The Mythic Rygelon DPS Check - Patch 9.2 Race to World First Day 13 Recap

In today's Patch 9.2 Race to World First recap, we're talking about Mythic Rygelon and the upcoming Weekly Reset.
The DPS check on Mythic Rygelon is proving to be a formidable wall for Liquid and Echo, who have been able to take the boss to enrage but have yet to do so with a composition that looks able to muster the last few percentage points of required damage. Both guilds have sent the Vantus Runes on this boss, but unless either can come up with something brilliant and fast, it's unlikely they'll be able to get Rygelon down this reset, and at best they'll only have a day or so of Jailer progression before the pivotal third reset which brings the Double Legendaries.
Some specs gain more than others with the advent of the Double Legendary, but it's unclear exactly how much stock the top guilds put in this race going to that third reset, especially Liquid and Echo, who likely believed going into the tier that the race would end on the first or second reset, or right at the start of the third reset due to the power spike, and therefore it was unlikely to be super relevant to min-max their double legendary comp. As of the end of the first reset, the evidence began to build that a mid third reset kill was possible (see our recaps from back then discussing that possibility), so the guilds had some time to begin to adapt, and the slightly lower tier of guilds than the top two also knew from the start that it was much more likely they'd be progression raiding with Double Legendaries, so it'll be very interesting to see how much things will change when that rolls around! Of course, there is still the outside possibility that Rygelon falls in the next few hours and the Jailer, if not tuned too tightly, could still fall or get low enough this reset that it dies without much third-reset progression.
