This means you can send it to any character on your Realm/Faction.
When using a Character Realm Transfer these items will also follow you.
This particular item is Unique so it can only be given to character that dont have it e.g. Newly made characters.

You receive a mail from "The WoW Dev Team". Containing Baby Blizzard Bear.

The Message in the mail is:

Did you know that World of Warcraft is now Four years old?

We wanted to send you something to say thanks for sharing this game with us. Sure, the 4th Anniversary present is traditionally "Flowers"... but in WoW, it's "Bear".

With that said please accept this furry little friend! Just remember to hold his Fish by the tail, not the body... that mouth is bigger than it looks.

I almost lost it, i had a 10-day free account when i get it and i couldn't use any mail boxes.
i got the game working perfectly (normal account, full client, AddOns) 1 day before the mail dissapears (30 days)

You can still mail it to other characters as long as you have it in one of your bags. One of my old characters still had it, so I mailed it to my newer ones.

I had it on the characters I had at the time and kept the icon in the bank. Then I would send it to any new characters i created. Somewhere along the line it disappeared and now the characters that already had it still do but it is not in my bags or bank and does not appear on new characters like the other 'bind to account' pets do! :( boo.

I, just a few days ago, asked to get it back. The GM sent too me, now its gone. I managed to get it to a few alts but cant find, wanted for Goblin when Cata hit.

I have this, been playing WoW since June 2008 and when the game turned 4 years old, everyone had this companion walking around (including me), now you see nobody with it.

As of the current patch, this is considered a Unique companion pet. Once you have learned it on one character, all your characters will have access to it. So there is no need to keep it in your inventory to mail to alts. This now allows you to have it on additional realms as well!

If you know this pet on multiple characters you will not see duplicates in your Pet Journal as with many common companion pets, such as the racial cats, moths, snakes dragonhawk hatchlings, etc.

yes i was there on wows 4th birthday
and because i quit wow during the cata patch that removed all the baby blizzard bears left over. I still had it in my bank and with the account sharing pets i can only have 1 overall yet its not cageable or sellable i just hope blizzard changes this so i know i actaully have something very valuable and rare.

I can confirm that you can use a Flawless Battle-Stone to upgrade this to Rare if you want. Then you've got an ultra-ultra rare pet.

This Item still exist in the game but is no longer obtainable because people Like me are hoarders for anything that can be used to gloat... I still have my good old 地精传送器 and I have one 火焰石 left over :D among other things left over on alts including this item.

Just logged onto an old char from a server i dont play on. When i logged in got the 4th anniversary feat of strength and the pet was auto added to my pet collection. Character had been inactive since items were by character and not account. Woo!

This comment might be a bit on the...late side... But if you haven't got the bear, and you do have the 4th anniversary achievement you can just contact a GM to get the bear awarded to you even now!

use the mage polymoprh baby blizzard bear on some critter in the world and then pet battle him and tame him, BAM ! your bootleg blizzard bear
