Unlock the Second Soulkeeper Upgrade at Renown 24 - Get 15 Redeemed Souls Each Week
A couple important milestones will be unlocked this week, as players continue to accumulate renown and deepen their bond with the covenants of Shadowlands. At renown 24, players will earn their second
upgrade, allowing them to return more
from The Maw each week, although we won't actually unlock it until
, so it won't actually affect the number of Souls earned this week.
This upgrade will allow players to start gaining 15
starting next week, which means it's a good time to start looking at accessing some of the higher tier upgrades, such as upgrading your Covenant specific activity, or taking the teleportation network to tier 3 for the sanctum Oribos portal. Whichever you choose, remember that there's a hefty anima cost as well; while you don't use much of the currency each week, and it feels rather pointless to collect throughout the week, these upgrades spend it by the thousands, and you don't want to be caught doing daily quests to replenish your stockpiles before upgrading an important sanctum activity!
Make sure you plan ahead for the massive amounts of Souls and Anima required for later upgrades!
While we recommend not worrying too much about how to spend your Redeemed Souls, you can get an overview of exactly what each feature has to offer and what it takes to upgrade them further in our

Inside, you'll find a more complete overview of each feature, such as the Covenant specific activities detailed below:
The Path of Ascension
is a boss rush Colosseum in which the players Soulbinds will fight, rather than the player character themselves. Allowing access to Ascension Crafting, special reagents and boss lures to tackle greater challenges, offering better rewards.
directs you to create new constructs for bodiless souls, granting reputation with the
, access to special rewards vendors selling unique collectables.
The Queen's Conservatory
tasks players with finding
and other wild spirits to nurture within the Conservatory, similar to the
Mists of Pandaria
The Ember Court
allows players to host elaborate parties, inviting notable Shadowlands NPCs, arranging the catering and entertainment, dealing with party crashers, and more. The happier your guests, the more
reputation and the better tribute received upon completion.
These mini-games offer several rewards, including profession crafting reagents, unique armor appearances, mounts, and other special rewards. Some of them are shared between each Covenant, but many are Covenant specific as well, so choosing where to dedicate your time to get the rewards you want (or simply doing all of them on multiple characters as much as possible!) can be very important to collectors.
