Affliction Warlock Solos Bastion World Boss

We've had a few three person Castle Nathria boss kills recently,
Shriekwing
and
Xy'mox
. Now for something completely different: a solo kill of Valinor, the Light of Eons, the World Boss in Bastion.
This kill was by Bliztivision, an Affliction Warlock who posted about it on
Reddit
. Killing a World Boss solo has some rather different challenges than killing raid bosses. World Bosses often have trash or nearby mobs that respawn, other players who don't know what you are up to can join in, and the boss is designed for a full forty person raid, and although there is scaling, the sheer size of the boss and the effects make things a little more unwieldy. That said, since it's designed for pug groups and drop ins, the mechanics may be a little more forgiving. It took three hours of resets for various reasons, but Bliztivision did it. Here is an awesome little video they made which not only shows the kill, but also what it took to get there, and how they accomplished it.
