Best shield for 29 twink alliance. This is because of the item level of 36, allowing it to receive the new enchants introduced in TBC (ex. +18 stamina). Alongside this, the only other shield for 29 twink alliance that has an item level of 35 or above is Crest of Darkshire http://www.wowhead.com/?item=6223.

Be weary, though, when choosing to obtain Marbled Buckler for your 29 twink. The quest for this begins at level 29, so make sure you have enough XP so you do not inadvertently level.

To get this shield you have to go to The Great Lift in Barrens. Go to the bottom and you will see a corpse of a dead dwarf with a book sticking up. Right-click on the book and pick it up along with the quest. It says you need to read the whole journal but you don't have to, (unless you want to know the whole story). All you really need to read is the 12th page, it says that Henrig Lonebrow had escaped from the Quilboars and was on is way to Falfindel Waywarder in Feralas. You now must go to Feralas, which is a short walk away from where Henrig is, and find a small camp in the Lower Wilds. Falfindel is there. Turn in the quest and accept: The Crone of the Kraul. Finally, you must go into Razorfen Kraul, find Charlga Razorflank, (the last boss, which is pretty much at the end), and kill her, get her medallion, and return to Falfindel for your reward.

(for twinks) to avoid to much exp, you can get a high level to clear the instance, only leaving the bosses needed to be left, then the low level can go in and get the items. this i would advise, since some of the other things you need, is also from quests, so its hard not to level, if you do entire instance runs.

the http://www.wowhead.com/?item=7747 is another good HORDE(cannot be undead) twink shield, though it would be better for a prot paladin.

Great shield for 29 twinks.
I have it on my 29 Healadin (Enchanted with 18 block value)
And my 29 Arms Warrior for (Enchanted with 18 Stam) for when I run flags in WSG.

I chose this over the Vile Protector simply because of the stats...
More agi = More armor
More Str = More block value
So yes, the vile protector offers a good bit more armor but the only other perk is that of a 1% proc rate.

Give me stats over proc any day!

Tried to get an 18 sta enchant on this today and it failed, this item's level has been changed to 29 apparently :/

As of 7/24/08 this quest can be picked up at lvl 27. Just a little fyi for you out there looking for a twink shield. So you can get this with no worries about lvling in the instance.

Finished this quest on my 26 Warrior. Maybe they lowered the lvl requirment on it.

this shield can be optained on level 23 i could say OMG ! he is perfect for every shamy and paladin too(if you are not retribution one) so for level 23 there is no match for that ones

WHY CAN'T IT GIVE INTELLECT! ugh that so sucks and on top of that there are no int enchants for shields

Edit: i jst found an intellect enchant for shields, but I'm gonna have to wait cuz i can't buy it yet.

Great thing, I needed a shield atm level 29 60% of level and I'm at 75% now, quest gave me only 6k xp so it's very nice for twinks. I use it when I'm flag running in Warsong Gulch or need to survive in Arathi basin for a while. Can be enchanted very good (+18 stamina gives you a 230hp boost and even 250hp with BoK which I can do)

Not sure why this shield is so messed up looking. Im still using it at level 34, great shield for almost every class that can use it. But I think it should look more like a shield than a distorted one. More like http://www.wowhead.com/?item=17508

Not sure why its messed up yet the other one looks perfect haha.
