Looks like he's coming back after all.
Back as a ghost to help in the fight with arthas i hope.
Just because there is a weapon named after him does not mean he's coming back. There are many weapons in WoW that are named after dead people, either in honor, or they are the persons old weapons or whatever.
Though there are rumors of his return, coming to that conclusion just because a weapon is named after him proves nothing, or if anything, that he WONT be coming back.
On the polearm itself, it looks fantastic, and its such a shame the Horde version looks so rubbish :( I'd love to wield one of these.
Here's hoping that they put in a BE version (like the guards at SMC).
Stat-wise, this will make a very good weapon for feral druid / hunter.
But it will also be good for Retribution Paladins / Arms Warriors / Death Knights who are only going through 10man Ulduar, and don't have access to the 25man weapons (or had bad luck on drops). The red socket allows for Agility / Str gems and you could probably risk using the epic gem from the fishing dailies for here.
Looks like a weapon straight out of Chrono Cross- and not in a bad way.
A weapon that is as bada$$ as his fordragon himself O.O
makes me want to debate about why TG doesn't allow dual polearms.....
Hmm... looks rather nice
Am I the only one that finds the stat difference between this and
to be a bit off. With Fordragon you gain 45 stam (and a red socket vs. blue on Reckoning), but lose 8 agility and 60 AP. Just seems like a lot of AP that is being lost, unless it's because of that red socket?
You know, I think the colors on this version look cool than Archon Glaive..
Only way these could possibly get any cooler is if enchantment glows were applied to both ends.
Also this will look awesome with the Draenei's alternate swing where they throw up polearms and spin them and junk (males).
Dropped today of anub 10 man normal.
Feels really good since it was an upgrade both for my dps and later on it can stay as a tanking weapon.
Due to the socket and all agility (and stamina) it's a very handy item.
Starcraft reference anyone? I wanna see a Draenei in dark blue armor and one of those walkin around and killin people
A very nice weapon, great for hunters, (a downgrade to
occasionally), feral druids and Death Knight tanks. All should benefit from this awsome looking weapon
Hooray finally Alliance gets something over the horde, and that thing happens to be one weapon graphic, ill take it! And i agree that enchants should be shown at both ends, that would top this thing off.
Dropped today of Anub TOC 10 man, im so happy i was using
Spire of Withering Dreams
this polearm is a nice upgrade and looks awesome :D
omg this sword looks so cool! btw it has a nice name =)
SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER. if you dont want spoilers, dont read this.
come to the dark side, we have cookies!
Fordragon aint dead! or he was killed and stuff, but arthas took care of his soul, during IC, youl see a event including texts that he is alive, and (horde) saurfang will tell the orgrimms hammer to charge in to save him. he is alive, but the LK called him his new champion, so there are 2 options, and 1 not gonna happen:
nr 1 you save him, and he helps/tanks you kill the LK.
2: you almost manage to save him, but then you gotta kill him because he became a ghoul.
3: he just dies
(btw, who thinks tirion will become the new dark dude? it would be so thypical blizz! examples: Velen-archimonde-kil'jaeden, and arthas)
It's too bad that there aren't any two handed weapons well itemized for death knights/paladins/warriors in toc10 regular. While these weapons represent significant upgrades, they come at a cost - often losing 100+ ap, no small loss.
On the other hand, your crit chance will never be better!
As a hunter if you are look for an upgrade from
this might be a bad choice, sporting 2 less agi, 31 less AP, and dropping 57 crit for 62 haste, which isn't a good DPS stat for a hunter to aim for past the SS soft cap, causes a loss in DPS compaired to Marrowstrike, it does add 26 ArP which isn't bad.
If you happen to be a DK this seems like a great tanking weapon, with the over budgeted Sta and good Agi for some nice dodge.
pretty good for unholy dk's especially who LOVE haste... cant wait to see my draenei with these
Dual wield this baby for Lu Bu (Dynasty Warriors 6) style goodness. Too bad there's no helmet with the red pheasant tails :D
This is the Alliance version.... Horde version is
(which is much better looking ^_~)
Found this out because I had a night elf hunter who had this, and had looted Orca Hunter's Harpoon.... so I saved both and had this polearm in my bank. A couple days later, I did a faction change (turned to a blood elf) and happened to glance in my bank and saw
O_o And then I realized that Horde and Alliance have their own models (but still same stats) for this weapon.
I ended up choosing the Harpoon over this due to stat differences. But Anguish is still in my bank to this day reminding me of how cool the model was XD
I've been farming ToC 10man for about 5 weeks now waiting for this to drop. This is one of the best weapon models in the game.
I noticed some old comments about the enchants only showing on one end, Jade Spirit shows on both ends for me. Not an easy weapon for Mog (at least not for a Druid) As there isn't a lot of matching gear.
I've found a nice setup though that I like:
I'd like the grab cursed vision for this mog as well, but that sucka just won't drop for me!
Interesting Fact: Nobbel87 uses this for transmog
