Despite the low level of these potions and how easy they are to make, they are a great asset even at high levels. It's great for debuff intensive fights like Chromaggus in Blackwing Lair, as well as in PvP against classes that use Damage Over Times.
The only downside is the use of your potion cooldown, but still well worth it in many situations.
Quest reward. After you complete the quest, talk to him again (he's upstairs in the inn at Kargath) and he will give you Badlands Reagent Run II.
Then you'll get the recipe
Before my Rogue hit TBC and CloS... or before Blizzard changed Vanish so that it moves Hunter's Mark... this was the potion to rock.
While waiting for MC, I used to farm the Elemental Earth near Kargath.
Astoundingly powerful against warlocks and shadow priests pre-BC expansion.
Does not work against level 61+ spells.
This is THE Warsong Gulch Flag Running potion. It will get you out of a jam a lot faster than a swiftness potion.
very good for grinding especially if your fighting locks or good against shadow priests as well
Unfortunately the effect of this potion is a magic buff on you for the duration, so it can easily be devoured or dispelled in pvp.
Seems like this potion is being phased out with endgame content, it won't dispel Archimonde's magic based fear. I've tried it several times and hitting it just before he finishes casting fear, I get the buff, and it never dispels the fear off...pretty lame :\
This pot worked wonders in the
encounter. Every 5 second tick removed the debuff from the balls no matter how high the debuff stack. Our group didn't have the make-up (or grasping) to successfully live past that last 2-3% from the debuff stacks and other attacks in the encounter.
I - having these for PvP - told them I will take the first 6 - 8 balls, allowing them to concentrate on the boss while minimizing the amount to be healed.
I drank the pot right as the first two balls were about to spawn.
Worked great. For the last couple of balls I used CloS as the pot's effects ran out.
with it removing the debuffs. NONE what-so-ever.
Will most likely post a video of the encounter while using the these pots.
I've made MANY of these with potion masters, and they DO NOT seem to proc at all....
This thing is the only way to solo
As Blood Death Knight(only viable spec for soloing old instances because of super healing abilities), you'll have 30 sec to pop all your cds and burn him(use
and this potion on start and save
so if you need to buy few more sec after
expires to avoid having
even after the fight).
As Blood Death Knight(only viable spec for soloing old instances because of super healing abilities)
lol, Paladin anyone? Druid, anyone?
Uhm... what happens when you encounter a Warlock with Unstable Affliction (UA) while having this on? ^^
This item works at level 80, Tested everything, Very useful in alot of scenarios
How can you get hold of this now that the quest has been removed with The Shattering patch?
As of patch 5.1, this is still highly useful (@ level 60) for Molten Core (curses etc.) and Blackwing Lair (Chromaggus debuffs etc.), as long as you are able to find an alchemist (who learned the recipe while it was still available) to make it for you.
I used to use this as one of my "trick" items back in the day when PvP'ing. Used it to break sheeps and dispel different things. I actually gave this "trick" to Swifty back in BC before he became super famous and I got a lot of thanks from him for it. Still have the youtube messages and his MSN somewhere, heh. Pretty cool. Wish stuff like this still existed. Made the game more exciting and fun.
You can use
HIgh Botanist Telarn's
in the Legion raid instance
It has worked a couple of times on my lvl 120 Warrior. In Recount it says that Parasitic Fetter has been dispelled by "Restoration". Just be aware that the tooltip of the potion clearly states that there is a "reduced chance against effects inflicted by enemies higher than level 42", so it might not work every time. But give it a chance, you might get lucky - at least it has not failed for me yet.
