Datamined Quest Hints at New Support Evoker Specialization on Patch 10.1 PTR

On the Patch 10.1 PTR, datamined quests seem to hint towards a new Evoker specialization focused on "boost"ing allies, rather than dealing damage directly. Could a 3rd Evoker specialization, one focusing on ranged support, be planned?
New Specialization of Evoker?
We've datamined the following quests on the Patch 10.1 PTR that are part of the Evoker storyline
. The text of these quests is not complete and just has notes for what the quest objectives are, but they seem to be pretty heavily lore related. These notes have some very interesting context clues.
The first quest in the storyline is
, which has the following quest text:
Evokers only. Upon login you are toasted with NEW SPECIALIZATION REMEMBERED toast. This quest appears in your mailbox sent by Emberthal asking you to go to the Forbidden Reach. The mystery that was uncovered in 10.0.7 (not required for this quest) is about to unfold and she needs your help to talk Ebyssian down from a course of action she sees as folly.
This seems like a pretty important lore quest referencing some of
the events of Patch 10.0.7
. Now, "NEW SPECIALIZATION REMEMBERED" seems pretty specific and may indicate that a 3rd Evoker specialization is planned.
The second quest in the storyline is
which has the following quest text:
This is an RP interaction quest where we learn that Ebyssian has already started to release Adamanthia. Emberthal thinks this is a bad idea while Ebyssian wants to at least try and give this dragon a chance. Interact with the 4 doohickies while they talk, each one bringing down the energies holding the dragon in place.
This seems pretty generic and has nothing special.
This is the final quest in the storyline which has this very interesting quest text:
As the energies release, Adamanthia is coming to and is driven mad by torture of ages. Help buy Ebyssian time to subdue her magically. Boss fight. Boost/heal Ebyssian and Emberthal (most efficient method) or throw damage on Adamanthia. High flavor fight, lots of banter.
Obviously we have the typical option of killing the boss, dealing damage to the enemy, but a specific mention to "boost/heal". Evokers currently don't really have a way that would "boost" their allies. They have ways of healing them, but that doesn't allow them to deal more damage. Could this indicate that a third specialization of Evoker could be a buff class, where they get their damage by increasing the damage taken of enemies and/or making their allies deal more damage?
Third Evoker Spec Question in Towelliee Interview
In a recent interview,
Towelliee asked
about a
Tank
spec for Evoker:
Morgan Day: I mean we've never really added a spec so, I can't really speak to that. You know when we're talking about Evokers, we really wanted to add a ranged DPS spec, like that was the goal and they've got the big old wings so there's lots of discussions about what that would look like in melee range and stuff like that so... Tanks were discussed in the early days when Evokers were a glimmer in our eyes.
Now Morgan Day seemed to confirm that a Tank or even a melee spec for Evoker is not on the radar, but he never really denied the idea of another Ranged DPS specialization...
What Could a "Boost" Spec Look Like?
A "Boost" or support spec (typically thought of as a Bard-like class) in other games is a class that can take the spot of a DPS but instead of dealing the majority of their damage directly, they achieve this through buffs to their allies, making enemies take more damage, and generally supporting the group. Depending on tuning, having one of these in your party results in an increase in DPS but having more than one results in a loss of DPS.
Some examples of this would be:
Diablo 3 typically has a zDPS (zero DPS) player in 4 man Greater Rifts who buffs their allies to take less damage, makes enemies take more damage, and helps groups mobs to deal more efficient DPS.
Lost Ark parties typically have a support who makes their party deal more damage, make the enemy take more damage and provide some shields/healing.
Could WoW support a buff-only specialization? Translating this over to WoW could be interesting, and could consist of making allies deal more damage like a group-wide

, or increasing the damage taken by mobs like old
