Battle for Darkshore - Tides of Vengeance Warfront Preview
Today we had the
Play with Blues event
which allowed us to run the Alliance version of the Battle for Darkshore Warfront multiple times to discover how it works.

Alliance players start in a boat at the coast of Auberdine, currently controlled by Horde forces, where they make landfall. The first objective is to retake the ruins of Auberdine.
After retaking Auberdine, Alliance players march North to free Ancients being held prisioners by the Horde. After freeing them, they join us into our next quest, to retake Bashal'aran.
With Bashal'aran under control, the Alliance stabilishes their base of operations there, to strike and drive the Horde off Lor'danel.
Main Warfront Control Points
Similar to the
Arathi Highlands Warfront
, there are different control points to control around the map, with each providing a different benefit in the scenario.
Your main source of
. At the start of the match the mine is under control of a Naga force. Control the mine to start accumulate
Your main source of
. Control the grove to start accumulate
A control point in the central road of the Warfront. The location has no special unlockings besides opening a larger safe area in the zone.
A control point near the coast of Darkshore. Control it to recruit an Archdruid to help in your assault.
A control point at the heart of Darkshore. Control it to recruit rideable Chimaeras to help defeat the remaining Horde forces. This area also unlock flight paths around the Warfront.
The final control point of the Warfront. Control it to cut the supply line from the Horde. Defeat the remaining Horde forces around it and gather ammunition to launch an attack on the Horde Commander.
As you retake Bashal'aran from the Horde, you start developing it with structures to support your War Efforts.
Tree of Life/Tree of Ages/Tree of Eternity
Your main building in the Warfront. It works as a gating feature to other buildings and availability of upgrades.
All resources collected in the Lornesta Mine and Cinderfall Grove are retrieved in this chest. Unlike Arathi, you also gather
inside it. You can check how many incoming resources there are in the Objectives Pane.
Ancient of War
Ancient of War
allows you to recruit extra troops to aid you in battle. There are four different recruitable troops: (Melee DPS)
, (Ranged DPS)
, and (Tank)
Altar of Elders
Provides access to quick stacks of
and allows players infused with
to become a (Tank)
Keeper of the Grove
, or a (DPS)
. Transformations are not limited by your role.
Provides access to upgrades to your troops. You can purchase different levels of upgrades depending on your current Tree of Life level.
Provides access to
, high range siege vehicles, required to take down Lor'danel Landing's defenses.
Completing the Warfront
After taking control of
, the Alliance must attack the Horde Commander,
located at a Goblin Oil Drill off the coast of Darkshore. Alliance must use the Glaive Throwers to kill the protecting
Fleet Dredge Destroyers
to gain access to the facility.

Completing the Warfront quest will award a 385 piece of gear, and similar to the Arathi Warfront, each Warfront completion will also give a random 340 item level piece and some Artifact Power. Currently, in the PTR, the looks are the same as from the Arathi Warfront, but they will likely resemble the looks datamined for
