Infused Rubies in Revendreth - What Are They For?
is a currency unique to Revendreth that you can use to buy temporary buffs and offensive abilities, as well as purchase fun items, awaken guardians, activate special NPCs, interact with chests, complete quests, use transportation services, or do all kinds of other things across the zone.
You can even earn two achievements:
, and earn the
battle pet and
To open Infused Ruby farming, you must do the optional quest
, which starts with
at /way 65.2, 63.6 near Darkhaven. After that, you can start farming rubies.
Players are limited to carrying a maximum of 0
at a time, so watch your amounts carefully!
Thirteen vendors across Revendreth sell many things to buy with
, including buffs, offensive abilities, items, and parts to create BoE belts and boots. Each vendor only sells a small subset of these items, so you will need to know which vendor to visit to get your desired item. Some items are permanently available, and others are only available in limited quantity.
Things you can purchase from
6 offensive abilities
1 party buff
1 item that gives offensive properties with 5 charges
1 item that gives a self-buff with 5 charges
5 items, including two cosmetic wands
2 maps to detect
vendors and interaction items
Boots to complete a set of Revendreth quests
An example of the self-buff is the
, sold by vendors
. For 1 hour, it gives you a barrier that prevents 20% of all magical damage to you, up to 80,000 damage absorbed. A sample offensive buff,
, gives you the ability to do a Mage
spell (chicken, not sheep) for 1 day in real time.
An important note about the self buffs and offensive abilities: these are NOT items!
When you purchase buffs or offensive abilities, you are
buying items that can be used later. You are buying a buff or ability that is applied
immediately upon purchase
. A second purchase doesn't create a second item; it just resets the timer. Do NOT buy more than one buff or offensive ability at a time, or you will waste your Infused Rubies! These also only work outdoors, but they apply throughout Shadowlands, not just in Revendreth.
In addition, Infused Rubies open two Revendreth travel networks, the Castle Sinrunners and the Dredbat Statues, as well as opening other interaction NPCs. You can use them to open special treasures that award a pet and a useful cookfire toy.
To help you navigate the detailed world of Infused Rubies, we have created a guide that shows how to farm Infused Rubies, lists all the vendors with what they sell and who sells what, and gives information about all the different things you can do with this fun currency.
