Killing a Possessed mob earns 3% progress ; you can also reanimate a Enervated Spirit, using a Pulsing Animacone, which earns 6% progress ; the Animacore is consumed on use so try to find a group of 2 or 3 Enervated spirit to maximise efficiency.

This mission seems overtuned. I'm consistently failing it as Venthyr, even though it is listed as a "regular" (non-elite) mission.

And since the mission level is based on the follower level, I can't seem to catch up to it.

This mission stopped appearing for me after unlocking the higher difficulty missions Deifir Returns and Invasive Action, this was around the time I completed the 10th campaign.
The difference in anima cost and mission time makes this mission far more lucrative if you are looking to farm Polished Pet Charms.
If you already did the full campaign on one character and find yourself not valuing Large Caches then a suggestion is to stop doing campaign missions and farm this mission.
