Art Spotlight: Shadowlands Thrall Model and Statue Concept Art

Skoll_Shorties recently pointed out on Twitter
that Blizzard Senior Concept Artist, Matthew McKeown, has posted the concept art for Thrall that was used for both his Shadowlands model and his statue.
The detail in this work is fantastic, from Thrall's scars, to the teeth of fallen comrades hanging at his belt. Check this out:
Concept art of Thrall for his statue (and later in-game model), based off the cinematic model. The direction was to maintain elements of his Frostwolf garb that he wore in Nagrand and remove the chestpiece from Doomplate to show his scars. Statue sculpted by Ehren Bienert

GrimdarkTW also noticed how well McKeown drew from Thrall's early portrait for this new model.
McKeown has also created concepts for a slew of World of Warcraft characters including Rexxar, Lor'themar Theron, and many more. You can check out more of McKeown's splendid work on
