Just a note for people buying it, Gyrochronatoms (materials for the device) are sold by the same vendor which sells this. Can save some time :)

Bear in mind they are limited stock, but a nice idea is to buy one (if they're there) whenever you check the vendor for the schematic, potentially cutting some of the time it takes to gather the materials once you DO actually buy it.

As of Patch 4.3, I went looking for 萨恩·刀链, specifically to find this schematic and found the basement empty except for two lights shining down on an empty egg lying in the middle of a small pile of hay.

I wonder if the former occupant of that egg had a small snack before looking for greener pastures?

On a more serious note, I checked the patch notes and found nothing about Zan going on vacation, or even heading out on a "walk-about". I also checked a local engineer trainer just ot see if it was listed, but found no reference to the schematic in his list of things to learn.

Editted so as not to mislead : I had thought perhaps this schematic could be farmed somewhere else, but realized I could have missed something. So I went back and found him stowed away safely up in the Ravenholdt tower. The little fellow probably got scared and ran up two flights of stairs to get away from whatever it was that hatched down in the basement.

as of 4.3 he is in the tower of Ravenholdt and not the basement
