this weapon is sometimes hard to obtain i myself am having trouble getting it for my shaman which im lvling atm

This is the best two hander for a twink survival hunter at level 39 due to the huge amount of stamina as well as agi & str.

The stamina is boosted by the +health talent in the survival tree as well as tauren racial. The strength also aids Raptor Strike attack power and the agility is good for dodge, melee crit and ranged attack power and crit.

if you are marksman however, get the manslayer - a two handed BOE axe. It has much more ranged attack power and is the best weapon for a MM hunter in the 30-39 level range.

For a survival hunter at 39 I would recommend getting savagery enchanted on this as it would boost both ranged attack power as well as melee attack power.

if you are a shaman in 30-39 sell this for a lot on the AH and instead aim for:

1.) Pendulum of doom
2.) Staff of Michael Jordan / Bonebiter (alliance only)
3.) Fiery War Axe
4.) The Pacifier (put Crusader on this)
5.) Thornstone Sledgehammer
6.) Obsidian Cleaver
7.) Mograine's Might
8.) Ravager

if you are a warrior in 30-39 sell this for a lot on the AH and aim for:

1.) Pendulum of Doom
2.) Bonebiter (alliance only)
3.) Ravager
4.) The Pacifier (put Crusader on this)
5.) Thornstone Sledgehammer
(Obsidian Cleaver)

Was using this weapon on my Shaman until he dinged 40 (DW+SS ftw). Great stats and devastating windfury hits. This is basically the BoE Whirlwind Axe for Paladins and Enhancement Shamans. It's usully not expensive since many other are using their Whirlwind weapon or Bone Biter. And since its item level is 40, you can also put a BC enchant on it if you like, e.g. 35 Agi, 70 Atp and also Mongoose (I settled with Fiery since I knew I would switch to DW at Lv 40 anyway).

Awesome, awesome weapon. I just bought that for 35g on the AH for my warrior and i love it ! Great damage and great stats too.

Excellent enhancement shaman weapon. It has better stats than the corpsemaker (+sta/+agi) and better damage while still being slow enough for the windfury CD (3 seconds).

as of patch 6.2.0 it still drops, though it took about 500 runs before i ever saw one drop. Figured I'd post since no one has since '08 and the price for one of these is outrageous. Happy hunting.

Just got one of these bad boys off of a Stonevault Brawler in Uldaman - as I am a hunter of rare items, I was on my 36th run into Uldaman when this came up - I think I'll save this one. worth at least 15K - WOOT!

The search in Wowhead only seems to show this one, but there is a purple version of this that drops in Firelands.

iLevel 378 - 黑曜石斩斧 which can be upgraded with a 火石结晶 to iLevel 391 - 黑曜石斩斧

Just looted Obsidian Cleaver a bit past the Map Chamber. Pulled the whole group from the Hall of the Keepers through the Map Chamber and did a beat-down on them in the hallway near the first set of Earthen. So either the first set of Stonevault Troggs, the first set of Scorpids, or the first set of Earthen dropped it. They all bunched up nicely for me to set them on fire, but that made it hard to sort out whom was carrying the Axe in their pocket. 2nd time I have found it in about 9 months running the dungeon.

Just wanted to note, it also drops on the mobs just outside uldaman, just had one drop on my way out of the instance to sell stuff.

August 2022. Dropped in Uldaman from a Stonevault Cavelurker. I saw the price, 1.5 million on the last AH scan, so I came to look it up. I won't try to sell it, I collect rare Transmogs and stuff, so I'm happy!
