Several world bosses have appeared to celebrate
World of Warcraft's 18th Anniversary
! Defeating Lord Kazzak, Azuregos, and each day's Dragon of Nightmare will award rare cosmetic loot, while Doomwalker also drops a unique mount and toy!

Each of the bosses drop item level 272 loot, many of which are iconic items from their respective expansions and feature semi-unique appearances, making them sought after by collectors even more so than for catch-up gear.

was a monstrous Fel Reaver originally sent by Kil'jaeden to assault the gates of the Black Temple in Shadowmoon Valley.

Doomwalker's most important drops are the

, both of which have a 100% drop rate. In previous years, players were required to be level 30 in order to loot them, however it is not required to have the quest in order to do so. As with the other returning world bosses, Doomwalker also drops a number of equippable items, many of which with semi-unique appearances.

. After his stint as a world boss, Azuregos became a questgiver in Azshara, though after all the times players killed him, he fell in love with the spirit healer and wished to remain in the spirit realm!
In Legion, Azuregos took on a more serious role in the Arcane Mage and Discipline Priest artifact questlines, which took players to the Nexus in Northrend.

All four of the dragons reappeared inside the Emerald Nightmare raid instance in Legion, and their spirits could be found inside the restored Dream after the defeat of Xavius.

Following the Cataclysm, Ysondre asked players to help defeat Taerar during a quest chain in Feralas. All four of the dragons reappeared inside the Emerald Nightmare raid instance in Legion, and their spirits could be found inside the restored Dream after the defeat of Xavius.

One of the four Dragons of Nightmare, Ysondre was one of Ysera's most trusted lieutenants, driven to madness by a dark influence within the Emerald Dream. Passing through the great trees of Azeroth, the dragons spread madness and terror throughout the mortal kingdoms before being defeated.
Following the Cataclysm, Ysondre was saved from the nightmare and asked players to help defeat the final remaining nightmare, Taerar, during a quest chain in Feralas. This made her the last surviving of the four, though she was drawn back into the nightmare alongside her companions, reappearing inside the Emerald Nightmare raid instance in Legion. She finally earned her rest after the defeat of Xavius, with all four dragon spirits being found inside the restored Dream.
