Dragonflight Legacies
is a series of animated shorts that will follow Nozdormu, the Bronze Dragon Aspect of Time, as he travels through the history of Dragonkind in preparation for Dragonflight. In
Dragonflight Legacies: Chapter One
, we see Nozdormu speaking with Emberthal, a dracthyr who will play an important role in Dragonflight.

Scalecommander Emberthal
Scalecommander Emberthal is introduced during the dracthyr starting experience in the Forbidden Reach, which will become available during
phase two of the Dragonflight pre-patch on November 15th
. She is shown to be a commanding figure, a natural leader who is able to focus on the task at hand even under the greatest stress. At one time, her authority among the dracthyr was second to only Neltharion, the former Black Dragon Aspect, himself.
The dracthyr coming in Dragonflight are creations of Neltharion, who combined the essence of dragons with the adaptability of the mortal races in order to make the ultimate soldiers. Dracthyr society is divided up into several different Weyrns, each under the command of a Scalecommander, and each tasked with a specific purpose.
Two particularly important Weyrns are the Obsidian Warders, led by Scalecommander Azurathel and are the dracthyr who join the Alliance, and the Dark Talons, led by Scalecommander Cindrethresh and are the dracthyr who join the Horde.
Scalecommander Emberthal, however, led the Weyrn the Adamant Vigil. According to an edict found in the Forbidden Reach, this Weyrn acted as the "eyes and ears" of the Black Dragonflight, and was granted "unprecedented authority".

This weyrn shall be the eyes and ears of the black dragonflight and the legions of dracthyr.
Where our enemies tread, you will find them. Where our armies fly, it will be your guidance that directs their talons. Learn the weaknesses of our foes and amplify the strength of our allies.
Only the most bold, most cunning, and most gifted commanders shall join the ranks of the Adamant Vigil. This weyrn shall be granted unprecedented authority to act on its own initiatives, and shall answer to only Scalecommander Emberthal and the Earth-Warder.
