Mounts of the Year - Most Popular Mounts on Wowhead for 2018
As 2018 draws to a close, many sites and communities create traditional “Game of the Year” lists, ranking games across a variety of serious and silly metrics. While we can’t quite do that here at Wowhead, as we focus on World of Warcraft, we’ve decided to dive into the multitude of pageviews from 2018 and highlight what was the most popular in our community!
Today we are highlighting the most popular mounts of 2018 on Wowhead. This past year saw a renewed interest in mounts as Blizzard finally added achievements to collect 350 and 400 mounts (

Honorable mention goes to the items
--items which are not actual mounts, but are tied to mount acquisition and ranked highly in results.

This mount is a low droprate from
25 Heroic; originally it was a guaranteed drop as an incentive to farm Heroic Lich King during Wrath Progression. Long the woes of mount collectors, the joke is that this mount is

This is one of the zone-specific mounts of Battle for Azeroth. The creepy

Due to its water-walking utility, this mount provides exceptional utility while questing, especially if you lack flying. Having this mount makes zones like Suramar much easier to navigate. It requires Exalted with the Anglers faction in Pandaria, a rep grind made easier by the addition of

This is another one of the zone-specific mounts of Battle for Azeroth. The
