Death Knights Called "Deathlord" Not "Champion" By Darion Mograine in Shadowlands
Sometimes NPCs calling our players "champion" feels a bit generic, so it's neat to see that Darion Mograine on Shadowlands quests will specifically call Death Knights Deathlord instead!
Canonically, the Death Knight player has served as the Deathlord since Legion Artifact quests, receiving a mark of favor from the Lich King upon obtaining the weapon. During the
Death Knight class campaign
, we help raise a new series of Four Horsemen, with Darion chosen as the final member and leader following a botched attempt to revive Tirion Frdring.
The Death Knight story then continues in the short story
We Ride Forth
, chronicling the camaraderie and intrigue between the Four Horsemen during the events leading up to the duel between Sylvanas and Bolvar.
It's nice to see little nods to Death Knights in an expansion featuring the former Lich King; another small tribute came in the
, where Argent Tournament healers had stern words for Death Knight players. What sort of other class-specific interactions would you like to see in the game?
