you have to keep track of, yours and the one of the team accross the room who follows the same path as your warrior). Also if they get hit, they can easily get some distance by jumping down the edge and running. Priest should use the CTRA aggro-gain announcer to be able to cast fade before the mob hits them.
Paladins
Paladins are the orb controllers. They place themselves below the orb right from the start and destroy eggs as fast as possible. They should not take damage during the egg phase at all. Once all eggs are down, the primary orb user will have a lot of aggro from Razorgore and he will come straight after him. We use that to position razor immediately in a good spot and to bring him to the MT tag-team.
PHASE II
The MT tag team builds aggro on razorgore. Every now and them Razor casts a frontal AoE conflag that temporarily wipes all aggro on the current tank, swithing it to the offtank. Position of the 2 tanks is 90

BWL: Razorgore Strategy
:
1. The Pull
2. Kiting &Corner Control
3. Chaos & Razorgore
:
- Each Corner is assigned 2 well-balanced Groups:
- Corner A, Groups 1 & 2
- Corner B, Groups 3 & 4
- Corner C, Groups 5 & 6
- Corner D, Groups 7 & 8
- Odd Groups, High-Aggro Kiters & DPS (Outer Square)
- Even Groups, Low-Aggro Squishies (Inner Square)
1. :
- Entire Raid carefully stacks and buffs up at the Center of the Room.
- Raid pulls the Controller and Guards to the Center.
- OrbController goes in and takes control of Razorgore.
- Raid Focus Fires on Controller, then the 2x Guards.
- Immediately after 2nd Guard drops, Raid breaks to their assigned corners.
2. :
- While Razorgore is destroying the eggs, numerous spawns will appear:<BR>- Blackwing Mages: Kill On Sight.
- Blackwing Legionnaires: Kited by 2x Main Tanks.
- Blackwing Dragonkin: CC'ed by Hunters, Warlocks, and Druids.
- Spawns will continue at 1-2 per corner every 15 secs.
:
Blackwing Legionnaire Kiting:
- 2x MT Warriors, Spam Demoralizing Shout. Figure 8's.
Blackwing Mage DPS:
- Mages, NO AOE. Focus Fire. Crowd Control.
- Rogues, Assigned as MTs of Each Corner.
- Warriors (spares), Focus Fire.
Blackwing Dragonkin CC:
- Hunters, Hunter's Mark & Kite one Dragonkin using Scatter Shot.
-Warlocks, single target fear an unmarked (Hunter's Mark) Dragonkin.
- Druids, hibernate loose (unmarked & unfeared) Dragonkin.
Raid Support:
- Priests, shield & renew players. Fade defensively.
- Shaman, drop Totems. Heal. Kite loose Blackwing Legionnaires.
3. :
- When 4-5 Eggs remain, Orb Controller will use "Fireball Volley."
- Every mob within the instance (40) will immediately aggro Razorgore.
- Fear Rotation to prevent damage on Razorgore. Focus Heals on Razorgore.
- Stun, Frost Nova, Scatter, Frost Trap -- KEEP THEM OFF RAZORGORE!
- Spawns will disappear and Razorgore will heal himself to full.
- OrbController moves towards Corner A and Vanishes.
:
1. Melee Attack & Cleave.
2. Warstomp AOE, Knocks of all melee Aggro.
3. Conflagration frontal cone AOE, unremovable DoT with confusion.
4. Fireball Volley (every 20 secs), LoS 1k dmg fireball. Max range / hide!
:
- MT & OT must be engaged at all times, facing Razorgore to Corner A.
- MT = Front, OT = Back.
- When MT is conflag'ed, OT takes and faces Razorgore back towards corner.
- Similar to Onyxia Phase 1, allow Tanks to build sufficient aggro before DPS.
- While Tanks build aggro, Soulstone & Combat Rez players.
- CONTROLLED RANGED DPS, to kill Razorgore. Very similar to Onyxia

Sometimes it may also be necessary for healers to downrank their spells, in order to avoid the aggro that comes with constant healing. Mileage may vary. Anyone who isn't kiting should have some bandages handy.

This is a tough fight, especially for guilds coming right out of Molten Core/ Ruins of AQ (20- man). He has been known to cause many a guild to break up, mostly because people coming from MC are used to generic tank n' spank fights (Golemagg, Gehennas, Ragnaros, etc.) with very few twists or deviations in strategy. This fight is very involved, and everyone is forced to coordinate their actions whether they are kiting, mind- controlling, or even just zerging the mages that spawn.

Known issue in TBC, unsure if it has been fixed:
Even after all eggs have been destroyed and Razorgore himself has been killed, the adds will not stop despawning. They will continue to respawn and fill the room into phase three, making it impossible to end the encounter except by wiping. Even so, it is possible to do so, and loot Razorgore and proceed in the instance.

Razorgore is impossible to solo as once you kill him in phase 1 you are instantly killed by an AoE.
Requires a minimum of 2 people

Tips for doing BWL with few very people:
Razorgore - Have the tank grab all the adds and tank in the middle of the room. Have the healer stand on top of the tank and pull healing aggro to get the mobs to the tank. Have a dps kill the blackwing mages ONLY (if you only have 3 people, ignore this role). You could probably 2-man this with a Blood DK tanking the mobs and one player on the orb.

Allow me to give you a tip, if you're running with a small group of 80s.
DO NOT START UNTIL EVERY DPS IN THE GROUP KNOWS HOW TO CONTROL THE BOSS.
I was the controller and got most of the eggs down, but my toon was damaged so I lost the control and still had the debuff. I told our hunter to use the orb, and he did, but he didn't smash the remaining eggs and just stood there. So the mobs killed him and we all died.
Chances are, you will have to switch off control at least once. Make sure every dpser knows what to do.
Also, when your channeling bar is about to die, bring the boss as far away from the orb platform as you can so you won't get attacked by him. Especially if you're a clothie.

Prot paladin and ret paladin.
Ret pally controls Razorgore.
Prot pally just kept laying down consecrates on the stairs for incoming aggro while picking everything else up with ranged and melee attacks, using every free moment to run over and grab everything off the boss and come right back.
Good luck.

Succesfully 2-manned last night by a blood DK (tank) and holy paladin (controller).
We got the bug were he would do his doomsday AoE after the first MC twice it would come with a message stating that the Instance was already in progress prompting to Portal to the Graveyard or Joining the instance.
Seems to be random if it happens though since our fourth try went without a care.

We tried this today and discovered part of the problem is that Razorgore must be in combat with someone when the MC breaks, or it'll trigger his AoE instakill. Trouble was, the adds weren't spawning fast enough.
What we did then was when the MC was about to break, a Death Knight threw a Death and Decay at Razorgore's feet so he'd trigger combat while Razorgore was uncontrolled, until MC could be established again. My Priest was also able to hit him with an instacast to trigger combat before he could AoE.

We had the same Kaboom bug, combined the two ideas above and it worked perfectly - a second person by the controller spamming the orb, aoe on Razorgore at control end, and we also tryed not killing every single npc as he spawned :P - Worked like a charm

Noticed another bug. After we killed him the adds still kept running into the room. The raid leader said it was because lots of us were not attuned to BWL and we had to leave the instance and get summoned back. I guess this is because, like us, you can be summoned straight into the instance by a lock and you couldn't back in the day. Just wondered if anyone else has seen this "bug"?

2 Maned this today with a 80 Rogue whom controlled the dragon, and a 80 Feral Tank who collected adds off of dragon.
Strat.
Druid goes in and get first 3 adds. Then Rogue does not run up to Orb, but runs under it and clicks to control. While rogue is destroying the eggs the druid is collecting adds and running up to each platform then jumping down so the adds have to go around and the druid has time to Hot and heal everything that needs it. Once all eggs are down its gg.

Important to note is that classes that have active pets out will be unable to use the Orb of Domination until they have dismissed their pet.
Went in there with a Hunter, Paladin and myself (Death Knight) and both the Hunter and myself couldn't control the Orb, while the Paladin could. We had no clue what was up and decided to do it some other time as we thought the encounter was bugged. I finally found out the reason by a post on the Orb of Domination page that stated the pet issue, and since that's not a page people will drop by first I figured I'd post it here too for people having the same issue.

I've been toying with ideas on how to solo this as a feral druid tank.
I did find something interesting. I would run in and do MC on him from below the platform where Grethok is. Grethok and his guards would attack me (the bear) leaving me to freely crush a few eggs with Razorgore. After the MC ended I used Frenzied Regen to get back to full health, ran to the top of the platform, waited for the mobs to get to me and hopped back to the ground and MC'd again. At this point there were a LOT of extra mobs spawning but virtually all of them were going for me and not Razorgore. I was able to get in almost an entire second MC phase before I was killed. At this point all the mobs despawned except for Grethok and Razorgore. They continued to fight each other.
I wonder if I had a soulstone on if I were to pop up at that point and do start MCing again with Grethok chasing Razorgore around to keep him in combat between MCs, would the extra mobs start spawning again or would I be free to go about soloing the fight?
Has anybody tried this before?
Edit for spelling

I just two manned this last night with a feral tank (me) and a warlock. This fight requires a minimum of two people to defeat: one to kite the adds, one to control Razorgore.
I was our designated kiter. We tried several times with my prot pally (because, hey, pallies are unkillable right?), and had a ton of problems since I could not pick up all the adds. With the change to consecrate, you can no longer drop it continuously to help you maintain aggro. This resulted in a lot of hits on my partner, who would then get the debuff and be unable to MC Razorgore. Many wipes happened.
On my druid tank, this became no problem at all due to healing aggro. Imp. LOTP is crucial here - I faced the adds tanking backwards when able, using every GCD to trigger the heals from LOTP. For my kiting path, I used the good old figure-8, waiting til the adds all gathered on the platform and then jumped off. This gave me time to shift out and pop a rejuv and regrowth on myself, get back to bear form, and kite again.
Healing aggro was always a problem for druids in this encounter - I remember having to downrank as a resto druid in vanilla WoW and STILL getting threat on random mobs. Well, now it's working to keep all the adds trailing after me. It's amazing how fast they would all zone in on me, almost completely ignoring my partner. He took a few hits, but I could easily run up, swipe, and get the adds off of him.
You could probably do something to maintain healing aggro with a pally, but honestly it was so much easier with my druid.
After Razorgore, I swapped back to my prot pally and we easily downed the rest of BWL.
ETA: looks like they may have fixed the pet problem with the Orb of Domination. My warlock partner had his felguard out on aggressive to help keep the adds off of himself, and had no issues with the orb other than when he had the debuff.

Currently Razorgore is despawning after the first mind control fades (at least on Windrunner US). The fight will not reset even through dying until you reset the instance through the portrait menu. This is with 2 people doing the fight.

quote from blue:
You're absolutely right; a problem was introduced in 4.0.3 where any interruption in the controlling will cause the event to get stuck exactly as you described. Luckily our developers caught onto it pretty quick, and it should hopefully be resolved next time the realm(s) restart. That will either happen as necessary during the cause of the week, or at the very latest, next week during maintenance.
My apologies for any trouble this caused you and your friends. :)

At level 85, Razorgore can be duo'd with any class + a resto druid. I just did it tonight with a death knight.
The second class works on the mind controlling. Using the mind control orb will allow you to control him for up to 90 seconds. If you get hit once by mobs, the channel lasts 67.5 seconds. If you get hit twice, it lasts 45 seconds. Since the debuff lasts 60 seconds, you can have a 100% uptime with the mind control as long as you only get hit once or not at all.
The resto druid simply stacks Lifebloom on himself and runs back and forth around the room. With Lifebloom rolling, all adds will instantly aggro you from the healing and ignore Razorgore and your partner (ensuring 100% MC uptime). Simply run up the stairs on one side of the room, wait for the melee dragons to almost reach you, jump off, run to the other side of the room, run up the stairs, wait, jump, repeat. The mobs run slightly faster than you, so jumping off the platform gives you some breathing time where you're not being attacked while they do a bit of backtracking down the sides of the platforms. The caster mobs will just fireball you from wherever in the room they are. They're lousy shots, though.
I would imagine Shamans can also do this easily with Riptide and Ancentral Swiftness/Earthbind (keeping completely ahead of all melee damage) and
maybe
Priests with PW:S and Renew.
Also, it would seem the add bug as been fixed. After breaking all the adds, all mobs fled the room, leaving only Razorgore to be DPS'd down. Piece of cake. I popped Tree of Life, proc'd Nature's Grace, and enjoyed my 1 sec cast Wrath spam. ;)
Keep in mind I had the minor run speed increase at the time. I'm not sure if it's necessary though. I never really dropped below 95% mana with a rolling Lifebloom stack and an occasional Rejuv. I was only ever hit hard when the clump of melee adds caught up to me and all 50 of them smacked me all at once, which dropped me to about 75% health. I Swiftmended just to be safe.
I felt accomplished with the strategy, considering we had just wiped on 5 attempts to DPS the adds and desperately try to stay alive and not have Razorgore die prematurely. =P
We were both in iLvl 329 gear.

Seems bugged after 4.0.6.
Tried 3-4 times with a raid today, and he will randomly wipe everyone like he normally will do when you kill him before the eggs are gone.
Edit: I did make a ticket about this after the first raid, and got a response within 10 minutes. The GM cleared all eggs but one for us, and we just had to clear that one to get to P2

It's comforting to know I wasn't the only person wiping on this guy... Gave it about 6 attempts before calling it off. Most times we would try right clicking the orb, a blue beam would appear, but no mindcontrol would happen.. boom. There was also one time that he was standing on the other platform across the room from us when mind control broke, he instantly teleported next to us and... boom.
So yeah, completely frustrating to say the least. Hoping for a fix sometime soon, my level 60 warrior would like some gear... but why fix old content? >.>

Possible Solution #2!
When Razorgore has the mindcontrol fall off him, sometimes it causes him to drop out of combat as well, if you try and mind control before putting him back into combat it instant wipes the raid.
The Test? : hit him once. THEN mindcontrol
Please post if this had success with you all as well.

My friends and I (a feral druid, an elemental shaman and a blood death knight) decided to troll Blackwing Lair just for kicks, and we were having a problem with this guy evading sometimes as he rushed over to the orb to kill the controller. Naturally, this is a problem when your tank can't taunt him back over and when using the orb again doesn't do anything at all to solve the issue of an instant wipe on wheels careening towards you at high speeds.
Razorgore appears to bug and evade when the controller doesn't have Mind Exhaustion, the debuff that keeps them from using the orb again until it runs out, when he breaks free. Again, this hasn't been confirmed anywhere, and I haven't seen anyone else mention it, but I am almost certain that the lack of the debuff is what causes him to evade. Or at least maintaining the debuff is a workaround to whatever the real issue is. If he does go out of combat like others say he sometimes does (which causes him to evade) then somehow keeping the Mind Exhaustion debuff keeps him in combat when you lose control over him.
So, cut off possession of Razorgore a few seconds before the debuff runs out. Using /dance was a simple way to lose control (plus, bear dancing makes everything better). Our tank was able to easily pick him up after I danced and kept the debuff, and we didn't have the evading problem for the whole fight. The entire thing is a cakewalk without the evade bug.
As a side note, you have control over him for 90 seconds by default; if he doesn't get hit by anything, you definitely have to cut off control early, since the Mind Exhaustion debuff only lasts 60 seconds.
EDIT: Just this past Saturday (nearly a month after I initially wrote this comment) I ran Blackwing Lair with a new group and we could still /dance our way through Razorgore without any problems at all. We didn't try anything else (such as changing the placement of the orb controller, putting a dot on Razorgore, etc) and we were fine.
Edited for great justice and wording problems.

In order to avoid the "evade" bug you must kill most of the mobs or he will bug.
A new bug my weekly BWL group ran into last night was that no one was able to click on the orb at all, 3 wipes later we gave up.

Me and my warrior friend duo'd this place so I could tame Chromaggus. Man, this boss was a real pain in the rear. During the numerous wipes, I noticed that while controlling Razorgore, combat seems to randomly drop and return a second or two later. It also seemed to follow a pattern of every 20 seconds. I'm not sure if this was because of my warrior partner gathering everyone and never letting them hit me or what, but once I noticed the combat thing, I made sure the channel never broke while out of combat, and we downed it that very try. I can't guarantee that this will work for everyone, but just to be prudent, watch your combat state and make sure you are still in combat when you break the MC channel, and make sure the one not controlling the orb grabs aggro.

As of 4.0.6 encounter is bugged again. Read through all the above comments, adjusted accordingly, boss still wipes everyone after a MC break.
Even with sufficient threat built-up ahead of time, AoE being spammed on his location when he breaks, and someone else spam-clicking the orb as MC breaks - still nothing.
EDIT: Yes, we kept mobs up, too, to try and force everything into combat, no go.

Break the mind control a couple of seconds before the debuff falls off. /dance works. He'll then aggro onto someone, instead of bugging out and resetting....and exploding.
All hail Lenarth, for the glory of the ingots!

Killed this boss last night; was able to diagnose and solve the evade/explode bug. The root cause is the level of people doing this raid; used to be, there would be 40 level 60's splattered all over the room, so Razorgore would aggro onto something when the Mind Control ends. However, with 80s and 85s all grouped together, diminished aggro radii mean he has nothing to grab onto to keep him into combat, resulting in his standard leaving-combat mechanic. This makes since as this bug first began cropping up around 3.0.
The solution we found was to have a lvl 80 boomkin Druid follow Razorgore around. As soon as the MC ended, they would start spamming Moonfire at the boss. He evades for a few seconds, but then they will start hitting, pulling Razorgore back into combat and allowing you to successfully Mind Control him again. I would assume that any fast, low-damage spammable spell would work the same way- as long as he is put back in combat before reaching the MC orb.
Using this method, we were able to complete 5 full mind control cycles, destroy all the eggs, and finish the boss.
As an added bonus, all adds despawned properly before the final phase.

You
-HAVE-
to break the mindcontrol when you have the debuff on you. Or else he will bug, and everyone will die.
Personally, i break it when i have 5 seconds of the debuff left, then i retake him.
Edit
I haven't tried the tactic in the comment below, next wednesday i will attempt to and see the results.
But the tactics i used worked perfectly, and im not saying its better or not, you decide which you think suits you best.
Edit2
Just tried my method again (On a horde character), i slipped up and let the debuff run out whilst Mind controlling, afterwards the boss ran over to the orb, ignored us all and blew the orb up.
After that, i tried again and canceled it when the 'Mind exaustion' debuff was still up and at 5 seconds. No problems.

Like the majority of others, I was also experiencing the bug where Razorgore is unable to be mind-controlled, reaches the orb and explodes. My group (consisted of a Prot Pally, Demo Lock, and feral kitty) tried EVERYTHING for two weeks. We attempted to get around the bug by engaging Razorgore himself by AoEing right after he finished channeling his MC, right before his MC ended, we tried the /dance macro to get him to end the MC early, using Razorgore's sleep ability on the dragonkin to attempt to keep him in combat, and none of it worked.
SAVE YOURSELVES THE REPAIR -- after much testing,
we have finally figured out a successful way to get this $%^&*!@ down
. The person who will be mind-controlling Razorgore should be
BELOW THE PLATFORM
, in front of the MC orb. Whoever is picking up adds to refrain them from reaching and attacking the orb can stay at the top of the platform near the orb. (See screenshot provided below.) When the MC drops and all eggs are dead, Razorgore was on the platform and did not blow us up. Piece of cake, had no problems.
I hope this saves you guys some GM tickets, repairs, and irritation. Good luck!
EDIT: We have also found that pets make Razorgore leave combat and explode. If you are attempting the above method, dismiss all pets before initiating the boss. This should ultimately cure the bug with the method I have provided.

We've never had this issue since Cata launch up until now, but we're having this issue, tried every idea listed in the thread, none of them worked. Put them all together, didn't work.
Breaked Mc Early via /dance.
Had myself (non-Mindcontroller) with AoE down and attempting to attack Razorgore at the end of an MC.
Mindcontroller was located at the button of the stairs.
Attacked Razorgore as a form of pulling to ensure he had a player on his threat table.
and so on, anyone else been unable to do it, despite using all these suggested (and apparently functional) fixes?

Excellent news, everyone!
Razorgore has finally been hotfixed!
And I quote:
Blackwing Lair
Razorgore does not evade when attacked immediately after being released from the orb. He should also no longer reset when the orb controller is interrupted.
Rejoice and no longer cower in fear of a potential wipe on a level 60 raid boss.

I recently tried this with a total of 3 players, we were a resto shaman, moonkin druid and a protection paladin. Two of us raided BWL back in vanilla, so we tried the kite tactic that we were familiar with, this didn't really work, we also had problems with re-using the orb after the time expired, it would be interrupted right after the click, resulting in a wipe.
After a few unsuccesfull attempts we came up with a foolproof solution.
We used the following tactic:
Kill
Grethok the Controller
and his buddies.
After this, our paladin and druid positioned themselves under the orb, the resto shaman positioned himself in the middle of the room.
The paladin and druid control
Razorgore the Untamed
and started on the eggs, alternating turns after the rotation expires. They should stay out of combat.
Meanwhile, the resto shaman keeps healing
Razorgore the Untamed
(to get the adds off him) and himself while adds spawn, when they stop spawning he focuses healing on himself.
Now it's just about outlasting the damage while the eggs are taken down, after that the adds flee and you can engage
Razorgore the Untamed
.
When you've succesfully downed
Razorgore the Untamed
you'll find that the rest of
Blackwing Lair
is quite pushover and can be done with a tank 'n spank approach. It's still fun to do while reminiscing the old days of WoW Classic :)

. The hunter in our group had tamed Chromaggus the week before, which got a lot of attention once we were back in Stormwind! With 2-3 lvl 85s this is a pretty quick way to grab some old school loot and a good amount of gold.
There's a little guide to Razorgore at the start too.

Just duo'ed this and being an AOE tank, it was VERY easy once I figured out the trick. Have your 2nd person stand in front of the platform and use the orb to control the boss while you kill the controller and his entourage. Have them break eggs near the orb at first. When adds start to spawn, pick them up and bring them to the center of the room. AOE.
It really is that simple. As long as you're actively adding aggro to mobs, new adds that spawn will quickly forget that they came for the boss and/or the mind controller and instead go to you. I was happy to see this work because it's HIGHLY repeatable and I won't have to waste my guildies' armor anymore.

You need to have either engineering, or you need to be a goblin. Like me, so I can confirm it works.
Im not actually sure about the mechanics that spawn the adds. Sometimes I had the adds coming before my 2min cd on rocket jump was over. Other time I had to wait like 6mins for the second wave to spawn.

Couldn't solo it (although maybe I could if I try harder, I do have engineering), but bringing one of my 60 alts on another account makes it quite easy. Pull and kill the controller, position your alt under the orb and control the boss. First couple times I had problems with my alt dying somehow (combat log only showed two 700 hits, not quite enough vs 6k health), perhaps it had something to do with controller getting his MC off. Then just run after the boss pulling adds off of him (divine storm was a great help here, since it healed my alt and aggroed the mobs from across the room) and tabbed every 10 seconds to burn another egg.
For some reason, after all eggs were gone and I killed the boss, adds started spawning again and never stopped, only fixed by running out of the instance and waiting for ~15 minutes.

How I dual box through BWL with my warrior and priest. (ilvls ~353)
Razorgore the Untamed:
The key here is to not waste time with Razorgores "destroy eggs" ability, it has a seven second cooldown so use it as soon as it comes off cooldown. Have the warrior pick up the adds from the orb platform and the priest immediately MC Razorgore and destroy the first egg, then kill the adds and warrior moves to the middle of the room. So long as the warrior is around the middle area (the big square between the two platforms) the adds will ignore the player on the orb and attack the warrior in the middle.
Clear out the eggs on Razors platform first, you want to keep him in the middle of the room with the warrior so the adds can be picked up more easily.
This is multitask heavy: Kill egg, move razor to next egg while "destroy egg" is on cooldown, tab to warrior, pickup/kill adds, tab back to razor to kill next egg, rinse and repeat.
Tip:
Make sure you have plenty of time remaining on the MC before killing the adds on the orb platform, if it breaks while he is there he may destroy the orb and wipe the encounter.
Vaelastrasz the Corrupt
Nothing special here, go dps and nuke the hell out of him - with two toons it should not be all that difficult. You simply have to kill him before Burning Adrenaline kills you.
Broodlord Lashlayer
Tank n spank, keep your back to the door so he doesn't knock you into the adds.
Firemaw
Tank n spank, but kill him quickly.
Ebonrok
This guy is tricky. Warrior as tank, priest as dps. Ebonrok will periodically put a debuff on the current target that heals him for 25,000 every time he hits that target - needless to say unless your dps is godly you will have to target swap each time this happens. Here's how to do it.
Have your tank stand with his back to the wall up where Ebonrok patrols, have the priest stand about 30 yards away from the tank - the priest will open up as dps until Ebonrok puts the debuff on the priest, the warrior then taunts but
DOES NOT ATTACK
Ebonrok - this is important. Ebonrok will go to the warrior and and begin attacking him - all you want to do is pull Ebonrok off the priest long enough for the debuff to drop off. If the priest resumes attacking as soon as Ebonrok is over at the warrior he should surpass the warriors threat and Ebonrok will return to the priest right about the time the debuff is put on the warrior.
In this way Ebonrok will not hit the target with the debuff to heal himself, or no more than a couple of swings.
Keep Power Word:Shield up on tank at all times, Ebonrok won't heal as no damage is done. If you don't have a priest, use the above method.
Flamegor
Tank n spank.
Chromaggus
Another somewhat tricky fight, firstly make sure both toons have ample amounts of Hourglass Sand to remove Brood Affliction: Bronze - if you have been killing the trash from Broodlord Lashlayer up to this point you will have plenty of it.
The key here is never let all five debuffs be up at once, as this will mind control your character - which will then kill your other character, and reset Chromaggus.
Keeping the priest out of LOS of Chromaggus does not appear to work anymore, they will still receive the debuffs. As soon as a debuff comes up that can be removed, remove it - except Brood Affliction: Red, multiple stacks of this makes it pretty much impossible to keep off and keep dps up on your warrior so concentrate on keeping Brood Afflictions: Blue, and Bronze off your toons and keep dpsing - red will eventually start to hurt a lot so kill Chromaggus as soon as possible but ALWAYS make sure to keep those debuffs off.
Nefarian
Tank n spank, use the alcove* to channel all the adds into one place for easy pickup.
Make sure your priest is close to your warrior so he doesn't get smashed by the adds later in the fight, they can still kill clothies fairly quickly - even at 85.
*The alcove. When facing the throne turn 90 degrees to the right and you'll see a sort of short tunnel with rubble in it.
Happy hunting!

Regardless of what people have said about this, it
IS
possible to solo right now without being a goblin or engi. I have no idea why some say the mind control orb doesn't work. It did for me.
Using my 85 ret (ilvl 358), I began by disposing of the controller and his friends and quickly taking control of Razorgore from below the platform, standing on the little ledge beneath.
Burst as many eggs as possible before the MC breaks, while making sure Razorgore is nearby when I resume control of my paladin. You then kite him around, spamming AoE's to both heal yourself and dispose of as many adds as possible until it's time to take control of him again.
The trick to succeeding here is to reliably be able to evade Razorgore using the platform and ledge below, causing his health to reset. This doesn't reset the encounter. It can be a little difficult to master this part, but it's very possible.
It's vital to pick your moments as to when you should go breaking more eggs, I always made sure both Razorgore and myself were on full, or close to full health and preferably there would be few adds around too.
I saved bubble to break the conflag when things looked to be getting a bit hairy, whether pvp trinket would also work I don't know, I didn't test it.
Once all the eggs were dealt with, it was fairly trivial to burn Razorgore down and collect my level 60 purples.
All in all it took about 15-20 mins to complete.

EDIT: As promised here's a video I made tonight of a my paladin soloing Razorgore.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GrfapltZ-K0
It's not really hard to figure it out. The "platform" is the podium-like structure with the mind control orb. The "little ledge below" is exactly that, a slightly raised lip at the front of the mind control orb platform.
-
I'll try to explain a little better:
I'm using Seal of Righteousness and Righteous Fury.
The Pull
- Run in and head up the near ramp towards the MC orb, clear the mobs from the platform and use the orb, Razorgore will probably be pretty close at this point.
MC phase
- I usually jump off the front of the MC orb platform, onto the kerb in front. I may choose to use Holy Radiance or Consecration just prior to clicking the orb if necessary (it rarely is). Run around bursting eggs, generally I'll destroy the nearest one to me and then head to the far end of the room until the MC timer is nearly up. At this point I'll start heading back towards the MC orb, continuing to pop eggs on the way.
Post-MC phase
- I seem to have trouble manually breaking MC, whether it's a bug, or my UI I don't know. Anyway, once it's broken, I'll launch into a flurry of aoe in order to thin out the adds and "hopefully" evade Razorgore...
The best I can explain it is as follows.
Run up one of the ramps to the MC orb and he'll follow, jump off the front and step onto the ledge below while spamming Divine Storm, Holy Wrath and whatever else you feel like using. If you time it right he'll evade, so will some adds most likely. The basic rules of evading mobs apply here, if you try to hit him when he can't hit you he'll evade. Divine storm from underneath him, hitting a couple of adds that have his attention seems to work. He will figure out how to reach you and run down the ramp a lot of the time, just keep trying.
It's also possible to do by being on top of the MC platform while he is on the floor below. Using Judgement to gain some distance from him while he's stopped to cast, he will sometimes get stuck just at the corner of the platform, on the ground, near the ramps at either side. When trying to evade him you have to make sure your attacks hit him so he "notices" he can't hit you in return and resets. I haven't got either evade technique down to a science yet, but on my latest kill, he didn't come close to dying so I'm getting better at it.
Once his health has reset, adds are under control and your MC debuff is gone, repeat the process until all the eggs are done.
Bubbling the conflag isn't required to complete it, it's just a bit of insurance in case I have trouble resetting his health, or adds are starting to get too much. I'm fairly sure other classes will be capable of using this tactic, providing they can heal themselves well enough.
I've managed to clear the entire instance solo for three weeks running now, since discovering this tactic.
Good Luck.

Razorgore can be two-manned, if you chose your classes carefully. Myself on a Smite-spec Disc Priest, and a Blood Death Knight were able to complete this event.
You do not
have
to kill the adds. If you are a healer, you can heal Razorgore through the damage the adds cause him (PW:S works on him), while grabbing aggro from the Mind Controller using AoE abilities, and then kiting the adds off the platform (Holy Nova, Consecrate, Hurricane, etc). If the mind controller gets the debuff, you can easily take over the orb, while they round up and kill adds (This requires an AoE class, or another healer class which has AoE capabilities. Rogues are capable of doing this easily, if they have the Glyph of Fan of Knives).
Rinse and repeat. Once all of the eggs are destroyed, be ready to AoE down any remaining adds, before going all out on the boss.
This method does have the highest percent for glitching once Razorgore is dead, from my experience. However, the adds will not (or should not), follow you into the next room. If you trust the person you're with, keep it on Group Loot, so that you can loot on the run. Otherwise, run completely out of the instance (ensure that any dead persons pop their corpses and res outside), and take a fifteen minute break.
Classes which have pets will find that they are unable to click the orb of control. There is no work-around for this glitch, except for dismissing your pet until Razorgore is killable.

He can easily be killed if you have two accounts and are good at window switching.
The method is quite simple, and has already been explained here: bring two characters on different accounts (85 feral and 70 rogue in my case), have the weakest one control the orb and the other aggro and kill the adds. A dual monitor setup, or two windows slightly overlapping are helpful to keep an eye on the chaneling bar.
It is easier than doing it with only one character, but still more challenging than bringing a friend. Not everyone will agree that this can still be called "soloing", but if you have two accounts and want a bit of fun, it is well worth the try.
Now on to Vael!

While this is still impossible to solo, this is very easy to 2 man for a Prot warrior with any other partner. Let me elaborate a bit.
If you spec prot, throw a few of your extra talents into Blood Craze. Have your partner MC Razorgore.
You will clean the adds off your partner, then off Razorgore. Avoid killing them.
Blood Craze will be up almost constantly. All adds will aggro onto you by default. Just watch where you stand. I prefer to stand about 41 yards away from the platform to force the caster adds to run to me and not AOE on my partner, however, you can also run in circles around the pillars if you prefer.
Keep the melee adds away from Razorgore. Even if they are aggro'd onto you, they will focus a very hard hitting move called
Dragonbane
on Razorgore.
Aside from that, it should be a clean 2 man. Happy farming.

I just ran into something interesting that happened when I was just soloing on my hunter: I had done the first wave and despawned them, and hopped off the platform to engage again. I burned the two guards while making a run for the orb, clicked it, and at the very same time got hit with a rather unlucky conflagrate. The interesting part? The conflagrate didn't break my control. Despite being conflagrated and running about wildly, I was still safely channeling. Needless to say I wasn't expecting that. So if you happen to get hit by a conflagrate right as you're trying to control him, it won't leave you cursing with 30 seconds of a debuff to mess up your attempts.
tl;dr - if you get off a channel fast enough, an unlucky conflagrate amazingly won't break it and screw up your attempt.
Just an interesting thing I felt might be worth mentioning, so someone in a similar situation doesn't just see the conflagrate and assume that control was blown, cause that's exactly what I did for the first few confusing seconds until I realized what happened.

Soloed legitimately as an arms warrior.
Like many people have said, the whole strategy relies on the threat generated from blood craze, but it requires some finesse to pull it off. I am in defensive stance the whole time for the extra threat modifier. I spec into second wind as well in case Razorgore gets off a stomp, and as a human I can just racial trinket out of it which refocuses the adds back onto me while getting extra healing/threat. I basically use thunder clap to keep adds on me since it is low damage and I don't have to worry about taking chunks of life away from the boss. When I'm getting overran with adds, I just bladestorm.
I'll start the pull not killing the three adds at the beginning in hopes of proccing blood craze for the first set of adds that spawn. I try to get the eggs closest to the orb first but I always manage to put Razorgore at the other end of the room to allow time for the orb debuff to fade and by the time he gets back, I can retake control before he can do anything serious. You have to sustain this for about 7-10 minutes without any major mistakes so just be patient because sometimes a bad conflag can ruin a great attempt.
After attempting this 30+ times I can tell you that the game winner was when I started putting Razorgore way in the back of the room before I lost control. I could easily manipulate his path back to me and keep him from getting off a stun or conflag a lot easier.

As far as Soloing as a Hunter / Goblin Doesnt seem to be possible anymore. If you get Razgor's aggro before you jump the the balcony he will not teleport you to him. However if you have already got rid of some eggs or your jumping to the balcony for the 2nd time, you will notice when the adds reset and run away the eggs Respawn.
As of right now not able to find anyway around this.

Just to reiterate: Only click the orb ONCE! I was spam clicking the 1st couple of times and wondering why I always had the exhaustion debuff...
I dual-boxed it.
There's almost no drama involved for the MC toon. All the adds will either be focused on the other Toon (or on Razorgore). Just sit tight if the debuff has a few seconds to go, and click calmly when it's clear. I ignored this toon until the channel (and debuff) were finished, and then switched over to click the Orb.
The 'add' Toon just needs to smack Razorgore lightly (or fire off a big heal), when the MC wears off, to get his attention. As a Ret, Divine Storm and the occasional Word of Glory was enough to keep all the Mages focused on me (use Righteous Fury). Cast off a manual heal now and then, if needed, to attract the Mages. Just noticed I passively healed Razorgore 260k with Divine Storm (yay Ret). But he was never in danger of dying.
Once I realized not to spam click the orb, it was an extremely easy kill.

As of 5.0.5 this seems to be no longer soloable. I've been doing this on my hunter every week for months and now it seems they've made it so that the adds re-appear half way through the second MC of Razorgore. Had it happen on three attempts in a row (and no, I didn't mess up). If anyone is still having luck with this, I'd love to know.

As of 5.0.5 this boss is easily soloable by a warlock with the talent Grimoire of Sacrifice. I used to do this boss by using the rocket jump to the balcony technique, but that is shot now. The mobs just stand there and keep coming out while the boss attacks you with his ranged attack if you get to close to the edge of the balcony.
However, with Grimoire of Sacrifice (and using Dark Apotheosis), the passive healing is more than enough to draw the aggro of near every mob in the room. You can push Razorgore to destroy eggs all the way til the timer ends. Then just hit Immolation Aura and whack at the mobs, bust one of your healing CDs, and hit the orb again.
Once the eggs are all destroyed the mobs clear out and there's just the boss who goes down easily.

On the 5.1 PTR, Razorgore has a new drop: The
完好的蛋
. This teaches you to summon an Untamed Hatchling.
To help make the fight more solo friendly, a couple changes to the fight have been made. First, taking damage no longer stops you from channeling the orb. This means that even if you are attacked, you can still control Razorgore and kill the eggs.
Second, Razorgore's Destroy Egg ability now has a 1.5 second cooldown, down from 7 seconds.
As a Paladin, I was able to solo him on the PTR by controlling him and destroying as many eggs as I could, while healing up any damage received between controlling Razorgore himself. It may not be soloable for everyone, but it is definitely more possible than it was before.

With the early raid changes on the 5.1 PTR, it SEEMS that taking damage no longer reduces the channel bar on the orb, making this fight easier to solo than ever before.
Beware that the boss getting aggro will still be an issue, however.

Just fought Razorgore on the PTR. Some thoughts:
The boss is a lot more durable than before, and can get beat on quite a bit before dying, but isn't invincible. You'll need to be quick, and you might need some way to get the adds to go to you instead of him. I was a mage with the Rune of Power talent and the glyph to make it heal you, but I don't know if that helped me get aggro much, or if they just went for me naturally.
If you're a clothie, you'll want to take a moment every so often to AoE the adds down. It won't take long, but even though most of their attacks miss, they'll eventually wear you down. Heavier armor types may not need to worry as much, though.
For those wanting pets for the achievement, I went on to clear the whole instance and all three pets dropped in the same run. I don't think it's 100%, as I went on to kill Magmadar in MC and didn't get the pet from him, but the drop rate is definitely high.

Just a couple tips to help solo this post-5.1. If you have any healing ability, use it between orb conrtolling. This will help to get mobs to aggro onto you and off of Razorgore.
Also it is suggested that eggs be destroyed in only 2 phases so Razorgore doesn't die.
It can take a little bit of luck to down him, so good luck to all thse who try and good luck getting the pets!

Razorgore The Untamed is still unsoloable, despite what the 5.1 patch notes said =/
If I'm wrong, then I'm having a hell of a time with him.

So, this boss is indeed solo-able with the recent patch. After a few frustrating pulls I was able to do it on my 90 rogue. For those that are having difficulty with getting agro because you don't have any large threat producing spells, I would recommend using
战斗号角
after your first round of egg killing is done with. There is no room for error when it comes to popping eggs, you need to make use of every second.

Razorgore is still extremely difficult to solo. I've gone through a couple hundred gold in repairs and have still been looking at 7-8 eggs left. There doesn't appear to be any way to break mind control, so either I die(Prot pally, level 90, ilevel 450) or razorgore dies. I'm sure it's soloable, I'd just like to know what classes blizzard "tested" that soloable claim on (if they even tested).

As of patch 5.1 (when he is allegedly soloable), I am still unable to solo as a 473 elemental shaman. He just dies too fast. There is no way to kill the adds and keep him alive and destroy eggs. Ignore any claims of him being soloable, as they are untrue.

As of 5.1 I finally downed him:
Start the fight below the podium by clicking the orb while standing on the floor(not up on the podium)
Stand in place with razorgore until all the eggs on top of his platform are destroyed(you may have to adjust for the one in the back)
Clear from back to front one egg at a time (spam the key(4), if you're a mouser, it'll probably take too long)
Any dragons that come at you, use the calm mind ability(default 5) to sleep them
Halfway through the room, MC will drop. Spam any AOE's and heal yourself up if you can to draw agro and kill the mobs beating on you
Keep working from back to front, destroying the eggs on the orb platform last and sleeping any dragons that come near you. Ignore any other bad guys. you don't have time to use any ability other than "Destroy egg" and "Calm Mind"
If you're lucky and quick (and have a class that can handle the damage) you should be able to kill all the eggs, from that point, killing him is easy.
Good luck to you and happy hunting.

Have no probs keeping myself alive but there are just too many non dragonkin adds and razorgore goes down quicker then the eggs do. I agree that they shouldnt make it too easy to solo but come on....would have been better if they added a button to break mind control.
*edit* just realized that but still no luck. guess im just slow, lol

5.1 does make razergore easier to solo, just a matter of keeping yourself constantly healed to maintain aggro off razergore, and smashing the eggs out fast enough so you dont fall over

To the massive amount of folks thinking this is still impossible for their class to solo, and need a little bit of help,
陶制碎片
is awesome.
The Terracotta Guardian "pocket tank" is a really good trinket to bust out as soon as you start the fight. After the first MC on Razorgore wears off and the adds slowly start pouring in, his aggressive charging and taunting slowly takes him towards the center of the room where he's more viable to pull adds off of Razorgore as you keep taking the eggs out. Razorgore had about 50% health left by the time I was finished destroying all of the eggs. This trinket truly kicks ass; it's allowed my Rogue to solo this, Onyxia, and Viscidus (using Elemental Force and spamming AR and Killing Spree wasn't quite enough to shatter him, this guy put me over the top of hits required).
It's paid off for the grind to get it from the rare in Valley tenfold already.

As others have stated, as of patch 5.1 Razorgore is now soloable.
I just finished killing him, and thought I'd post some tips for everyone... since it's still no walk in the park to do so. The most difficult thing is keeping Razorgore alive.
1. Run in, kill the controller, and click on the orb.
2. Run Razorgore around, clicking on your "Destroy Egg" ability while standing atop (or just behind) the eggs on the ground.
3. Keep this up until the adds start spawning. Wait until you have 3-5 adds on Razorgore, then click the "Exit Vehicle" button.
4.
As soon as you exit the vehicle, most of the adds that WERE on Razorgore will switch to you
(a few might stay on him, but not many). AoE your little heart out atop the platform for a few moments, killing as many as you can before Razorgore gets to you.
5. Once Razorgore gets to you, you can try single targeting a few more adds around him down if you need to, just try not to hit Razorgore. These adds will be on you at this point, so they're no longer much of an issue, since Razorgore takes a lot more damage from them than you will.
6. Click on the orb again, rinse and repeat.
The key to doing this solo is to exit the "vehicle" of Razorgore often
. Each time you do, you will reset the aggro of the mobs that WERE on him to you. This helps keep him alive, which is definitely the most difficult part of this encounter.
Edit: I had stated that ALL of the adds switch to you when you exit the vehicle, which doesn't appear to always be true. MOST will, however, and if you have a weak AoE that you can run over to Razorgore and do to get the adds off him (it won't take much) - without hurting Razorgore too much - that may help.
Hopefully this helps others! I've tried out this strat on several characters now, and it works for me 100% of the time (even a "squishy" mage).

He is soloable by mages under certains conditions.
My solo: leave a
glyphed
Rune of Power
right where you'll be standing to control the orb and kill the ads near it, pop
Ice Barrier
and begin smashing eggs.
Now this is where the problem begins, even thought you'll get aggro from some mobs, some other will still go after Razorgore. The boss has around 500k hp and will die fairly quickly so you have to be fast, make sure to put the
dragonkin mobs
to
sleep
to minimize the damage the boss takes. As soon as the first channeling ends, pop
Mirror Image
and
this trinket
, they've helped keep many ads away from the boss and it gave me time to destroy the remaining eggs. I did it in Fire spec, but I believe Frost would be ideal with
another target to get aggro
, considering he doesn't vanish once you touch the orb, just remember to leave it on Defensive so it can attack anything that bothers you regardless of what you're doing.

Easily soloed by resto shaman. Start with the eggs on his platform and start working your way back toward you, when razorgore starts to get alot of adds on him and taking heavy damage (i did it around 50-60% health left) exit vehicle, heal yourself up. When razorgore gets back to you drop healing stream totem and mind control him again, this will pretty much heal him back to full. Rinse and repeat.

For anyone looking to solo this now in 5.1 I wanted to share how I was eventually able to do it (just 3 tries) as a windwalker monk. This may not work specifically for everyone but should help in general.
First start with the eggs on the furthest side before the mobs spawn. You can continue to do this probably the first couple of waves but be careful of his HP.
If he got more than a couple mobs on him at once I would break by healing myself w/ Expel Harm, then AE with Spinning Crane Kick. If you have spells available to heal Razorgore, break the MC with a heal on him, then heal yourself. You should have heal aggro on everything by then. I believe I was getting aggro from
Swift Reflexes killing mobs around me. (I could be wrong on that part however).
When you do break, make sure he's far enough away to not get caught in the AE himself.
Repeating this, I was able to break the eggs from furthest to closest before Razorgore himself died.

It's doable, though not easy, for a warrior. The whole trick is after the first MC runs out, to kill as much of the adds as possible and then:
Drop a mocking banner in the middle of the room, this will keep pretty much all adds on you, while you kill off the main chunk of the rest of the eggs, by the time your banner runs out, you will be almost done with eggs and the last few adds will not be enough to get Razorgore down if everything went okay.

Did this last night as a level 89 Prot warrior (with crappy gear). Took me about 6 or 7 tries. I used Enraged Regeneration to heal myself when i wasn't using the orb, and I used Bladestorm to quickly mow the adds down.
I've read that threat is supposed to switch from Razorgore to the player automatically once the orb is turned off. This seems to be true, but it's not instantaneous. There were times where I felt the need to leave the platform and kite the adds (and the boss) around the room just to be sure I had aggro on them all. I used heroic leap and charge to stay ahead of the boss and get back to the orb in time to control him again. You can't be too conservative with the boss' health. Once he has 3-4 adds on him, you have to kill them or he won't survive.
Best of luck! This CAN be done!

How to solo this boss as a Priest. (Lightspring is useful, but any priest spec can do this)
If you are Holy, place Lightspring in the middle of the room. (you will have to refresh it midfight)
Go near the orb, kill the controller and the 2 adds and click on the orb. Start by clearing the eggs near you.
Once the cast time is about halfway, or if there are too many mobs on the Boss, just move it to the opposite side of the room and use "dismiss" on your pet.
Immediately heal yourself to get aggro off Razorgore and kill as many adds as you can before the boss gets to you.
Don't ever AoE if the boss gets close to you. Just heal yourself, kite him away while controlling him, dismiss and kill the adds.
Quickly cast Renew/PoM/PW:S on yourself and click on the orb again, rinse and repeat. You might need to dismiss more often if you keep many adds alive since you will take quite a beating near the end.
I killed the adds just 1 time and by the end of the fight there were a lot up, but I never came close to dying (if you do just dismiss Razorgore and heal/shield yourself).

I am a Windwalker Monk, pure DPS with low healing abilities.
The trick to soloing this fight is, don't kill more than 25% of the adds. A FIXED amount of adds appear on this fight, I believe it is 40. If you do wipe out all the adds periodically, more will pour out of the four corners, beating Razorgore to death quickly.
Also, DON'T let Razorgore get near you, as he will Conflagrate you, stunning you and causing the mobs to start beating on him. He will then aggro some of the mobs to the point where mild healing abilities won't pull them off back to you.
I stunned the mobs with Leg Sweep when I saw Razorgore's health going down too fast, then used any healing/damage absorbing abilties I had,
single-target
. I then quickly mind-controlled Razorgore again before he could conflag me.
Tanking adds shouldn't be too bad as a healer, as you can heal yourself up fast and use it as an aggro-pull.
So to reiterate:
1) DON'T kill all the mobs, tank them, using heal abilities to pull aggro periodically and keep yourself from croaking.
2) DON'T let Razorgore get too close to you before MC'ing him again.
3) I found a 75/25 balance of adds on you/him respectively to work okay.
Good Luck!

He's easy to beat if you have an instant heal. This system should apply for any class that can target a heal on a friendly pet, which should include
hunters
, DKs and any healing-capable class.
Edit: Apparently mend pet doesn't apply to this kind of pet. I seem to recall an instant pet-healing spell that hunters can spec into, other than that one.
As a melee druid, I was unable to beat Razorgore until I used the following system:
Put a targetable instant heal on a secondary quickbar
Add Razorgore as a focus target.
Stand on the ground, not the dais. Click on the orb and start the event. Ignore the adds.
No, really ignore the adds. I never attacked one of them
Keep Razorgore on his side of the room, and spam skill 4 (to destroy the eggs)
When there are more than two mobs on him, click on your focus (to target Razorgore) and hit an instant heal. As Guardian, I still have access to Rejuvenation which works fine. I also cast Rejuvenation on myself. (do not cancel the mind control - just cast the spell)
I think I needed to cast the heal only three or four times. As far as I can recall, only one tick landed on Razorgore.
As soon as possible, click the orb and continue popping eggs. Once the last egg pops, all adds run away and you can quickly dps the boss down.
At no point was I attacking anyone. I think the important parts of this system are to have an instant heal ready for casting, and to use it any time the boss has more than one or two adds. This system worked perfectly for me the first time I tried it.

I solo'ed this last night as a Prot pally easily and the way that I did it was:
1. I ran in and killed the mobs at the orb.
2. I mc'ed Razorgore and started killing eggs. I ran him to the farthest eggs, because he was further from me when I dropped the mc and when I finished with eggs he was nearby in melee range.
3. I ignored all the adds beating on Razorgore and kept killing eggs.
4. I let Razorgore get to about 20% health when I ran him close to me and targeted him. I used my lay on hands on him to heal him to full, consecrated, and re-mc'ed him. If I was getting overwhelmed with adds, I would use consecrate and hammer of righteous and holy wrath. That would kill the adds around me.
5. I kept killing eggs and if Razorgore got low on health again, I would run him away from me and drop the mc and build up combo points on the trash, re-mc Razorgore and use Word of Glory on him. This was enough to keep him alive long enough to kill the remaining eggs.
6. Once the eggs were all dead, the mc broke and I went to town on him with my prot dps. He wasn't alive for long.
It's important to remember that you can use healing abilities on Razorgore if you have him selected. It will break the MC but it'll heal him before it breaks. This is key because if you don't have any healing abilities, the adds will either overwhelm you or him. Bandages would also work but you'd only get one tick of it before the mc breaks and that's not enough to keep him alive for long.
Also remember to drop the MC every now and than to get the adds to agro onto you instead of him. The less you have to heal him, the faster you can kill the eggs. The cooldown on the egg breaker is now 1.5 seconds, down from 7 seconds it used to be.
You may be able to kill all the eggs without healing him if you drop the mc often enough to get most of the adds on you. I got lucky and he dropped the new pet for me. Good luck to you all! =D

I killed Razorgore today as a lvl85 Ret Paladin. After wiping only once due to an addon preventing me from using Destroy Eggs (yea..I know), I found it to be an easy kill.
Changes I found:
- MC is not lowered/broken by damage, and there was no delay in re-MCing him.
- The adds no longer do extreme damage to him so he can tank some for a good bit, but he is FAR from able to ignore them while he destroys eggs.
- Most importantly, When Razorgore is on your side of the room the adds will almost always go to you instead of Razorgore, and when adds do go to him while he is far away moving closer to your body will make them break from him and go to you most of the time.
The last mechanic mentioned basically made "Adds killing Razorgore" a non-issue in the fight as long as you are smart about your path in destroying eggs (don't stay on the other side of the room for too long). As others have mentioned if you have an instant heal you can pop it on Razorgore as well, but I did not need to do so in my encounter (He ended the phase with ~80% health).
I do not suggest trying to kill adds as they stack up, as this appears to only cause MORE adds to start flooding in.
The real trick to the fight is keeping your body alive while you destroy eggs as more and more waves of adds start beating you. Classes with passive regen are easy (Warlocks with sac'ed pet, Warriors with Second Wind), all others will have to break MC ever so often to heal up, even my under leveled Ret spec Paladin with no shield on kept himself up with Sacred Shield+Flash of Lights though.

Disregard all the comments about "can't be soloed, Blizzard lie, blah blah" as they're 100% INCORRECT!
The fight itself is still the same in regards to kill the 3 on the platform, take control of Razorgore, destroy eggs and waves of adds spawn after 30 secs of the initial pull. Plenty of people have tried to kill him straight away which results in the normal wipe regardless of immunities used (eg Paladin Shield or Mage Ice-block). Also, if the adds kill him it's the same result. The adds spawn still do the same damage, which doesn't do much to a 90 individually but the more you have spawn on you the worse it gets. They'll still do the same damage as before to Razorgore so getting them off him is a priority, especially if he starts taking lots of noticeable damage.
IMPORTANT
- The adds spawn constantly, there is no max number spawned at any time, they're endless and spawn in the 4 corners of the room. Don't let yourself or Razorgore get overwhelmed. These adds run away \ despawn once Razorgore destroys the last egg.
HOWEVER, and this is a BIG HOWEVER, there are 2 very big changes to this encounter:-
1) No more debuff from using the Orb. This means you can release him at
any time
and retake control when ready. Just remember 1 key thing - if Razorgore reaches the orb he destroys it and kills you instantly.
2) Razorgore's Destroy Egg has
no cooldown
. This means you can clear all the eggs really fast if you just focus and don't mess around with any of his other abilities.
He's soloable as I've done so around 10 minutes ago with the greatest of ease.

As a Frost DK (regular DPS build and gear) it was easy when I started Razorgore close to me (it seemed to keep much more of the adds on me instead of him.) When I took control of Razor too early/too far away he got way too many adds and died on my 2 tries like that.
For my kill I killed the 3 adds at the orb and waited for Razor to get close to the dais with the controlling orb (but MC him before he gets on the dais so he doesn't conflag you.) I then started destroying the eggs on that dais and across the room toward the other side. When the first MC was getting ready to run out I ran him to the opposite dais (destroying eggs up there until it ran out) and then killed all of the adds currently on me (like 2 frost blasts) and then took back Razor and easily finished off the rest of the eggs without either of us getting low HP.
After the last egg is destroyed he goes back to full HP but is an easy kill.

Useful information for soloing in patch 5.1 :
* The ability to destroy eggs has a 1.5 sec cooldown instead of 6 sec
* MC as soon as possible
* Destroy eggs on the MC platform first, then hug left, destroying eggs along the way, and make sure you can destroy all eggs on the opposite platform in the back. Your MC spell will start running out, so move Razorgore back to the starting platform
* AoE adds as much as you can, killing as many as you can.
* MC again, and destroy all remaining eggs
I had him left with 33% hp before he dismissed adds, so it should hopefully work for you.

As a warlock soloing this for pet farming in 5.1 is easy,
Make sure u have a HS, spec Grimoire of Sacrifice for the HOT, lifetap to low HP so the healing develops threat.
This way the adds go to you instead of Razergore letting you destroy eggs pacefully as you draw the adds to smack you instead of him.

I was able to complete this as a hunter after three attempts:
I specced into Survival and took the 'Exhiliration' talent for a self-heal thinking that the heal would draw aggro.
The first thing I did was kill the three mobs near the orb and then quickly dropped a explosive trap and ice trap near me on the platform. Then took control of the orb (you can't have an active pet BTW).
Like others stated, I cleared the eggs on the MC platform first and then made my way along the left wall towards the other platform and cleared there. The MC dropped just as I had razorgore jump down from the platform.
Next I quickly hit exhiliration/healing potion/deterrence followed by dropped an explosive trap at my feet and then a quick multishot at the mobs around me and then took control of the orb just as Razorgore was walking up the steps. I continued to clear eggs and the MC timed out again while Exhiliration was still on cooldown so I popped readiness and then did Exhiliration/multishot (can't remember if I had time to drop another explosive trap).
Razorgore was down to about 5% health when I destroyed the last egg. Then it was simply a matter of summoning the pet and DPSing him down.
I didn't think it was possible to solo as a hunter but turns out that it is.

So, I've been trying this for the past couple of days after 5.1 came out and found that there is no 'leave vehicle' button, the adds can disrupt your channeling and will not come after you even if you do break the channeling. I also noticed that some of the eggs did not "die" when I tried to destroy them, having to do them twice. Seems things are glitched or blizz put things back they way they were with this new patch to keep us from just walking in and steamrolling the raid.

Control Razorgore, destroy as many eggs as you can. If you get aggro dismiss him by clicking his frame then heal you own character. This will make you aggro his enemies. Dont kill them with your char it will only spawn more. Keep on doing this, and when you killed all the eggs, kill him slowly otherwise he will whipe the whole raid because of some bug.
So to sum it up.
>
Control him
>
Heal yourself to take aggro from him
>
If you kill adds they will respawn
> Use bearform if you are druid and MCing him.
Easy stuff.

I just solo'd him as a monk that's barely geared for LFR. I didn't use any particular strategy other than "GO REALLY FAST." I controlled Razorgore and started destroying the eggs closest to his side of the room and slowly made my way to the other side. As soon as I lost control, I spin-kicked the **** out of the accumulated mobs and then immediately controlled him again. I ended up killing the last egg with only a few seconds to spare, and about 20k health left on my guy.

Destroy the eggs as quickly as possible; when the mind control ends or you are too low on health:
- shield yourself,
- AOE the adds
- heal yourself,
- and start over again.
On the last egg, Razorgore was on 1% health... so a very close call!
Hope this helps!

So it's still a pretty stupid fight for Warlocks as our pets make up one of our specs and grimoire of sacrifice isnt enough to offset the amount of damage you need to be healing from with siphon life / harvest life (granted its not ticking off on RG). Just thought I'd add my two cents on how I solo this guy after 5.1.
Any class with a instant HOT ability, preferably spec'd into your heal spec but I did it on my shadow priest without problems. IE Renew, Rejuvenation, Riptide, and whatever that pally eternal flame thing is that HOT's.
If his health starts to dip just select him while you still have him MC'd then cast your hot. The MC will end but your super duper high level HOT will be applied and pretty much heal any damage he'll take. I had to do it twice, along with healing myself up.
Makes it pretty easy. Also worth noting that a shaman using Healing tide/stream totems will have their hot applied too.
I'll come back and let you know how I do this on my non-HOT classes when I figure it out :)

After 5.1 this fight is pretty simple as a demonology warlock, just grab the grimoire of sacrifice talent.
I successfully attempted this earlier today in Dark Apotheosis with grimoire of sacrifice. It appears that the 2% heal would pull (most) mobs right off Razorgore and straight to me, and because of that I was able get the eggs down pretty quick.
The heal would (for the most part) keep my health in check, I don't think I ever went below 2/3 HP.

A tip for Paladins wanting to solo him: Take Holy Prism and cast it on him while he's MC'd. This will heal him up and deal a good amount of damage to everything near him, which should ensure that you get aggro on everything. Eternal Flame is also a good talent to have for this fight, on the pull, get at least three charges of Holy Power, MC Razorgore, when you want to break the MC, apply a (for the level of content) huge HOT. Both are pretty good since keeping the boss alive is the biggest challenge in the encounter.

I had some trouble at first with soloing him as a Hunter.
First up, Mend Pet and Spirit Bond do not work with Razorgore.
You will also be unable to use any pets with the exception of Stampede.
I tried as all 3 specs and BM was the easiest.
Before you start grab a spirit beast pet and
被烧毁的雕文
if you don't have 5 of them.
Start the fight as usual, drop an explosive trap (unglyphed) at your feet and start killing the eggs. You should keep aggro until the first MC runs out and the explosive trap will handle everything excluding the dragons.
Keep dropping explosives and throwing Multi-Shots and Glaive Toss between mind controls.
Once you're on low HP, pop Stampede on the mobs near you drop an explosive trap if its off cooldown and get back to the eggs while they clean up the trash. All 5 pets should drop their HoT on you getting you back to full HP.
Once stampede ends, Razorgores abilities bug and become greyed out, you will have to drop and remind control.
Each time MC drops most of the adds on Razor will run to you, so do it frequently and keep dropping explosive traps.

OK I just soloed this as a Blood DK, it's soloable but not faceroll, I wiped a few times before figuring out that you MUST cancel the MC when ever mobs are running towards Razorgore so they switch aggro to you instead, you can use that oppurtunity to get in a couple of death strikes to keep your health up.
If you don't break MC and force mobs to switch aggro to you constantly, Razorgore will die.
Using this strat I was able to kill him pretty easily.

This is how I soloed him as a prot paladin in decent gear (475 ilevel). Before the fight, I made a /tar razorgore macro and bound it to a hotkey.
-- Killed adds on platform and clicked on MC orb.
-- Destroyed eggs on platform first, then worked my way along one side of the room, destroying each egg along the way. I made it to an egg right before the far platform before the adds started spawning.
-- Dismissed Razorgore and threw down Consecration and a Flash Heal on myself to build a little aggro. Reclicked orb before Razorgore got to me.
-- Killed more eggs around the room. Razorgore can take some pounding, just used the /tar macro to monitor his health. When he got to about 35%, I moved him toward me, used the /tar macro and cast Lay on Hands to heal him up to full. Reclicked orb after heal.
-- Killed the remaining eggs then killed him.
You may have to dismiss Razor and kill adds/build aggro periodically so all the adds don't go directly to him. Just make sure he doesn't reach you, otherwise he'll cast Conflagration and you will be dazed & unable to click the orb to re-apply MC.

First time soloing tonight. I BARELY got him. After several tries, this was the strat that worked for me:
- Flasked and fed Prot Warrior (for the stamina to take a long beating from a lot of adds)
- MC Razorgore and get to work on the eggs as fast as possible, starting with the platform you're on and taking the shortest route to the next one. Get about halfway across the room and start making it trhough the center, always going for the closest egg, until you're at the opposite side of the ramp you went down the platform from. If you take the perfect route you can get the far half of the room in one MC.
- When first MC breaks, Razorgore should be on the far opposite side of the room, giving you time to take care of some adds before he gets close. Throw every AOE you've got to eliminate a few adds, then before Razorgore gets over to you (and you start accidentally damaging him), throw down Mocking Banner and re-MC boss right away.
- Get the closest egg to Razorgore, which should be real close to your body (ie you'll be right on top of the adds but 30 second of Mocking Banner will be keeping them off boss), and work your way around, up and over the platform near the MC orb, ending with the eggs in the middle, again, always going for the nearest one to maximize eggs destroyed.
I was able to get all the eggs in 2 MCs and that was with my last egg being on the far opposite side of the room from the MC orb (I walked away a split second too early and it cancelled it), but I made it with maybe 3 seconds to spare.
Then it's just tolerate Razorgore's MCs while you beat the snot out of him (heal as needed but at 417k health, a few Victory Rush's ... should survive). And bonus, he dropped the pet for me.

Im trying to solo him but theres no option to "dismiss" him or "leave vehicle" as others say. While i had on my addons there was a button to "leave vehicle" but clicking on it did nothing. When my addons were all turned off there was no such button whatsoever. This is extremely frustrating as towards the end of the fight the adds start ganging up on him and i cant remove control so i can get aggro

Important note for those solo'ing this boss:
This is from before the days of vehicle combat, so there is no actual "Leave Vehicle" button. While you can hit the Esc key to drop out of him, this will cause Razorgore to maintain whatever aggro he had while you were controlling him, and this will make him die rather quickly.
In order to get the adds off of him and to focus on you, you need to right click Razorgore's frame and select "Dismiss" as if he were a hunter/demon pet. If you do this, he will drop aggro properly and everything will come running to you. Do this any time he starts taking noticeable damage.
At that point you just heal and AoE down as much as you can, then control the boss again. Lather, rinse, repeat until all the eggs are down.

Well this was a pain. I don't have MoP so I'm trying on 85 characters.
My warrior I go close, but ended up failing repeatedly. Disaster on my Moonkin. Didn't want to try many of my other characters.
Feral druid was up next.
I was able to kill the controller quickly in Bear form. Then got a good amount of eggs down. After that I just dismissed Razor when the timer was low. Put a rejuv on myself, and used a healing touch along with any defensive cooldowns. Maybe swiped a time or 2 and went back to eggs.
The first time I let Razor get too low and missed it by 1 freaking egg. The next time I got it easily.
So Ferals are a good choice for an annoying freaking boss to solo.

I posted this somewhere else earlier today, but to reiterate here: the trick to soloing Razorgore as a mage is to glyph evocation to regen health and to use Rune of Power, but it's also important to NOT use Ice Barrier - the adds need to do damage to you so that the rune can heal it up so that you generate healing aggro on the adds.
If Ice Barrier is active, you aren't taking damage, so your rune isn't healing you, so you're not generating any healing aggro, so the adds stick to Razorgore.
I went from Razorgore dying with 1-5 eggs left to him destroying all the eggs with half his health left by doing it this way.
Hope this helps.

Also note that Razorgore counts as a controllable pet, and WoW will only ever let you have one controllable pet out at a time. Its already been said, but dismiss your hunter pet and your warlock demon to be able to use the orb.
However, uncontrolled pets may still exist while you control the boss. Uncontrolled pets are those that you cannot issue orders to. These include pets summoned from trinkets, shaman elementals/spirit wolves, and warlock demons like wild imps and infernals/abyssals.
Demo Warlocks especially should have an easy time of this one, as you can mind control for the first round, hit Hand of Gul'dan on the throng around you when the control ends to summon up maximum wild imps, and then drop your infernal/abyssal. They will continue clearing adds for you while you return to breaking eggs.

As an Ele shaman and after many attempts the only way I managed to pull this off is to work from the orb side of the room and making sure I have Razorgore as far away from me at the end of the MC channel as possible. In the few seconds I had before he made it back over to the orb I pop magma totem to make sure Im doing damage to the adds, toss a quick healing surge on myself and put Healing Rain in the middle of the floor. As soon as Razorgore was MCd again Id put him in healing rain for a few seconds because my biggest issue across the board was him dying and the little bit of healing to him made a huge difference.

Just solo'ed him as a Blood DK. Wiped so many times but realised that killing the adds wasn't the most important thing. I found
血魔之握
was the best thing to use in this fight. It has a one minute cooldown but you can destroy the eggs and keep the aggro off of Razorgore just long enough.
First I destroyed as many eggs as I could before the adds started spawning then removed MC once Razorgore gained aggro, then used
血魔之握
on him which pulled his adds towards me. I aoe'd as many as I could while far away from Razorgore then MC'd him again. Don't worry about killing the adds, just make sure you pull them away from him whenever you release MC and have the spell off cooldown and keep yourself alive. It was a close call but it worked =)

Tips as a shaman: use your earth/fire elemental (and spirit wolfs if enha).
I think you're not allowed to have the improved elementals talent, because they will despawn then when you MC the boss....I'm not sure about this.
This way you'll barely have to keep an eye on the adds, as your pets will just kill and agro them all.
I'd suggest doing this after you lose control the first time (or if there are too many nuking razorgore).

Very easy as prot warrior. Get straight onto killing eggs (press 4) and keep Razorgore away from your channeling toon. Kill eggs as fast as possible. Once channeling ends pop CDs to kill all the adds on you, then as Razorgore gets to you (on his own) throw down mocking banner (to get adds back on you and off boss) and continue killing eggs. Once all eggs are gone you can kill everything, including boss.

For those trying to solo this in 5.1: As any class with heals, simply healing yourself will generate enough aggro to pull mobs off of Razorgore. Any time Razorgore starts taking too much damage (every 20% worked fine for me) just dismiss him, heal yourself, and channel again. No AoE required.

Bulding threat by healing does help a lot in this fight.
You can end the mc by casting a single - instant spell upon the mc´d razgore. I focus targeted him and used Power Word: Shield.

After 20 wipes I learned and/or remembered these:
1. At any given time there can be 40 adds in the room. Was like that in vanilla and is the same now.
2. Adds spawning tend to aggro you when Razorgore is near you. The farthest away he is (eg. the back of the room) the more possible - if not for sure - they will aggro him.
3. When the Mind Control breaks Razor will cast some of his abilities on the adds and he will pull some from you for sure. He is aggressive towards both you and the adds. Don't let him too long out of MC.
4. You cannot have a pet eg. shaman elemental, hunter pet etc. and also try to control Razorgore.
5. DO NOT SPAM THE MC when it breaks! There might be some delay and some difficulty because of the adds around you but if it finally worked and you press it again you will get the 8 secs debuff making you unable to control Razor for the duration. Click once, wait to see if it worked and if not try again.
What I finally did:
I DID NOT KILL ANY ADD.
I started destroying the eggs near the controller and continue destroying the ones near me. This caused all mobs spawning attack me and not Razorgore.
Just before the MC broke for the first time I tried to have Razor away so to give me some time to cast some healing on me (did the fight as elemental shaman). You can use also a pot.
I recast MC and continue to break eggs. By now most adds should be on you and only a few on him. Most of the adds should have spawn by now. The rest will not do so much dmg on him.
One hard thing is to keep an eye on yourself and time when you break the MC to heal yourself if you need to.

I found that as I got better at efficiently destroying eggs (getting the most out of each MC), the harder it got. Of course the gut reaction is to try to clear eggs even faster... I finally realized that destroying eggs generates aggro (duh), so naturally destroying them too fast gets too much aggro on Razorgore and he'll get worn down faster. Don't be afraid to dismiss him early, clear some adds, get some more aggro on you and then send him back to work. I found if I was trying to pull it off in 3 MC's or less I'd wipe due to Raz dying too fast.

Just did this as a lv88 destro loc with a saced daemon and found something interesting. The passive healing from the sac was drawing all the adds agro away from raz, I was just running around in raz until my loc got low on health, got out poped a health stone and aoed down some the mobs. I usually did this when the mc released naturally.
Another point is that mobs attacking you while mced no longer has any significant push back, Having 30+ mobs on me for the entire time gave me less than 1 second of push back.

The fight is ninja buffed or bugged. I have soloed him really easily every week since 5.1. Now i tried to kill him many many times with same gear and same spec as usual. You just don´t generate enough aggro anymore as dps geared prot spec warrior. Second Wind did generate almost zero aggro when there was loads of adds. Im sure it´s still soloable but but..

It sounds strange, but the key to soloing Razorgore is to NOT kill any adds. Any class with a healing ability should just keep healing themselves while letting all of the adds beat on you. The room can only hold 40 adds, and they aggro very quickly on anyone healing themselves. Once 40 are out, there are none left to beat on Razorgore if they are all beating on you (via the healing aggro). I did this with my Blood DK and a combination of Vampiric Blood + Rune Tap as well as Raise Dead + Death Pact. It might actually help to start this fight about half health so that you can have more room to get healing aggro.

For those classes that do not have a resident AOE you can easily grab full room aggro via Healing yourself.
pop a HoT on yourself and run around the room. mobs that Razorgore has not attacked back should switch to you.
The threat Razergore gets from mobs entering the room is close to non existent, the mobs have only a sight aggro to him, You healing yourself should be enough of a taunt to the room to pull mobs that razorgore has not auto attacked back to switch to you, the mobs that wont turn onto you can be easily singled out and picked off,

As some have stated above in 5.1 this is now soloable. If you are a tank there a better method of doing this fight and is much simpler.
First you kill the adds that are controlling the orb then quickly get the orb of command and destroy as many eggs asap. then whenever you run out of channeling time quickly press the orb again. and continue onto the egg destroying and you should be able to destroy them without you or Razorgore dying.
Phase 2 is easy, by this time i had around 100k-200k health on my pally. i used lay on hands to get back up and finished off razorgore. (all the adds leave the room once phase 2 starts and is a quick 10-20 second burn phase and you killed him. i hope this was helpful and wasn't hard to read. (I tend to make crappy forum posts. so are illegible.)

He is Soloable, being a tank druid you can start the channel and kill up your eggs. Once the mind control starts to drop get him close and target him to use a Rejuv. It breaks mc and puts a hot on razorgore, hit the orb and watch the mobs swarm you while you finish up the eggs. Gotta keep up the HoTs though, plus side is razorgore stays at max health.

Easily Soloable as a Prot warrior.
Make sure you have Second Wind. I tried soloing it without that talent and failed several times.
Every so often dismiss Razergore and kill any adds that are attacking him. Be careful not to kill any adds that you have aggro'd . The reason for this is only 40 adds can spawn and if they are all attacking you, then Razergore will not be attacked.
Once the eggs are cleared the adds run away and you can then kill Razergore easily.

After multiple failed attempts as a level 90 Unholy Death Knight, I finally downed Razorgore.
First off, once I had him MCed, I started destroying the eggs closest to the orb working toward the opposite wall. I got as far from my toon as I could when the MC broke and then popped Death and Decay and Unholy Blight as well as Army of the Dead (which REALLY helped with aggro) I MCed Razorgore a second time and destroyed the rest of the eggs and then just DPSed him down.
I didn't need to use any healing, just some food with +200 dodge buff and blood presence was enough.
Remember as an Unholy DK, DO NOT use your pet. The first few times I tried it, I pulled out my pet in between MCs to use death pact to heal myself and didn't realize until a few tries later that my summoned pet was the reason I couldn't MC the boss again.
But once I decided to pop AoD in between MCs, the fight was easy peasy. :)
Good luck!

my trick was to use rejuvenation on him to leave the vehicule, using aoe to clear the adds on me (mushrooms, starfall, hurricane/astral storm) and get back to him as soon as i could, so the rejuvenation ticks would kick in
my reward was the pet that he now drops

What I've found works really well is to kill the controller and channel as everyone else has stated, and then start off by killing the eggs closest to the channelling orb first, and work your way back. By the time the channeling timer is up, Razorore should be far away from you and you will have a few seconds to AoE the mobs attacking you.
Then it's very important to start channelling again before Raz gets to the platform. What I've noticed is that he doesn't take all that much damage from the mobs attacking him; what gets his HP down is when he's on the platform with you, he takes a ton of AoE damage.
I did it using this method on an 88 rogue with no healing, crappy armour, and moderate HP, and finished all the eggs with about 75% health on Raz.

What I have discovered to work best is to immediately aoe the three mobs that are on the platform with the orb. Drop off the front of the platform and stand close enough to it that you can still interact with the orb. After that control Razorgore and work your way back to the side you're on. Start clearing the eggs on the other platform and just snake your way back, completely ignore the adds on Razorgore. When the MC falls off aoe the mobs on you then pick up the MC again and finish it up.

i also was using sacrificed pet so my passive regen was huge so i wasn't dying at all ether

tips for soloing as a lock:
*ss yourself before fight.
*dismiss pet before fight so u can control the orb.
*from time to time, take boss to far end of room, dismiss orb, then use aoe on the adds around u.
then go tag with corruption the adds dpsing the boss and get back to orb.
*u can use imp swarm and summon abyssal and then click orb to control boss again. u can also use aoe (like immolation aura) and then click orb, the aoe will continue despite that u controlling boss now.
*when u controlling boss then remember to sleep 1 drgaon add that attacks u, from time to time.

For those lucky enough to farm up the
陶制碎片
, it is a huge help here. Pop the trinket before you kill the three mobs on the pedestal with the control orb, and he will aggro any of the adds that come after you. I've also noticed he'll get bored from time to time and run out to aggro the mobs that go after Razorgore.
As for Razorgore himself, pick up control as soon as you can and try to clear one side of the room before you have to release him. Then just clear out the other side and drop him. In the two runs I've done since I got the trinket, he's managed to clear the room with over 50% life left.

Tips for a Monk to solo at level 90:
禅意波
Start the fight and go the full portion killing eggs. After the first timer wears down,
神鹤引项踢
to kill the mobs around you. I attempted a few times to kill other mobs nearby, but either you accidentally hit Razorgore or he stuns you. Once the mobs around you are down:
禅意波
. And regain control on Razorgore.
禅意波
creates and keeps up agro on new mobs/current mobs. A few will still hit Razorgore, but not too many as most will attack you. After 30-45 seconds
神鹤引项踢
to get the mobs off you again and then
禅意波
one more time and then let Razorgore get the last few eggs.
You should be able to get it down within the 3rd control cast.
As a general rule for other classes, you need something to draw constant agro (like hunter traps) to easily solo this.

I was having issues doing this as an enhancement shaman since I wasn't able to generate enough AoE damage to peel the adds of Razorgore and he always died. I ended up using this strategy:
1. Run in and kill the controller and click the orb
2. Start destroying eggs on the far side of the room
3. When the channeling is about to run out move Razorgore onto the platform that you're on
4. Drop an earth elemental. You can't be specced into
元素尊者
because the Primal Earth Elemental will take up the pet slot
5. Click the orb again and destroy the eggs on the orb platform then destroy the rest of the eggs in the room
I was able to do the fight pretty easily with this method without worrying about Razorgore's health through the rest of the fight and without having to drop control of Razorgore to peel the adds off.

Hunter solo guide:
take Exhilaration talent.
by traps i mean, ice trap, snake trap and Explosive trap(unglyphed explosive trap)
put pet away(cannot control boss with a pet out)
attack the three mobs by orb. drop all traps and click orb quickly before he makes it up the ramp to you.
start taking out the orbs closest to you, keep going until you almost run out of time, IF he is low health(meaning around 1/4) use Exhilaration while still controlling him, it will heal him and end the MC. drop all traps again and pop Stampede, click orb and go back to clearing the room.
>I personally did not have to use Exhilaration the first loss of MC, i let it run out, and dropped traps and stampede.<
If you did not need to use Exhilaration great! save it for when he gets down to 1/4 health, use it, drop traps and click orb. keep clearing. once all eggs are gone, the mobs run, just attack and kill him.

If you fail soloing this as a mage, you can Iceblock immediately after Razorgore dies, rendering you immune for the blast, and you can try again.
This boss is actually very easy if you pursue the following strategy:
*Make sure you have changed your
Evocation
into
Rune of Power
, and have it
glyphed
, so you recover HP constantly. Unequip 4 pieces of your gear (this will make the mobs hit you harder = more heals = more aggro).
*Clear the opposite end of the room in the beginning, because the aggro mechanic seems to take distance into account. The closer Razorgore is to you, the easier it is to take aggro of him. You will want to take more aggro later on in the fight, as there will be more adds. In the beginning, there are no adds (make sure to use all your dps buffs on the 3 guys around the Orb at the beginning of the fight, as that will allow you to break one or two more eggs without any adds bothering you).
* Rebuff
Rune of Power
whenever it wears off, and try to hit any mobs there are hitting Razorgore. Use AOE to kill all the mobs around you before you re-use the Orb.
Using this strategy, you should be able to clear all eggs, with Razorgore at 30-40% at the last one. Key is to start at the opposite end of the room.

Soloed as a hunter on the third try. Few points: you need only two mind control sessions to destroy all the eggs if you're quick. Start near the orb so that the adds agro yourself. When you lose MC, use an AoE to kill the adds and then start MC again. After the eggs are destroyed you can use self-heal, but that's not strictly necessary.

For Warlocks:
Don't use your Flames of Xoroth to bring out one of your demons while you're MC-ing Razorgore. For me it broke MC, caused him to despawn and all the doors were locked, couldn't use the MC orb, had to let the endless adds kill me. When I tried to go back in to give it another go the gate was down. Waited about 20 mins to see if the gate would raise to let me back into the egg room, nothing.
TL;DR: Flames of Xoroth while MC glitches everything, don't do it.

Trying to solo him? Here are the two keys: learning how to break MC and learning how to re-MC him even though you have mobs attacking you. There is no button you can click on to break MC. You'll notice however, that you have an action bar for Razorgore when he is MC'd. And you also have your own action bar. You can click on him or yourself (your icons rather) and cast a spell and this is what breaks the MC. Don't have pets out or you can't re-MC. You might want to put him on focus to make it easier to click on him. Towards the middle-bottom of your screen you will see the "channel" bar, which is really slow, but you MUST pay attention to it because this dictates your moves.
Each one of you will have to develop your own method to the madness but the basic strat is this:
(1) There are 30 eggs in total I think. You need to kill up to 8 eggs on the first MC, starting with all of those on and near your platform first and moving him towards the far platform. Put every dragon attacking Razorgore to sleep, without exception, because they do the most damage.
(2) When the first MC wears off, you are now on your platform being attacked by a huge mob. Pop your CD's and nuke them quick. Only one or two of your attacks will take HUGE gobs of his health down, so when Razorgore gets close, even if you are still being attacked, clicky on the orb again. You might experience some pushback but you can do eet. You MUST do eet or you will fail, so keep trying. Consider popping a heal-potion first, or save it for later when your health starts to get really low.
(3) Once you have him re-MC'd, go back to clearing out all the eggs, but this time you are watching your health and his health. You can heal him up, which will break the MC, but he must be within range. I had to bring him back once and loh, nuke a few adds, then re-MC, and burn more eggs.
Once I figured out the basic rules of how to break MC and re-MC even though I was being interrupted periodically, the fight became fairly easy, although tense. With the final egg gone, the adds cleared out by themselves and it was me on him. He likes to cc you, so make sure your health is up before concentrating on him or you might let it slip through your fingers at the very end.
Good luck and have fun!

Having perfected foolproof methods of soloing this boss on 2 classes so far I've decided to share my experiences after many experiments :)
First of all, forget about all the comments that suggest killing the channeler first, there's no point in my experience as it saves valuable seconds for egg killing by leaving him, for now.
First method is with my main character Boomkin.
1. First thing I do is plant 3 mushrooms on the main floor below the podium with the orb in a decent spread so as to do max damage/kills.
2. Next I take the orb from the main floor and get on with the egg killing.
I concentrate on clearing the eggs from furthest end and by time I'm almost half way through the possession drops off.
3. Just as the first possession ends, I detonate the mushrooms killing all the mobs around me. I take over the orb soon after and carry on with the eggs. There's no definite way to clear eggs at this point as any logical process will work with more than enough time left.
Second method is with my warlock. As demo spec I always have Dark Apotheosis on as it seems to attract more mobs away from Razorgore when possessed.
1. I start the fight in the same way by taking over the orb without touching the summoner.
2. I work through the eggs in the same manner but just as the first possession finishes, I drop my Abyssal right on top of the position where I'm summoning from.
3. I take over the orb again and carry on with eggs. In the meantime my Abyssal is causing mayhem killing all the mobs around me and making the whole process trivial.
One final note for second boss as lock, make sure you remember to SS yourself before the fight to avoid the corpsewalk back from Thorium point :).
When I've had time to experiment with other classes I'll update my post. In the meantime, good luck with drop rate :)

I'm unable to solo him any longer after 5.2. Right now mobs literally destroy him before I even manage to break 20% of eggs. As if he got some new aggro aura on himself. He dies so fast before I can nuke the mobs one by one since I can't obviously use any AoE. Perhaps a tanking class with AoE taunt can still do it. I've given up after 5 tries today.
Just to add, before 5.2 I always destroyed all eggs without any problems whatsoever and Razorgore was still at roughly 30% hp with only few mobs beating on him, I didn't even bother killing them off him.

Mocking Banner, when placed, continues to work while you're MCing the boss, leading to an extra 30-second window relatively add-free. This provides a huge help when managing adds.

Soloed him yesterday as an 85 fury/prot warrior, though it took me several tries to figure out how to do it:
1. Switch to prot spec and put on tank gear. I had ~50% combined block/dodge/parry, 60% damage reduction from armor and ~138k health so you don't need any crazy gear.
2. Have Second Wind talent speced and be in defensive stance. The healing and damage reduction is just enough to keep me no lower than 1/3 health through all the adds. Most important: the agro from Second Wind healing is enough to keep the majority of the adds off the boss. If they pile up on him during mind control move him near your character for a bit and most will switch to you.
3. When you're about to lose mind control move him to the far side of the room. This gives you the chance to AOE adds without hitting him. Soon as he is in range of your AOEs use mind control orb again.
4. Don't hesitate to right click on his name plate (the one below yours during mind control) and dismiss him before the time is up; I did it a couple times to peel off adds and AOE.
I'll be running it again at next opportunity to confirm I wasn't just lucky.
Edit: Just did it again, messed up first time, second time went smoothly

Figured this out tonight on my 90 paladin. First tries were irritating as the mobs just killed Razorgore before the eggs were all destroyed.
The winning strategy was to use the Light's Hammer talent on cooldown. The area heals kept me alive, killed the enemies, and pulled aggro from everything so that Razorgore could work relatively unscathed. Just remember to run him to the opposite side of the room before you release to drop the hammer.

Completed on a 484 Shadowpriest and a 440 Resto Druid in 5.2. Trick for me was to keep killing the adds attacking Razorgore, breaking MC often when too many adds were making his health get low. There is a VERY small margin for error post-5.2. On the two successful attempts, Razorgore's HP was around 2% by the time I broke all the eggs.
As others have pointed out, I also think that the aggro mechanics have changed since 5.2- the adds are much more likely to attack Razorgore than you, which means you have to either taunt or gain aggro in some way, or dps the adds when you're out of MC.
Perseverance is key! Took me 3 attempts on the druid and about 7-10 on the priest!

Killed him quite easily as of 5.2, first time try at level 90 on my Warlock. Similar to the suggest way of doing it as a Mage above, I took off a few pieces of gear so that I'd take more damage, then talented Grimoir of Sacrifice so that I was regenerating health every five seconds. I also did it as Destruction so between channels of the Orb of Control I could drop a few Rain of Fires on myself and Razorgore (which in turn generated full Burning Embers so I was able to Ember Tap if I got too low on my HP between channels).
I also find that destroying eggs from the ramp with the control orb then moving to the other side of the room causes less mobs to aggro onto Razorgore, perhaps because of the fight mechanics. Any time that his channel was about to break, however, I ran him to the ramp he starts on so I'd have time to cast Rain of Fire in a couple places before he could get to the Orb and stun or conflag me and the mobs, drawing aggro onto himself.

Soloed this with my 85 blood DK. After several attempts I finally got the strategy down. I killed 2 of the 3 starting mobs and let my DOTS finish off the 3rd so I could mind control Razorgore before he got to me. Otherwise he will fireblast you and stun you and you won't be able to do anything for like 10 seconds.
I destroyed the 2 eggs on the platform I was on and then moved towards the other platform destroying eggs along the way. When mind control wears off kill the mobs attacking you and heal up with death strike then reapply mind control. You have to be quick or Razorgore will get too close to you and take a lot of AE damage.
Make sure to spread your DOTS using blood boil with Roiling Blood or with Pestilence. Then before you re-mind control Razorgore use Bone Shield and Icebound Fortitude.
It was close and I could probably fine tune the route to destroy the eggs. The channeling only broke once so a more efficient route is one way to reduce the damage he takes. I wish I could generate more healing aggro. That would really help.

Solo'd as an elemental shaman. After mind control wore off the first time, I just tossed my AOE heal on the ground and went back to MC. Then ran the boss into the healing. All the mobs broke off the boss and went to me so I could clean out the rest of the eggs without the boss dying. VICTORY! But no pet.. :(

Just solo'd it on my second attempt as a Monk. Switched to Brewmaster spec and dropped a Black Ox statue in the middle of the room. It seemed to taunt off various adds that were attacking the boss onto me. It was out of LOS when the boss was on his starting platform so I destroyed those eggs second after the eggs on my platform. Whenever I needed to taunt more adds off of him, I dropped him next to my statue and then taunted the statue (which taunts all enemies within 8 yards). The boss had roughly 30% hp when I entered phase 2.

At this point, any class can solo him as follows:
1. Activate the orb
2. Destroy half of the eggs.
3. Activate the orb again.
4. Destroy the remainder of the eggs.
5. Kill Razorgore.
Don't kill any adds, and don't use any of Razorgore's abilities except "Destroy Egg". Any delays or other things you do may lead to Razorgore's premature death.

I ran into a wierd glitch on the 5.4 PTR today with this fight. I finished the attunement orb quest on my rogue, then walked in to solo the fight. The second I stepped through the portcullis, the eggs disappeared, along with the mind control orb. Has anyone else had this problem? I soloed the raid on my druid yesterday, so it may just be a rogue glitch...

Level 90 Pally, ret spec.
After a few attempts, I finally got this right. Here's what worked for me:
Avoid
Seal of Righteousness
(or anything else) that may cause splash damage on Razorgore.
I allowed Razorgore to run closer to me while killing the first three adds (he was just at the bottom of the ramp), then MC'ed and moved him back towards his platform breaking eggs. I had finished one side of the room and his platform when MC broke.
Go AOE nuts on the mobs around you while he runs back. This ensures a nice clean click of the orb, especially if you use nameplates (I've accidentally clicked mobs before).
I did not deliberately target any mobs atacking RG.
Allow RG to get on to your platform, then MC.
Break your platform eggs, and move him back away from you.
I got them all the rest on the second MC.
Notes:
You
must
be stationary to break eggs.
Beware of latency
- you've stopped but the server doesn't yet think so. I frequently hit the button twice to get it to work. Stare at the location of the cast bar and ignore everything else.
Seconds count: if you lose time on an egg break, it may be all over. However, time it right, and you can move just before the cast finishes.
There may have been some luck with aggro - this time there seemed to be less mobs targeting RG, so he had a fair bit of health left on the last egg.
After that, it's all gravy.
Hope this helps.

I failed 5 times (not even close) and then succeeded on my first try with a shield spike. Razorgore had about 20% left, too. So I think it worked.

Did they recently nerf the adds' attack power ? I keep reading posts about how people had to heal themselves, but as a ilvl 489 Frost Death Knight I never had to worry once about my health. I guess plate armor really does make that much of a difference at lower levels ?
Anyway, it took me a few tries (including a couple of them where I had just one or two eggs left...), but I did it with absolutely no healing tricks.
1. Kill the 3 guys.
2. Control Razorgore once he gets near your platform (just be quick so he doesn't stun you because every second counts).
3. Start breaking the eggs the closest to the orb (it's the "4" key just saying), working your way progressively through the room. Most of the adds that spawn should aggro onto you, not Razorgore, at this point.
4. Keep doing this until the MC is about to automatically break. Break the MC yourself by right clicking Razorgore's pet portrait and select "Dismiss". (Apparently this is better than letting the MC break by itself according to many comments ? I didn't try any other way)
5. Now that you're back to yourself, quickly AOE most of the adds hitting you. BE CAREFUL - Razorgore is running back to attack you so don't accidentally hit him !
6. Use the control orb again (quickly before Razorgore stuns you) and don't $%^& up - CLICK IT ONLY ONCE.
7. Destroy the remaining eggs. Just have Razorgore run like hell on his stubby little legs, be quick and efficient with the Destroy Egg ability, and never look back. You can also use his "5" ability to put Dragonspawn adds to sleep - it's pretty convenient, it's instant and you don't even have to face the guy. Just make sure to be quick and not delay your precious egg destroying.

Shaman can solo Razorgore by healing him to full health with a Healing Stream Totem and/or a Healing Rain after the first MC ends. Just make sure to keep him in range of HST or in the HR.
I also recommend dropping a Magma Totem before each MC to help with add control.

I've been running BWL to get a transmog bow and had the WORST time with Razorgore. There are a ton of helpful comments here (such as remembering to dismiss your pet, which is essential for pet classes that are soloing this guy) but one thing I didn't see, and I might have just missed it is, you can TOTALLY use Exhilaration! Not only will it heal him to full as if he were your pet, it will break the MC and allow you to take care of the absolute ton of mobs you will have acquired. Kill the bulk of the ones that insist on still attacking him and repeat the process.

Razorgore the Untamed is soloable by a Paladin, but that's the only class I'm sure of. I read a comment earlier on this same topic that said something about the mechanic of the fight coming before any DPS, damage etc. This is true.
First of all, you want to make sure you can heal yourself in between controlling the orb. Even though you are (most likely) level 90, you will be taking quite a bit of damage. Nothing to worry too much about, but it is still something to watch.
Secondly, this encounter would be super easy if Razorgore didn't get attacked by other minions. Razorgore doesn't keep your health so the enemies take Razorgore down pretty fast. My tactic here is (as a Paladin) take down half the eggs on the Orb's side so that if any enemy attacks Razorgore they'll go after me instead. Then, I'll take down some of the eggs on the other side of room where mobs will begin to attack me. I have to be careful here. If I can't take down all the eggs in one run, I stop when Razorgore is at half health, when I throw down a few AoE to kill the enemies near me. Then I carefully pick off and tag the enemies that are around Razorgore, killing them all. Of course, Razorgore will run after you and mass stun you if he gets close. Basically I Divine Shield and do one of the following:
1) If you can't use the Orb while Immune (I can't remember if this is the way or not), I kite Razorgore to the other side and then run like hell with as much speed buffs as I can back to the orb, but never spam click it.
2) If it's not like that, well just use the orb and destroy the remaining eggs. Easily done.
The actual fight afterwards is super easy, shouldn't be a problem for level 85s to 90s, and even 80's will be finding him soloable after the egg mechanic.
I hope this helped all classes in trying to solo this fight. However, non-Paladins should just bring a friend to help them :).

I spent the day farming the trinkets that people had recommended and i had no joy after quite a few kills so i decided i would just head to BWL and try to have a go at soloing this for the first time the expansion.
I just killed the 3 guys by the orb and then clicked it to channel (if your class has pets make sure its dismissed) and started to kill the eggs on the platfrom at the far side of the room working my way towards the end i was with the orb. I got half way down the room in the first channel of the orb and then used rain of fire till kills adds on me and channeled again to do the other half of the eggs. I was about to do last egg when razorgore died.
I tried again and this time started at the eggs on same platform as the orb and got half way through the room when the channel finished and again i put rain of fire around me and a quick one on adds attacking razor (did not kill all of them but only left a few on him ) then channeled and did other half. The second time i noticed most the adds attacks on razor were missing him most the time (guess thats to do with my level) but i managed to get all eggs and he still had 25% hp.
I never lost more than a few % of my hp and never needed any heals or cd's.
Just just spam key 4 (only key i used the whole time) and in 2 channels of the orb you should have time to clear all the eggs.
Good luck

Just discovered today after a couple of attempts where I got to Phase 2 and then wiped anyway and couldn't figure out why... you have to let Razorgore lose agro on the disappearing adds; he will then reset to full HP and come to you. If you do not let him reset then he will "think" that he is still in Phase 1 and explode all the eggs even though they're dead.
Took me a dozen attempts to work that out when I could have killed him on #3.

Here's how I solo'd him as an Enhancement Shaman (iLvl 509):
Run in and killed the controllers, then immediately started smashing eggs on the far side of the room opposite the orb. When the adds ran in, all but one of them started attacking me immediately (didn't have to dismiss Razorgore), so I kept smashing eggs. When Razorgore had a few adds on him, I dismissed, AoE'd adds with Magma Totem and spreading Flame Shocks when I could for Fire Novas. When Razorgore got back to me, I dropped my Earth Elemental and took control of Razorgore immediately after. Be sure to recall your Magma Totem when Razorgore gets you to minimize any accidental damage against him. At this point it was pretty easy, as my Earth Elemental was grabbing most of the aggro. By the time Razorgore had a few more mobs on him, I only had two or three eggs left. Smashed them and done.
Something I might try next time is dropping the Earth Elemental in the middle of the room, and I'll see if it picks up more adds that way.

How I solo'd Razorgore on level 90 mage (I relied on Rune of Power talent):
1. Before killing anyone, take control of orb and kill eggs on platform where Razorgore starts out.
2. Dismiss Razorgore.
3. Kill as many adds as you can before Razorgore reaches platform.
4. Drop Rune of Power (HoT for 60 seconds). This causes adds to damage you, instead of Razorgore, but the damage you take is insignificant.
5. Kill eggs, starting on far side of room and working towards orb.
6. When Razorgore gets to 1/2 health, dismiss him, kill adds, then drop Rune of Power again.
7. When eggs are gone, finish off Razorgore (easy).

How to Easily Solo This as Any Class:
I did this on my 90 priest and after a few tries to work the kinks out, I am able to regularly clear this encounter alone within just a few minutes.
The keys I have found to make this encounter's mechanics a cinch is this:
1. Run in and kill controller.
2. Wait until Razorgore is walking up the stairs to you before clicking on the orb.
3. Control him and start clearing the eggs on the platform first.
4. Clear eggs starting on that end of room going back and forth as you make your way to the other platform. (When Razorgore is near to your character most, if not all, of the mobs will agro onto your character instead of Razorgore.
5. When you are about to lose control of him, dismiss, and then reclick the controller orb. (You will most likely have a giant pack of 40+ mobs on your character at this point. They barely scratched my priest so you should be just fine.)
6. Work your way to clearing all of the eggs. If you have an issue with getting too much agro in the form of other dragons, you can pause for a moment to make one of them sleep.
7. Finish clearing the eggs and kill Razorgore.
I typically end the egg portion with Razorgore having anywhere from 50-75% life still. Just be patient and methodical.

For Warlock solo in the current patch, spec into Grimoire of Sacrifice for this fight. Sac any pet, the passive heal from the sacrifice buff will keep all the adds on you and you can freely run Razorgore around killing all the eggs.
When the MC is about to wear off, run Razorgore to the back of the room (where he starts) so you don't have to worry about getting conflagged, hit Escape to cancel the MC, drop from Rain of Fires (Destruction), click the orb, repeat.
Razorgore was pretty much full health when I killed all the eggs.

Here's a tip if you're one of the classes unable to heal Razorgore and you're struggling.
You don't need to stand in front of the egg or be facing it to destroy it. The game will randomly select an egg within 6-8 yards of your current position. So every time you move, you should be moving to a spot between multiple eggs and destroying eggs until no more are in range.
This strategy doesn't guarantee success, but I've found that doing so has shaved off some valuable seconds and allowed me to get to second phase when Razorgore would've died if I had moved to each egg.

Solo'ed as a 90 Rogue, NO HEALS.
The trick is to drop threat on Razorgore so that he doesn't take a constant beating. Clear eggs until you see mobs come from the sides and head towards Razoregore. Then dismiss him(by right clicking his portrait) and kill the adds on you by the orb. Then re-channel and go back to destroying eggs. The mobs that were attacking him should be running towards you now.
Rinse, Repeat.

Basically, just grab the orb and ignore the adds completely. Start with the eggs furthest from the orb and work your way back. Once the channel runs out, again ignore the adds and click the orb. Rinse and repeat.
It did take a few tries. I think there's an element of chance involved, as on the last try very few of the adds actually attacked Razorgore.

A easy way i've found to do this solo, as a druid Lvl 90, with 2nd spec as a healer, was:
Put a wild mushroom on orb area.
Take a form of a bear or cat (I prefer bear)
Kill the mobs
Get control of Razorgore
Destroy the far eggs first
When the control ends, kill as much mobs you can, and get control again.
The mushroom acts as a agro way to the mobs. When I finished the eggs, Razorgore already had 97% of his life.

Solo advice on warrior - try using a shield with a spike (low-level spike 70-80 so as not to kill the mobs) to add extra threat. I had better luck as Fury for better AOE quick-kills between orb uses.
Mocking banner helps pull adds of Razorgore. I start controlling him on far platform, destroy eggs there, go down one stair and destroy eggs in that corner, then go back up platform and jump off front of it to lose the mobs for a second and work my way back to the orb. Use sleep button if the dragonkin are on you. Need to drop control when it runs out or too many are on you. Back in control of your warrior, whirlwind and dragon roar to clear, drop off platform and drop mocking banner, then click up on orb to regain control. By now he should be on you, so under control, clear the orb platform and race race back to any un-cleared eggs.

I tried doing this as a medium geared level 85 hunter. Didn't work out too well since I couldn't take the damage. As others have suggested you want to take the heat off razorgore so you need to be able to take the damage instead of him. To start with the mobs were hardly scratching me but by the time I had 15-20 mobs on me my health was dropping fast. I couldn't heal myself other than the small amount of healing from my herbalism lifeblood.
Since I couldn't use my pet I was vulnerable and couldn't survive long enough to get all the eggs. I'll try again after a couple of levels but for people wanting to try it at 85 you probably need pretty good gear to handle the damage.

As a prot warrior, I found it to be easiest to just unequip all gear, go into berserker stance and use the second wind talent. When the boss got too many adds on him I used mocking banner and MCed him again.
I placed the boss near me so that more of the adds would start attacking me, once the Second Wind talent kicked in, the healing threat was enough to aggro almost all of the adds, the ones that refused to attack me I killed with the boss.
To begin with I destroyed the eggs that were on the opposite side of the room, I did this until the adds spawned, after that I switched to the eggs closest to me. I placed the mocking banner when there was ~5 adds on the boss.
The goal is to get to 35% as fast as possible, this boss becomes super easy when you do.
I think this tactic should work for the other specs, but I have not tested this.

Soloing post-7.2.5:
摧毁蛋
is now instant cast, making this encounter
monumentally
easier to complete.
There is a 1.5 second CD, though, so just make sure the spell triggered before running off to the next egg. It still works better to start near the orb and circle back to the other side of the room, just to give you a chance to hurl attacks at Razorgore before he is able to disorient you.
Boss can drop a pet:
完好的蛋
which grants
狂野的雏龙
as criteria for
缰绳来袭
.
You will be unable to use the mind control orb if you have pets/minions/ghouls/elementals summoned.
At present, it's easier to circuit towards the orb and back away so that the AoE from the mobs doesn't kill the boss while you work.
You no longer need to exit the vehicle to regain control of Razorgore
- just click the orb again while controlling Razorgore and the channel will refresh. You'll also drop aggro from things attacking you.
You can stand in one spot between several eggs and be "in range" of more than one egg at a time.
I've edited the original post to reflect the newer information, though ^ pretty much sums it up. Much easier at 100, still doable at 90 (hence the edit of below instead of a full delete).
Okay, trying this during 7.1.5 and was dying and dying and dying (and dying). Decided to try some new theories here since all previous methods of "dropping aggro" weren't working for me (clicking the orb just gave me a 10s debuff and when I got Razorgore back, adds stayed on him). Hoplowe's more recent comment/strat
here
(Nov 28th) is what finally worked for me. The basic gist is that it uses the first 2-3 full channels of mind control to collect the adds that will spawn so that on subsequent mind controls you (character) should keep all the aggro off you (Razorgore). This worked basically well for me except I had one add stay on me that almost killed me as I went through the room.
Key Points:
You must dismiss any pets before being able to use the control orb.
Adds will spawn and can aggro to you on the orb, or to Razorgore. There is a maximum number of adds that will enter the room. They will respawn to this max if you kill them.
Razorgore is not a typical "vehicle" in the sense used in later expansions. To dismiss, you must right-click > dismiss from his portrait (under your portrait).
It is possible (and, in my opinion, easier) to kill Razorgore
without killing any adds
.
Boss can drop a pet:
完好的蛋
which grants
狂野的雏龙
as criteria for
缰绳来袭
Razorgore will randomly attack any egg within 6-8 yards.
TIP: That means you can stand in one spot between several eggs and be "in range" of more than one egg at a time.
When Razorgore is closer to you on the orb, adds are more likely to aggro to you (on orb) instead of him, and will sometimes swap aggro from him to you (on orb).
Classes with insta-cast HOTs are able to use them on Razorgore while he is mind-controlled. The heal will break your MC, which you can regain by selecting the control orb again. This has the chance to have Razorgore pull a lot of aggro off of you, so it might not be useful for all HOT classes.
If Razorgore dies during phase 1, you die, too.
Strategy:
Dismiss any pets/minions.
Run in and kill the 3 guys on the orb. The main controller can detect stealth.
Click the orb to gain control of Razorgore.
Start killing eggs ("4" on your action bar) closest to wherever the boss is when you gain control of him. Ignore adds.
Move between clusters of eggs in a pattern that takes you towards
the far end of the room (opposite the control orb) back through the room. As you circle back towards the control orb, some of the adds attacking the boss will swap to attack you on the orb
.
At some point in the fight, your mind control spell will reach the end of its channel and you'll re-enter your body. Kill whatever you want, but the key is to regain mind control on Razorgore asap. Player aoe can kill Razorgore if you spam it and he's too close, so be weary. If you have a
战斗号角
, this would be a great time to use it. You'll pull the adds off the boss, sparing his health. Remember, if Razorgore dies in phase 1, you die too.
Click the control orb , and keep spamming 4 to kill eggs.
When all eggs are destroyed, the adds will flee the room, Razorgore will go back to 100% health and he'll come after you. He has a pretty annoying stun, so dots/bubbles/etc. are handy.

i am on my 10th try. I have read all of this and watched you tube videos. I made it to the last egg but was too late.
I even used the captains lost leg and had 3 lvl 90 pirates fighting for me.
One thing i noticed is when the channeling expires it is hard to click the globe again , it is like it thinks too long after i click it. By then the guy is fearing me.
I need to find a way to get more aggro on me , i even use the battle horn.
I should just pay someone to help. Heck i have spent 200 on repairs so far.

*** Level 90 hunter solo guide ***
----------------------------------------------------
Razorgore the Untamed ...
The first boss and the most difficult boss to defeat in
Blackwing Lair
----------------------------------------------------
This guide is made for a HUNTER struggling to fight alone and who does not have a max strong gear (based on the idea from the youtube video which will be described in the end). I am a terrible player so you just need to pick up something you like here.
(1) Set your Talents/Level 45:
Exhilaration
- Instantly heals you for 30% and your pet for 100% of total health.
Put
Exhilaration
icon into your interface bar
where has NO NUMBER KEYS
so you can use it when you need its ability - number keys will be hidden when you start engaging with
Razorgore the Untame
. (
Note:
You need to use
Tome of the Clear Mind
to change your talent. Buy two if you want to set your ability back after this fight. You can also buy it from
Reins of the Traveler's Tundra Mammoth
if you have one).
(2)
Dismiss
your pet before or right after going into
Blackwing Lair
.
(Using the
Orb of Command
will be the shortest way if you have already accessed to Blackwing Lair before.)
(3)
<<--- The First Mind Engagement --->>
Run to the left side of the room. Go up to the alter where a green orb is and wipe three enemies there. Put a
Explosive Trap
under you, then touch the green orb to control
Razorgore the Untame
. (
Remember:
You need to touch the green orb as soon as possible because
Razorgore the Untame
is coming to attack you.)
(4) While engaging with him keep on destroying eggs by using #4 key.
(You can stand between two eggs and destroy each egg without moving.) Try to destroy all the eggs on the left half side of the room before the first buff time of engagement with
Razorgore the Untame
is expired. (Keep a little distance between you and
Razorgore the Untame
so once the mind engagement is over, it takes more time for him to come and attack you.)
(5)
<<--- The Second Mind Engagement --->>
Once the buff time is up, you will automatically come back to yourself
. Use
Disengage
to jump back and use Multi-shot to wipe up all the mobs around you. Again put a
Explosive Trap
under you and touch the green orb to control
Razorgore the Untame
as soon as possible. (If you don't touch the green orb soon enough,
Razorgore the Untame
will come to attack you.)
(6) Continue on destroying eggs by using #4 key.
Try to destroy as many eggs as possible (now you should be destroying the right side of the room) and
WATCH OUT for
Razorgore the Untame
health meter is going down FAST (quicker than the buff time of the second mind engagement is going to be over) as he is beaten by many more mobs than before.
(7)
<<--- The Third Mind Engagement --->>
Use
Exhilaration
ability to heal him back 100% before
Razorgore the Untame
health meter is reaching to zero
at the same time you will be sent back to yourself. Kill all the mobs around you. Put a
Explosive Trap
under you and touch the green orb to control
Razorgore the Untame
again. (
Remember:
Use
Exhilaration
ability before
Razorgore the Untame
dies otherwise you will die along with him.)
(8) Destroy all the eggs remaining.
This is the last chance for you to destroy all the eggs inside the room before
Razorgore the Untame
is killed by mobs. You should have an enough time to destroy all the remaining eggs (after all, you have given a chance for THREE times - normally two times - to destroy all the eggs). When the last egg is destroyed, you will be sent back to yourself. This time, all the mobs are running away from the room.
(9) Call your pet out.
Now confront
Razorgore the Untame
and defeat him as normal. (
Congratulation!
The rest of
Blackwing Lair
will not be difficult as this is and now it is all yours to continue. Have a fun!)
Recommendation:
Use a flight pass to
Iron Summit, Searing Gorge
, so you can go into
Blackrock Mountain
from the back entrance.
#Blackrock Mountain back entrance
/way Searing Gorge 35.00 84.72 Back Entrace
#The shortest way to get to the Blackwing Lair
/way Burning Steppes 23.92 32.27 Orb of Command
After Note:
I like
Blackwing Lair
the most among all other instances in the Blackrock Mountain. And I won't mind visit here every once a week because I discover a new rare item every time I visit here (and if I am a lucky I pick up an extra battle pet as well).
Finally:
I want to give a big thank to Leherp lederp who uploaded the youtube video
How to solo Razorgore as a hunter! (EASY METHOD) *5.4*
which provided this great idea to us.
Good luck hunting!

Can Blizzard please stop breaking this damn fight and fix it forever?
Remove the damn adds, or let us just kill Razorgore and move on.
The recent stat squish which halved the health of everything in the game has left Razorgore with 288k health. It was hard enough before to keep him alive because the adds insist on attacking him even when he's not mind controlled. Plus, for some reason they hit him for 3k a piece - they do
extra
damage to him, despite Blizzard's claim that they
removed
this extra damage.
In its current form, with his health halved and the damage not reduced to compensate, it's effectively impossible for certain classes. Only those with a proper heal to generate aggro from the mobs can do it.
On that note, the fact that Razorgore counts as a pet needs reworking. It's not fair to screw hunters and warlocks out of their own pet (which often factors into their self-healing - the only way they can reliably get aggro off the mobs) on an already hard fight.

Hey guys, just finished the fight after the stat squish. After a few trial and error with his new reduced health, I figured out if you kill the eggs in the back first and move up front, the enemies hit you a little, and then move to your character at the summoning stone. Must be a thing where you can take their aggro if they're close. Some will stick with you a bit, but getting rid of the back ones on the pedestal before the adds come out help prevent you having to go back there and getting less on you.
Edit: I'm a rogue too, so I couldn't have the option that most classes do. So if you're stuck like me, this seems to be the best option.

. The healing agro it generates is enough to pull off a good amount of them (usually only one or 2 remain). Every now and again i recasted it, cleared the adds in the direct vicinity of the orb and retook control.

Okay, just did this fight as a 90 hunter, but my strategy should apply to everyone. Dismissed pet, probably didn't have to (
edit: I could not click on the orb with my pet summoned. Had to dismiss pet to clicky
) and probably should have kept him there just for the healing buff, but whatever.
Don't even worry about killing the first three mobs, just jump right to the orb.
Start killing eggs near where Razorgore is located.
Move up to the orb side with Razorgore and start destroying those eggs.
Once the adds start coming,
move up to the front of the room
park your big dragon ass behind your character and the orb, as close to the wall as you can go.
, the adds should automatically aggro to your character, if not, dismiss and re-control. There are a limited amount of adds, so once the limit has been reached, they will stop coming and just sit there swinging at you.
The adds will continue to come through 2 or 3 channels of controlling Razorgore, just sit back and relax while your character takes the beating.
Kill eggs to your delight, if one or two adds are on Razorgore, don't worry, they won't hurt him enough to kill him.
Let me know if this works. Easy fight this way.

(Summon Black Ox Statue) around the middle of the room will effectively tag every enemy in the room upon spawn, and even Razorgore when mind control breaks; making this fight match every other one in the dungeon for difficulty.
Another tip with this method is if Razorgore is picking up to many adds, to walk around the Ox Statue and it will quickly taunt the add off.
I think it's safe to say this is the easiest way to solo Razorgore possible now.

Here's how I did it as a level 100 protection warrior. I believe this method should work for
every class
, with the only requirement being that you're sufficiently high level enough that the enemies' attacks will reliably miss you. If needed, put on some buffs that can help you survive a lot of punishment.
Go straight for the control orb, (killing the channeler and his aides is optional).
Once in control of Razorgore, feel free to take out some eggs until the enemies start pouring in - personally I cleared the entire platform he starts on.
As Razorgore, run over to the orb platform and hug the wall behind your character. The enemies should aggro your character and not Razorgore. Some stragglers might get confused and target Razorgore but all threat should eventually transition over to your character.
Once your mind control stops channeling, quickly use the control orb again. Don't let Razorgore get involved in fighting because his
燃烧
can be really annoying.
Wait out this second channeling in the same place as before - at this point the enemies should no longer spawn and they'll all be attacking your character.
You are now free to destroy the remaining eggs at your leisure. Don't forget to give Razorgore some breathing room before killing him to avoid any unfortunate bugs. Killing the trash enemies first before focusing on him is recommended.
No special class abilities needed
, this is the simplest method I know.

EASY WAY TO SOLO THIS FOR ANY CLASS FOR DRAENOR
Just do the normal routine of running around and destroying eggs.
When you get a crowd of aggro no matter how far you are from the orb as razorgore just right click the orb (it was fairly simple for me to click even with a large crowd around my toon) and it will refill the channel bar and drop the aggro off razorgore and they will automatically go to your toon.
and there you go.

It seems as though the damage output by adds has changed since 6.0 dropped, and many people are having trouble solo'ing this guy since MoP, despite being level 100. Razorgore simply dies too quickly to the adds.
After failing my attempts against him several times, here is the method that finally let me solo him.
(This is the most important step)
Do not use the mind control orb from on top of the elevated platform. Instead, stand as close to the middle of the room as possible, while still being in range of the orb. This way a lot more of the adds will attract to you, instead of Razorgore. Using this method, by the time I had about 8 eggs remaining, Razorgore had taken almost no damage at all.
As mentioned by other people, clear the eggs nearest the mindcontrol orb first, working your way away from it. This way near the end Razorgore wont have to take AoE damage from the adds as he clears the final eggs.
评论来自
Cierona
I read the other suggestions and just ended up dying a lot, because cancelling the channel does not make all the aggro switch to your character. Following the video in
varenne's post
worked (if you like this post please upvote that one too), although I think it would help to clarify exactly what is being done and why:
Run up to the platform with the orcs.
Position youself slightly back from the orb, so that when you end up covered in mobs you can still see it, and when they run up the stairs you are right in front of them.
Kill the orcs and activate the orb.
Bring Razorgore up onto the orb platform and destroy the eggs up there to start mobs spawning.
Move him right up against the wall behind you, and have him facing outwards (he seems to aggro a few mobs with his tail stuck out).
Don't wait for the possession to end before clicking on the orb, as it can be hard to hit when the camera jumps back to your character, and there are a lot of mobs around it. If Razorgore is not possessed he will cast stuns on you making it even harder to reactivate the orb. Luckily you can click it while the possessed Razorgore is stood anywhere in the room to restart the channel (one click restarts, you don't need to click twice to stop then restart) because your character is stood next to it and
is
in range.
Keep reactivating the orb before the possesion ends until no more mobs are arriving.
When you're sure all the mobs have arrived and are busy attacking your character run Razorgore around and destroy eggs, but keep an eye on the possess bar, and reclick the orb to refill it when needed.
Destroy the eggs furthest from you last.
When all the eggs have been destroyed AoE the mobs on top of you, then wait for razorgore to start attacking you before attacking back.
Couple more tips (I'm having no luck getting the pet off the 3rd boss, so I'm running this dungeon a lot):
If you kill any of the mobs, more will enter the room to replace them (wondered why they wouldn't stop coming with my shaman. Had lightning shield on). This method has to be the easiest because once everything is on you, you aren't dealing with any aggro issues, just reactivating the channel.
You do occasionally get one or two mobs aggroing Razorgore while he's sat at the back of the alcove. I haven't worked out what causes this, but after 3 flawless runs on my other characters my priest had a couple of mobs attacking Razorgore, one of which was a caster sitting right in the middle of the pack, so I couldn't easily click on it to target it. I had to tab-target through all the mobs until I found the one targetting him, cast an instant damage spell to kill it, then reactivate the orb before Razorgore could stun me (why we're activating the orb from max distance, so it isn't in the middle of all those mobs).

Trick for Paladins!
(and possibly other classes with instant heals)
Lay on Hands!
As soon as Razorgore gets low (~50%) get within range and use LoH. You'll break MC, but LoH will heal him before that happens and you'll grab aggro of all the mobs!
I'm assuming other instant heals would work as well.

My guide to soloing post 6.0.2 stat squish (Did it on a 100 feral druid (640), 100 combat rogue (620ish), 92 fury warrior, and 93 shadow priest). I dunno if they hotfixed him or if the above post was wrong -- but on all my attempts he had 448k health
1) Go up on the platform and grab ye olde orb.
2) Start QUICKLY killing eggs, starting with whatever eggs are nearest. You can get through a good quarter of the room by doing this.
3) When the adds come out watch Razorgore's health like a hawk. When he starts to lose oh, 10-20k health (from the last benchmark) dismiss him. MAKE SURE HE IS ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE ROOM WHEN YOU DISMISS HIM.
4) While Razorgore is running towards you regrab the orb. Maybe do a round of AoE if you have a -quick- AoE.
Repeat this OFTEN. The fight takes a while but you will get all the eggs down. It took a few wipes on my druid to get the pattern down but got it in two shots on my rogue, one shot on my warrior (though it was close -- he was down to 20k health) and 2 attempts on my priest (When I stopped trying to AoE down the adds. It wasn't necessary and it was wasting time I could spend destroying eggs. Frequent dismissals are the key. You want as much aggro on you as possible because they won't be hitting you at all hard (with my priest I AoE'd nothing and they managed to take off maybe 5% of my health at level 92 in shadowform).
Happy attempts!

Another trick for paladins! ~~
Whenever you use Righteous Fury you get the all the mobs on Razorgore.
However, make sure that you don't use it during Destroy Egg casting, because if you do,sometimes the egg gets bugged and after you destroy all other eggs,Razorgore will still suicide and take you out.

A nice trick I found doing this boss is every time you click the orb as Razorgore (you can do it from any point in the room, since the distance that matters is between the orb and your character, not Razorgore) your character gets the aggro of EVERY mob in the room. So, do this every time you want to reset the aggro. ezpz!
You don't have to dismiss, just click the orb as Razorgore and you start the mind control again AND your character gets the aggro of everyone.

Clicking the orb to reset aggro, even putting the dragons to sleep, nothing has worked so far. I've solo'ed lots of raids now including ICC and Trail of the Crusader 25 man. Should doing Wrath raids be easier than Vanilla ones? Maybe it's just me.

I have made an attempt on this multiple times using multiple classes and as of today I can no longer solo him. There seems to be a serious issue with the lack of breaking the aggro from the boss to the adds now. Prior to this I was able to solo this on almost every toon I had as the adds all dropped and came to me when I selected 'dismiss'. Now a majority of them stay on the boss and I can't get them off him and to me without the dang boss dying (and as you know that means me as well). My pally's righteous fury doesn't do it, nor any of my tank classes taunts. Something has changed....
Bring a friend and save yourself the hassle.
Once again... Blizzard, thanks for screwing up yet another part of the game by 'fixing' something that wasn't broken.

For hunters attempting to solo, if you have the talent Exhilaration, use it while Razorgore is almost dead from adds and he will gain full health because the encounter treats him as a pet while he is under your control. You will lose control by doing this but he will have full health. I found it very helpful to solo.

I would kill everything around me, drop an explosive trap and control Razorgore. Everytime I saw a big group around me, i would hit escape to let go of Razorgore, then I would multishot everything around me down and place another explosive trap.
If Razorgore got aggro, I would multishot towards him and pull whatever was on him and repear while not aiming at Razorgore directly.
He came close to dying, but I did finished it. Don't be afraid to use Razorgores Soothe Dragonkin ability to deal with a few dragonkin.

There's a lot of great information here but a lot of it isn't current.
Simply go in, kill the 3 adds at the orb. Use the orb to control him and start with the eggs furthest from the orb. Spam the kill egg command (4) and do nothing else with him.
Every other egg you click the orb, you can target it across the room. There is a 10 second debuff that'll make you fail to control him if you do it every egg but once every other egg is sufficient. This will cause all the adds to attack you, at level 100 they don't do damage to you.
Keep all of this up until you get up to the orb platform and kill the last egg. The adds run away and you lose control of him. At this point DO NOT kill him immediately as he'll still "take you with him". Just white damage him or use slower killing spells and try not to kill him within 10 seconds.
So far this has worked on all of my alts and made this a breeze, yes he isn't a one shot boss like everything else but if you just stick to the mechanic you'll have him dead within 2 minutes.

After watching old solo videos before WOD because there seemed to not be any for this expansion, just Cata and MOP, I read this forum section and read some disgustingly long detailed boring explanation that made me want to say f' it, i'll forget this transmog but took a little bit from Cierona's post and made it simpler:
Run up to the orb platform.
Kill 3 guys.
Use orb to possess Razorgore.
Start by clearing the eggs on the platform where Razorgore starts.
After NPCs start spawning and 3 are aggrod on you, run to the orb platform and stand against the back wall and dismiss him.
Just an fyi, there is no longer a dismiss button for Razorgore; you have to right click his portrait and click on dismiss.
Let mobs aggro on you for about 2 seconds then reclick the orb to possesss Razorgore again.
Continue clearing the room on one side gradually and when you get aggrod by 3 or 4 NPCs run him back to the wall like earlier and dismiss him.
As more NPCs spawn and aggro onto your actual character, it appears that their spawn rate does slow down slightly making it a little easier.
Rinse.
Repeat until all eggs destroyed.
Took me 8 miserably failed tries this morning but finished with half Razorgore's life left after doing it this way the first time.

With the recent stat-squish changes, and having leveled to 100, I found that I had to adjust tactics slightly.
I used to be able to simply run around destroying eggs starting at the rightmost one as you enter the room and working my way back to the orb while every so often, dismiss and let mobs aggro me. This used to work flawlessly.
However, after having wiped no less than 6 times on this today, due to the fact that mobs didn't aggro my character anymore (they even kept attacking RG after I had dismissed), I tried a different approach than earlier.
This is a tactic I found to work better.
First MC:
Destroy as many eggs you can at the furthermost platform from the orb.
Second MC:
As adds spawn, run to where the orb is and destroy eggs around there. I found that the adds aggro you more then.
Third MC:
Destroy the eggs in the middle, dismissing and re-controlling RG if adds should overwhelm him.

As of patch 6.1 this encounter is really easy to solo, as long as you follow the mechanics.
One in particular is the fact that in this encounter, as mentioned in other comments, there can only be 40 adds up at a time and you can use this to your advantage:
As soon as you kill the 3 orcs and MC the boss destroy both eggs near the orb and move the boss towards the wall behind the orb until you can only see his tail/wings... Now wait until all the 40 adds are up (takes about 2 to 3 minutes, usually) then after you get aggro on all of them on your toon start killing the remaining eggs with the MC'd boss.
Of course, don't forget to MC him again by clicking the orb when the timer is about to expire. Since there will be 40 adds on top of you, try to MC him again when there's still around 20 seconds remaining on the MC in case it takes a bit long for you to manage to click the orb. By following this you usually never need to worry about the adds attacking him.
Just one thing to watch out for: When you kill the last egg the adds will run away and the boss will start attacking you, but in one of my killings the last egg was the one to the left of the orb and as soon as I destroyed the egg I killed the boss (around 1-2 seconds timeframe between both) this caused the encounter not to counter as being done properly and the room still exploded as if there was still eggs on it. On the next try I waited ~5 seconds after the adds ran away to finally attack the boss and I managed to kill it successfully! This is most likely a bug, so just wait a bit before finishing him up and you should be good.
Did this as an 670 Hunter and by the end of it my health had dropped only to 99,1% so its doable with a much low ilvl than that.

As of the current patch of this posting Razorgore and the entire raid can be soloed by a level 70 BM Hunter as I have just done.
I didn't record video or I'd link to it, but it can still be done.

After wiping numerous times, I figured out through a comment that re clicking the orb will drop all aggro from Razorgore, and place back on the character. This also resets the MC timer.
I completed all of the eggs through this method without killing any adds. I am a level 100 ret paladin at ilvl 650, and my health got down to 70%.

To sum up the best advice on this page, just re-click the orb when too many adds get on Razorgore. This will cause them to drop aggro on the boss and come after you. You can target and click it from anywhere in the room.

As Ret Pally I was able to solo this by dismissing him when adds started attacking him then cast Lights Hammer at my feet and click the orb again. I did this rotation about 3 times before all eggs were dead. Be sure to wait for ALL adds to leave the room before killing Razorgore or it will still be in first phase and you will explode.
p.s. Also be sure he is all the way on the other side of the room before casting Lights Hammer, because it will one shot him and then game over.

If you kill the boss prior to breaking all the eggs, you die. If you have an instance cast HoT/heal, move the boss close to you while it is still under your control, then cast your HoT/heal on the boss, breaking the MC, but healing the boss. Don't bother killing adds, just wait your time until you can reclick the orb, and continue to break eggs.

All you need to do to solo it is to keep clicking on the orb again before it falls off, do not "exit" the vehicle that is the dragon you are controlling. When you click the orb it seems the dragon drops aggro and you get the aggro again. There is no need to hide the dragon away in a corner.

Too much old, worthless info. Here is truly THE only thing that has ever worked for me, and has worked EVERY time flawlessly as of April 8, 2015. I will be very detailed just so that there is no question, but once you do this, you'll see how easy it is:
Kill the mobs around the orb.
Jump down to the floor below and click the orb from max range. Face outwards.
Walk Razorgore over to you, and first destroy the egg in front of your toon, then the two eggs up on the platform with the orb.
Then, move Razorgore to the back of the platform, turn around and back him into the wall, tail first as far as you can go, so that he is facing outwards towards the orb. You will not be able to see your toon, but if you cleared the 2 eggs on the platform, you will be able to see the orb, and also beyond it, you can see the mobs spawning from the other side of the room, running towards the platform.
Wait a while... until all ~40 mobs spawn. If you did this all correctly so far, you will observe how all mobs run up to the platform and up to the orb, but they then turn around, walk down to the floor, and attack your toon instead. This is because your toon is closest aggro.
This is critical to success: Before the timer expires, say, with about 5 sec left,
reclick the orb while it is still channeling
, but also
only click it only once
every time you are recasting the mind control. Reclicking the orb as it is still channeling instantly starts the timer over, and Razorgore will not move at all since he is only released for just a microsecond. If you don't do this, Razorgore being free even 1 second can allow him to move close enough to draw aggro from the mobs running up to the orb before they can aggro on you. Clicking the orb just once to re-channel is also important because it has a cooldown of about 8 seconds. So if you spam click it out of paranoia, you'll incur the cooldown, Razorgore will walk down the platform and you lose.
After a while, you'll see that no more mobs are spawning and they are all attacking you. Any level 100 will easily auto-regen the damage they do. You are now free to take Razorgore around the room and destroy all the eggs. First, destroy the eggs at the other side of the room, and then work your way to the ones closest to your toon last, to avoid any aggro. As with #6, always reclick the orb
before
the timer expires so that you retain constant control. Remember, it doesn't matter how far Razorgore is from the orb. Your toon is always right by it, so you can reclick the orb from anywhere in the room you are playing with Razorgore.
After all eggs are destroyed, the mobs will start to run away. Do NOT attack Razorgore yet. Wait until the mobs are gone, and then mouseover the orb. If the orb is NOT clickable anymore, then the egg event has completed and you can now 1-shot Razorgore with your most furious graphics-card shattering attack.
EDIT: This strat works due to two key aspects of this encounter:
a) There are a limited number of mobs that can be active at one time - about 40
b) If they are not attacked, the mobs aggro the nearest creature and stay there until something else comes closer

I just did it on 6.1 and read through these comments for help, only to find out that none of them work since Razorgore is a weakling who takes damage like crazy. Instead I used another tactic where I ran around to the eggs and when I got 4+ mobs on razorgore I reclicked the orb across the room to get aggro to me. And since I was level 100 I took 0 damage from them. Razorgore will survive, he had 50-ish % left when I was done with the orbs.
Definitely the easiest tactic as none of the others seem to work in 6.1.

MC again
When it had under 200k health I brought it at casting range and casted

I spammed

Kept doing this until all eggs were broken.
HoTs and other Instant cast spell may heal it as it is still you pet for a short time after MC is broken.

OK - through trial and error I put the somewhat confusing variety of instructions below to work. Because I'm an idiot, it took me a while to learn the following:
When I have control over Razorgore, most if not all of the aggro is directed towards my toon on the stand. Depending on how much damage you can take, you only have to return control from Razorgore back to your toon when the timer times out or when your health gets dangerously low, whichever comes first.
Heal yourself if necessary after control returns to your toon, then quickly use the orb to get control over Razorgore again and resume angrily destroying your precious eggs.
I kept trying to get all fancy, but, no, it turns out that Razorgore can just get right on down to the egg-destroyin' business while you monitor your own toon's health as all of the orcs and dragonkin from the immediate Tri-State area pounds on it up there on the stand.
I'm a 78-level somewhat twinked Ret Pally, so I had to do one Lay On Hands heal halfway through and then some "whew, in the nick of time" flash heals after Razorgore destroyed the last egg, and then it was just a matter of being able to hit Razorgore in-between bouts of the confusion spell or what annoying thing is used.
There you go; you're fine if you have access at least one large, fast heal. If you're a high enough level you don't need that.

I have made a video regarding this encounter - I've tested out most of the tactics on this page and found that the simplest way for me to deal with Razorgore is to dismiss him after he gets aggro from ads.
From what i found, the key element is not to stress out when there's a lot of ads on Razorgore, but just simply to take it easy and repeatedly dismiss and control him until you get the ads to aggro the player.
Check out the video here if you have problems with the encounter:

It's important to start destroying the eggs closest to the orb and then moving towards the other side. This allows you to keep as greatest distance from you and Razorgore as possible, allowing you to AoE down the adds without accidentally killing Razorgore. You have to use AoE everytime you let go of MC or the entire crowd of adds will obscure the orb and you'll never be able to re-click it.
Took me three times to master the strategy properly. I finished all eggs with Razorgore at 5% HP.
Good luck!

lvl 90 BM Hunter, been struggling trying to solo this jerk for my Battle Pet cheev, but finally found the right combo of strats in case anyone else is still scratching their head:
1. do not have a pet with you, first of all. Easy peasy.
2. Click the orb while you're on the floor, in front of the platform. This is because you'll need to click it to channel again and, like others have said, that's impossible to do when you have every single add in the encounter piled on top of you/it.
3. On the first channel of Razorgore, destroy the eggs on the ground closest to the platform. The first four or five. This will ensure that you've cleared out a good aggro-free area around the eventual mob of adds.
4. Go up onto the orb platform, destroy that egg, hug the wall sideways so you're mostly clipping into it, and WAIT.
5. Wait through the end of the first channel, click the orb again, wait through the end of the second channel. Your toon can take it if you're decent level/gear enough to solo anything in old world raiding, so no worries whatsoever.
5 1/2. When Razorgore gets the inevitable three/four adds aggroed to him up on the platform while half-clipped into the wall, you're far enough from the action to Cleave them down without pulling more.
6. After the second channel is totally finished, that's it. You're done with adds. They've all spawned and they should all be pounding on your toon. Click the orb again.
7. Come down off the platform making a pretty wide circle around the adds that are concentrated under the platform, and start egg-destroying.
8. The rest is self-explanatory. Should only take a channel and a half to get all of 'em, tops. Razorgore will still have most of his health and then finishing the encounter is just a spank away!
Have fun cheev/mog hunting!

Warlocks:
Take off Demonic Servitude and cast Infernal after the first cast of the orb finishes. He'll be able to kill enough of them that they get off of Razorgore and don't murder him.
It's worked for me every time I've tried.
(PS: You have to "dismiss" Razorgore like you would your imp or voidwalker or what have you if you want to get out of orb control, not use the button.)

For those of you completing this
SOLO:
This method works for
all
classes without issue (I have done this on Warrior, Druid, Rogue, Mage, Hunter, and Shaman)
1. When a mob has aggro/begins to attack Razorgore, click orb ONCE while STILL controlling Razorgore (NOTE: this can be done anywhere inside the room!). This will refresh your channeling, but also allows you to drop aggro.
2. Once mob drops aggro from Razorgore, continue using "Destroy Egg".
3. Use "Calm Dragonkin" if a dragonkin does not leave Razorgore immediately.
4. Once last egg is destroyed, you will leave Razorgore. Kill him for phat BWL lootz!
You will be able to wipe the whole room without leaving Razorgore. I have never failed using this method.
NOTE:
If you accidently hit the orb twice while controlling Razorgore, you will return to your character. You will have to wait 10 seconds before you can hit the orb again. Just AoE down the mobs at the orb, then take control of Razorgore again.

Here is by far the very easiest way to do this boss solo by any class - no more silly mechanics:
1. Kill the 3 guys at the orb and then use the orb to mind control (MC) Razoregore
2. Bring Razorgore onto your platform and get him to kill the two eggs there.
3. Park Razorgore at the back of the curved wall on your platform - at the very back so his head is buried in the wall.
4. Mobs will start spawning, but they will run to you, not Razorgore
5. Let the mobs pile up on you - at 100 they will all miss you anyway - and when MC runs out re-MC immediately but do not kill any of the mobs. (
this is the only "tricky part" due to the game camera shifting point of view from Razorgore to yourself when MC channeling ends. However, don't panic, you will have a second or two to click again on the orb and re-establish MC. If you wait too long, Razorgore will enter the pile of mobs on you and the risk is one of them will attack him too.
)
6. The mob spawns have a limit and you will see that no more run out after a while.
7. When no more mobs are running out - but are still piled on you at the orb - walk Razorgore around and kill the eggs. The mobs won't touch him.
8. You won't be able to kill all the eggs in one MC so when the MC runs out, make sure Razorgore is at the opposite end of the room and then re-MC.
9. When the last egg is killed, the mobs will vanish/run out of room and you can fight Razorgore.
NOTE: do not kill any of the mobs or they start re-spawning and will attack Razoregore.
It took me about 15 attempts following all the other advice methods here and then by chance I read about this method on battlenet forums. It works like a charm - until Blizzard nerf it I guess. After that every other boss/mob in BWL is very easy to solo.

When the mobs go on Razorgore, simply click the MC orb and the mobs go to your character instead of Razorgore, just repeat this.

Solo Completion:
0) Send any pets away.
1) Kill the three mobs and click the orb
2) Kill all the eggs (Hotkey = 4) - never use any other skills.
3) Get rid of attacking mobs / aggro by clicking the orb. You are able to "range-click" the orb when you control Razorgore.
4) After killing all of the eggs, wait until all mobs have despawned. Do not immediately kill Razorgore, this can result in resetting the encounter.
5) Kill Razorgore and do not forget to loot.

Running Blackwing Lair has become a routine for me because it is one of the vanilla dungeons/raids left untouched by Cataclysm level scaling and subsequent item removal.
Blackwing Lair is the only way to get most dragonscales anymore, especially
黑龙鳞片
, which some choose to make some nice transmog items with. This scarcity of scales is because Upper Blackrock Spire's black dragons were removed, and most remaining dragons in Azeroth have had their levels altered so that they no can longer drop scales adequately.
The pets in this raid are also good for collecting, pet battles, and selling.
Lastly, Nefarian drops some incredible recipes, and not too uncommonly either. I have had a huge variety of these loot-list items drop, and they are even more difficult to come by in the world anymore because of aforementioned level scaling. He can also drop
欺诈宝珠
, which have upped in value since they became a toy.

The biggest issue I've seen people have is getting past the first boss. It definitely is a strategy one needs to get accustomed to. Here are my tips for soloing:
1.) Grab the orb to start, take out all the eggs and make your way slowly to your character
2.) When you get a dragonkin on you, lull it to sleep with spell "5"
3.) Let go of the boss with escape or the red arrow and AoE the mobs around you. And depending on your character, throw a HoT on yourself. That will help aggro stay on you
4.) Don't let go of Razorgore near the end. The aggro shift won't do much after you've gotten to a certain point
5.)
DO NOT
attack him until he heals himself. If you do, he will reset and kill everybody.
I hope this helps. Good luck farming!

Easily soloable by this:
1. Position self on platform close to middle of room
2. Mind control him and immediately clear eggs on his platform
3. Run on platform with orb before first adds spawn
4. Adds will aggro your character so you can clear eggs around your character
5. Clear eggs under platform and when mind control is about to expire run to middle of room
6. With Razorgore in middle, cancel mind control, cast ONE AOE spell and immediately mind control him again
7. Return to your character and continue clearing eggs
8. Anytime you have 4-5+ mobs on Razorgore, bring him to middle of room, so your aoe will not hit him
9. Cancel mind control, cast aoe and immediately mind control him
It looks like hitting adds with aoe, in my case
Arcane Explosion
, and mind controling him takes all aggro and adds from him.

Stand at the bottom of the platform of the orb.
Not sure if this is important but it makes it easier to agro adds
.
Click the orb from the bottom of the platform to control Razorgore.
While controlling Razorgore click '4' to destroy all the eggs.
IMPORTANT: The key is to position your camera to see the orb at all times. You can click the orb as Razorgore from anywhere in the room. When you get a few adds or your channel is low click the orb. You should lose all agro on Razoregore.

The mobs can't even hurt the statue, I finished this with Razorgore at 80% and my statue had a small army on him and he never left 100%.

Has anyone else noticed that now in Legion pre-patch (7.0.3), Razorgore mechanics have changed so it's to me at least not soloable anymore? I used to go up against the wall on the platform were the orb is, let my toon take all mobs and just refresh the control orb until all mobs were out and attacking my toon.
Now however, clicking the orb to refresh the control, instead turns off the control and then it takes a few seconds before i can click it again to regain control of Razorgore at which point he is already among the mobs getting hurt. :(

Still soloable in 7.0.3 - but it's now down more to luck. Threat doesn't drop properly, but as long as you do the tricks of standing far from the orb on the lower floor. You may get a little lucky with aggro. Still took me 8 tries.

As of 7.0.3 Mind Control cancels after destroying one egg until adds spawn. I'm unsure if this is intentional or not.
See below video on how to mitigate this as Razorgore might not live long enough to destroy all of the eggs.

Just solo'd this as a holy priest(7/24). As stated in earlier posts, the easiest way to solo this is to mc Razorgore and have him stand at the back of the platform the MC orb is on. Have your toon grab all of the agro from the mobs. And then go about your business destroying eggs.
So long as you can do some passive agro generation, you will be able to drag all mobs onto yourself. Also I do not remember being able to click on the mc orb, before Razorgore dropped mc to be able to refresh it, I always waited till it dropped and then just clicked on the orb to regain mc .
The runningback- I did not have any problems of the mc dropping after I destroy any eggs. But I only destroyed like 2 eggs before the adds started to spawn.

Easy way to solo at 100:
1. Kill the three guys next to the control orb
2. Take control of Razorgore and make your way to the platform your character is on - do NOT destroy any of the eggs on the way
3. Destroy the two eggs on the platform your character is standing on
4. After destroying those eggs, quickly get as far into the back of the wall as you can with him on that platform, like full on wall clipping
5.
Tilt the camera until you have a top down view
- this will make the next step SO MUCH EASIER, because the camera angle stays the same between your character and Razorgore. It's way faster and easier to find the control orb within the sea of mobs that spawn when you're looking directly down rather than from the side
6. Take control of Razorgore and let the mind control spell channel complete at least four times. This will draw out all the mobs that spawn and concentrate them around your character. You have a second or two to click the orb and restart the mind control before Razorgore is in aggro range of the mobs. Be sure to move him back to the back after each channel.
7. After four complete channels, all the mobs should have spawned. On the fifth channel, take Razorgore around them and begin destroying eggs, but keep an eye on the duration of the spell
8. Before the channel runs out, be sure to tilt the camera directly overhead to take over again faster, then keep destroying eggs as Razorgore
9. Once all the eggs are destroyed, run around the room and wait for all the spawned mobs to vanish before one-shotting Razorgore, or there's a chance he'll despawn IIRC
10. Despair that that mog you wanted hasn't dropped
- There's a hard limit of how many mobs get spawned, but they spawn to replace each other on death.
Don't kill any spawning mobs
, it's a pointless exercise and they don't even drop loot
- One or two mobs following you is fine, you'll kill all the eggs long before they kill you. More than four, consider forcing a wipe rather than suffer through dying as you walk to the last egg
- If you screw up, it takes about a minute or two for the eggs and Razorgore to respawn
- Keep calm; the most difficult part of this whole thing is finding the control orb when you're surrounded by 40-ish angry enemies. Once you have a grip on the timing you'll be just fine

7.03 Easy way ever.
1) Kill the 3 mobs on the platform
then jump down
and activate the orb from downstairs.
2) Destroy
7 eggs around
(special button) your character
THEN kill the 2 eggs on the platform
don't aggro any mobs in boss form.
3)Get the
boss head
into the
wall
alcove on the plaform where there is the orb AND WAIT about 2 mindcontrols (MC)
until mobs stop spwaning
.
3.1) don't aggro any mobs ,
3.2)after each mindcontrol
click the orb ASAP
and get the boss at the same position very fast so he doesn't aggro mobs.
4)
Start killing all eggs
: if the Mindcontrol end be sure to get the boss very far from mobs so you retake MC with no aggro from boss.
(Killing 7 eggs at the start is easy because mobs don't spawn in this time frame)

Solo any class 7.0.3 easiest and fastest way
1. Go to the mindcontrolling orb from underneath the platform and click it.
2. When you get control of Razor, start destroying eggs immediately at the opposite platform.
3. Continue destroying eggs near the walls (where adds spawn).
4. When you get too many mobs on Razor and you notice him dropping HP fast, right-click razor's icon, dismiss him and mindcontrol after 3-4 seconds to make him lose aggro.
I finished all eggs with 60% hp left on razor, pretty calm. Good luck!

This is incredibly simple if you know one trick:
you can click the orb of control while controlling Razorgore from anywhere in the room.
Pan your camera so you can see the orb, if Razorgore gets aggro on anything, click the orb. It'll drop aggro onto your character and you can go back to destroying eggs.

Not sure what people saying the orb thing is tricky or doesn't work are talking about. Solo'd this just now on my 108 outlaw rogue, it's pretty much impossible to not solo this unless you go and purposefully 1-shot Razorgore.
-Take control of Razorgore
-I worked from left (my platform with the orb) to right, clearing the outside edges then in the middle
-If you get aggro on Razor, click the orb from a distance and everything drops off. Just make sure not to try and click it again before the 7 second debuff has elapsed.

In short my strategy is to kill the orb mobs, stand under the platform, and reset his aggro by clicking the orb while still channeling the mind-control orb. Using this strategy, Razorgore's health should never get to lower than 70-90% HP, and is one of the easiest bosses in BWL rather than the hardest. I hope this will help those who have a problem with this boss and needed to see a quick and easy understandable guide.

The encounter seems to have changed a bit: some adds will not fall off Razorgore, and when you click on the MC orb, it sometimes removes the MC and while you try to reclick it, Razorgore will continue to attack the adds remaining on him, gaining aggro and losing health.

This appears impossible for Fire Mages to solo now, as of Legion.
1. Razorgore continously gets aggro even when not MC'd.
2. Ignite passively spreads, which kills him.
The issue I'm having is that I'll MC him, clear about half the eggs, then clear the adds. However, I CANNOT AoE anything even remotely near him. I have to stand there casting scorch over and over, and at that point mobs are spawning faster than I can cast, and aggroing onto Razorgore instead of me. It's extremely frustrating, because 90% of the time if I try anything to kill the adds I'll accidentally kill Razorgore, too.

After struggling with the back-of-the-wall method that worked in 7.0.3, I had much better luck when I simply ran up to the orb (from below) and grabbed control instantly, without bothering to kill the three adds there. Thereafter, re-clicking the orb to refresh the MC worked consistently; mobs would instantly drop off Razorgore and attack me. Possibly just coincidence, but I'll try it again next week and see.

Tried to solo as a Ret and i got wrecked but when i switched to Prot the adds seems to race towards me instead of Razorgore which meant i could kill all the eggs with ease.
Not sure if tanks have some aura that makes adds instinctively run to them cause it sure as hell helped!

So my old comment's had a few people saying it didn't work and I've since refined my method so I figured I'd post an updated version. Literally just finished soloing this guy, his body hasn't even despawned yet.
1. Kill the three mobs by the orb. (edit, or don't. Your choice. I do it out of habit)
2. Click the orb, taking control of Razorgore.
3. Take Razorgore across the room to the platform your character is on with the orb. Attack only the two eggs that are on this platform with you.
Do not attack any eggs on the way there.
4. Park Razorgore so close to the wall at the back of that platform that he clips through it.
5. When the timer runs out the first time, quickly leap off the platform. You can still reach the orb, so click on it again and put Razorgore back in the wall. This drags the mobs who've spawned down with you and away from Razorgore.
6. After two/three full channels, all the mobs that are going to spawn should have spawned.
Do not attack them at all, as yourself or as Razorgore.
7. Start destroying eggs, reclicking the control orb as needed.
8. When all the eggs are destroyed, allow all the spawned mobs to leave the room before engaging Razorgore, because IIRC there's a chance his kill will not count if you kill him before the final phase of the encounter officially starts on their exit.
9. Collect your loot, dying a little inside as the mog you wanted didn't drop again.
You should only kill a few things in this room - the three mobs at the start possibly and Razorgore. There is
no
point in killing the summoned mobs and if you're 110 you have literally nothing to worry about. You'll just summon more.
Doing this method, half-assed as I was on youtube in the other window, I ended up with only a single mage following me around, which left me at a comfortable 75% HP on Razorgore. Practicing this method - especially the jump - might give you more. Save yourself time and force a wipe at three by attacking Razorgore.
If you screw up, it takes about a minute for everything to respawn.
Once again -
DO NOT KILL THE SUMMONED MOBS.

To solo this
1.Kill the adds around the orb
2.
Jump down
from the balcony
3. Use the orb
Now whnever you get adds on Razorgore reuse the orb and the adds will atk you char, and cos of step 2 all the adds will be down and wont obstruct the orb :)

For any class to solo with ease, you can reclick the Orb of Domination
from anywhere in the room
once you control Razorgore, removing aggro from him. Simply watch your 10s debuff.
评论来自
Dawnrider
This is no longer easy to do with 7.1.5. About half way through you have to click the orb pretty much right when your debuff wears off, you get 2 maybe 3 eggs per click. He doesn't drop full aggro on the adds, and if you don't to it so often he will die before all the eggs do.

It takes advantage of placement and spawn cap. I just tried it and walked around with zero aggro destroying eggs!

It was
incredibly
easy to do this today (2 April 2017). I was playing my 110 Arcane Mage, but class and spec don't matter. Just kill the adds on the platform near the orb, jump down from the platform, click on the orb to control Razorgore, and start destroying eggs. Eventually, adds will start attacking him, but all you have to do is click on the orb again (and
you can do this from anywhere in the room, without losing control of the boss
). This transfers aggro back to you. Continue destroying eggs. Rinse and repeat as necessary.

I often wonder why people continuously write comments along the lines of "it was easy to solo for my level 110 mage".
Of course it's easy to solo a Tier 2 raid! You're freakin' level 110! No strategy needed...
I'm trying to do this as a level 70 Warlock and it was very easy to kill Razorgore and then get killed myself. Why? Because I had my demon pet active and that makes it impossible to complete this task. There are approximately one gazillion comments about how easily a level 110 character can solo Blackwing Lair and only one comment (way down the bottom, thanks ipic909) about the pet problem. So:
Hunters and Warlocks
: you need to dismiss your pets in order to kill Razorgore.

Solo at 7.1.5
Getting tired of dying I searched for an other way and found this video = fail safe
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fnUd6aAgTHs
As he says, wait till all adds has spawned. I didn't count them but wowwiki says it's 52 in all.
When I had destroyed all eggs Razorgore was at 71%. (Edit: bad rng with mobs can make it a close call)
If you want to break the mc (to have control of when it happens), don't click the orb. Do /dance or so, in that way you don't get the debuff and can retake control immediately.
If it's hard to see the orb, take the mobs name plates away.

Here's how I do it.
Kill the mobs on the platform.
Click on the orb.
Control Razorgore and destroy the eggs.
When Razorgore's health gets low move him next to your character.
Target Razorgore and use a bandage on him. This breaks your control of Razorgore.
He will be healed and agro goes to you.
Click on the orb again to control Razorgore and destroy eggs.
If you're a class with a HoT then you won't need the bandage.

Ok hunters if you want to solo this with absolutely no problem and no hassle with reading all these previous instructions I have the perfect, easiest solo out there. I just did it. Go up to the orb. kill the 3 ads there then click the orb. soon as you have razorgore hit play dead. save the eggs and then kill razorgore. I finally tried this after dying 25 million times! It worked first time like a charm. He doesn't take any damage.

Just did the encounter. Looks like there was a stealth change in today's patch (7.2.5) that made

an instant cast spell now, not a 3 second cast. Makes the encounter absurdly easier to solo. Yay for stealth quality of life changes! =D

As of a recent patch, Razorgore can now instantly destroy eggs. This makes it unbelievably easier to solo, no guide needed. Just wanted to let people know.

The difficulty of destroying the eggs was nerfed into the ground.
Up to this patch (7.2.5), you had to really quickly destroy all eggs. Now you can just kill them in the first control phase, with time to spare. Extremely easy now.

They Finally made Razorgore's Destroy Egg spell instant cast. This is now finally really easy to solo and it ONLY took 6 xpacs for Blizzard to do it.

As of patch 7.2.5, Razorgore's "Destroy Egg" ability is an instant cast. You can solo this quickly now, destroying all the eggs in less than a minute. I did still follow the strat of jumping down from the platform before clicking the orb, just to keep all the mobs in a neat pile, but I didn't need to kill any of them as the eggs were gone within one round of MC. Much easier!
评论来自
Foxpaw
I believe this fight has been patched in 7.2.5 to be
dramatically
simpler, with just one tiny change; Destroy Egg is now instant cast instead of a 3 second cast, meaning not only is the cooldown half of what it effectively was when it was a 3 second cast time, but it can also be used while moving, and I believe will even destroy multiple eggs if they're closely grouped. I'd been using the 'jump down and click then run him into the wall' method but this week, found that now it's no longer necessary. You can clear 70% or so of the eggs before the adds even spawn and destroy the rest of them before they do close to lethal damage to him.

Patch 7.2.5 changed his 'Destroy Egg' ability to be instant cast which trivialises the encounter.

I tryed to solo this dungeon this morning and the Orb of Domination is clickable but does not click. This is now bugged and you can not run the dungeon. Did this on a 110 DK.
There is a bug in the encounter now. you can not kill the 3 guys controlling razorgore. you need to just use the orb and let them aggro on you. then the encounter works.

I had no "Exit Vehicle" button anywhere on my user interface. I just ran around and randomly popped out of control, so I just clicked the orb again after Razorgore killed the mobs stalking him. Once I stopped accidentally killing him with my AoE, this was actually simple. Destroy all eggs and you enter phase 2 and 1-hit him. Should only need 1 control reset. According to other posts, you don't even need to exit vehicle, nor need to be near the orb anymore.

I need some help with this one...I'm hoping it's just a instance bug.
I can't destroy any eggs with my player, and when I'm MCing RG he can't destroy any of them either I don't know what to click in order to initiate the Destroy Egg function.
Will he destroy eggs automatically if I just point him at them? Do I have to destroy them one at a time?
Thanks

I just ran the raid and during the Razorgore encounter, I noticed there is no longer a cast time on the destroy egg. I destroyed every egg with a third of the mc channel bar left and only 1 group of adds spawning. Laughably easy now.

Just Solo'd this as a 110 Destruction Warlock - it was extremely easy as of 7.3.2.
*Make sure all pets are dismissed.
Enter and kill the controller on the platform to the left.
Click the orb, you become mind controlled & control Razorgore.
Just go around destroying ALL of the eggs in the room - i just went to each egg and pressed 4.
(I didn't worry about adds, as I had plenty of health.)
Once all the eggs are destroyed - you can kill the boss.
:)

So they took the time to make the boss go faster but they haven't taken the time to fix the boss bugging out if you kill it before the eggs are done? This is ridiculous! THEY KNOW this is a bug. This has been a bug for I don't know how long! You mean to tell me they can't put a fix on this boss to PROPERLY reset if the encounter wipes you? Give me a break.

I was just able to burn all the eggs in one go, didn't have to release Razorgore once. They sped up the cooldown on the burn egg ability.

Ok here are too many walk throughs on here that take forever to explain.
LET'S SIMPLIFY THIS
1, Kill the controller
2, click the orb and take Possession Razorgore
3, Start at the back of the room and use your kill egg ability working your way to the front of the room (you can keep running non stop as ability now insta-cast instead of 3 sec timer).
4, Kill Razorgore
5, Get LOOT
You don't need to leave boss and nuke adds and reposses, it is easy enough to just run your little ass off, nuke eggs, nuke boss and collect LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOTZ for X-MOGG

As of 8.0 this encounter is once again broken unless you are VERY careful once you have finished clearing the eggs. I suggest you clear all the eggs:
On the platform with the control orb
In a line towards the far platform
On the far platform
Working in a zig-zag from the far platform back to the control orb
Make sure you leave at least 10 seconds between releasing the mind control and killing Grethok the Controller or you will find him and you both dead and the gate still locked. You will have been saved to the instance
and will have to wait until reset to try again
. Exit the the raid, wait for a soft reset (not sure how long as I went AFK to do some RL stuff for 15+ minutes). He should have respawned.
As other posters have noted, if you have a pet, dismiss it before you start this encounter.

FaeTheWanderer
Very Important Note For Any Class With a Pet:
You must dismiss your pet before clicking the Orb of Domination to take control over Razorgore. If you have a pet out, the orb will appear clickable but will do nothing, allowing extra mobs to spawn in and start killing him before you get a chance to crack open those sweet, sweet eggs. The mobs die so easily at 120 that you can one-shot them with nearly any damaging ability anyway!
After this fight feel free to summon in your best battle buddy to merrily trounce the rest of the raid!

Just an FYI...if you don't know this fight and you go in and 1-shot Razorgore, you will get 1-shot as well, and be unable to re-enter the encounter for about 10 minutes. If you leave the dungeon, you will get an encounter in progress error when you try to go back in. Once the 10 minutes has passed, you'll be able to get back in.
