Where does it come from and how hard is it to get?
The Big Blizzard Bear comes from the BlizzCon 2008 Welcome package. It was also obtainable via DirectTV subscription in the USA.
Rarity: One per visitor to BlizzCon 2008

How much would I expect to pay for one off eBay or similar?
According to http://www.wowtcgloot.com/big_blizzard_bear.htm (most information sourced from there), the lowest Buy It Now price starts around $200 USD upwards to $300 USD.

Facts:

Both Horde and Alliance can ride the mount.
Is the first mount that is "Bound to account". This allows the mount item to be mailed to your other characters on redeemed server.
Unlocks the "Big Blizzard Bear" Feat of Strength achievement.
Adjusts movement speed and appearance according to your Riding skill, minimum level 30 for Riding skill 75.
Zas'Tysh redeems for Horde in Valley of Honor, Orgrimmar.
Ransin Donner redeems for Alliance in Forlorn Cavern, Ironforge.

I have the 25 digit loot code, now what?
All accounts from every region in the world use http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/misc/promotion.html to redeem any and all special loot. This webpage allows you to enter the 25 digit promotion code and also select the region and realm for the character that will receive the loot item.

Upon succcessfuly submitting the above information, you will be presented with an in-game code. Write this code down or print it out; you will need it to retrieve your item. Log into the game with the character that is to receive the item and travel to Orgrimmar for Horde, or Ironforge for Alliance. Find your murloc representative (listed in "Facts" above), he will ask you whether you want the Murloc Suit, Murloc Pet, or Big Blizzard Bear. Ensure you have got bag space to hold the item! Select the item from the list of available promotions, and then enter the in-game code you wrote down.

The item is bound to account, which means you can learn the item on the character you redeem the item on, and then mail it to all other characters on your account. So, basically, all your characters get the mount!

This, interestingly enough, is also the case with the collector's edition pets. once you learn them, you can pass them on... which enables you to learn all three of the original collectors edition pets, along with the Netherwhelp from BC if you have it.

As with all other Bind on Account (BoA) items, the item is not consumed and does not become soulbound when used.

Something interesting that I noticed with this mount, is that in addition to obviously changing it's pitch based upon the terrain, it also affects roll (tilt?), meaning that it actually leans side to side, if that is the terrain it's riding upon.

I've tried a handful of other mounts (sabre, horse, Death Knight summoned mount) and none of these have the same effect.

I love this mount but the cloak on my mail orc "clips" it on the back so you can see the cloak through the back of the mount.

It seems to be ok on other races i've used it on.

As of 3.0.3 (when I was still playing) this mount could be mounted on any multi-person mounts e.g mechano hog and mammoth. Looks funny with taurens.

this mount is from blizzcon 2008 as we all know its boa and blue qualty theres no epic versoin but when you get the good level and buy the training it transforms tho 100% mount poeple could also pay both days of blizzcon for this mount the live stream two days costed 30 dollars evry day

I found a bug with this item. After learning the ability to summon this mount (i.e., right-clicking on the item handed to me by the redeemer NPC), I get to keep the actual item in my inventory, unlike other "summonable" items in-game. After that, I added this to a macro I use which has the line:

/cast Big Blizzard Bear;

It always worked fine when I had the actual item in my bag, but when I sent the item to another alt toon, the macro on my main toon does not work anymore. It seems like for the macro to work, my toon has to physically have the item in his bag. Does anyone know how to fix this?

I have just purchased the mount off eBay and they are going for $200 a time off a WoW collectables trader in the US. Did some looking and these things are very hard to come by so if you want one grab it when you see it!

Also terms set by Blizzard , you should not be given the code just by an email and the actual card has to be sent. So buyers make sure that you get the card unscratched when buying.

If you're trying to use this via command line or a macro, note that it may be necessary to add open and closed parenthesis to the item name for this to work.

For example, if this does not work for you (which it did not for me):

/cast Big Blizzard Bear

It may work if you spell it this way:

/cast Big Blizzard Bear()

Strange, but that seems to have fixed it for me. YMMV.

If you know someone close to you ( a good friend / family member ) that has the Blizzcon Bear for example.

And you change your details into those of his ( if it's family it's most likely already same adress / surname ) you can transfer your character to his account for the Blizzcon Bear, Celestial Steed and any other BoA items.

Once you transfer back you will still have all the items including their feats of strenght.

I did the same with my cousin worked out great.

If you don't believe me ask a GM. I asked one myself before I did so.

P.S. Don't trust people on the internet or whatever that say they got the mount and can do this trick for you. Unless you want to get scammed that is.

Just got this mount today and after four years of existence it is becoming rarer to get.

Some interesting facts about this mount:

-There were only 13,000 mounts printed.
-Speed scales at level 20 and 40.
-The mount is an item in the game that can be mailed, but doesn't make it account bound per se. You cannot pass this mount to one of your characters on another server! You can transfer a character with the mount item in the bag to the other server to pass it along, but does not appear in your mail box upon creation of a new character.
-Yes, it grants a FoS
-Yes, it will get some attention
-and yes, it costs a dime.

I got my hopes up when the mount catalog just said "Blizzcon". I had assumed it was a gift at every Blizzcon, and I could get one this year. However, it was only a gift at Blizzcon '08.

I'm just adding this because every other Blizzcon item I saw specified a year, so I wanted to avoid more confusion, if possible.

Out of curiosity, I looked this mount up on ebay. There were only 3 listed and the cheapest one was 600 dollars!

I remember buying my first virtual ticket to BlizzCon in 2008 via French TV thingy called 'CanalPlay' (http://www.actu-loisirs.com/2008/11/la-blizzcon-2008-et-une-monture.html). I remember having the mount on my Blood Elf Hunter (He's still alive, level sixty something, name's Wacko on EU server Eitrigg). But the mount isn't there anymore. I wish I could get it back but there's simply nothing on my account saying I ever owned it. Any ideas on where I could retrieve such evidence?

While the 暴雪巨熊 mount looks great, I'm far more interested in the 幽灵军马的颅骨 mount.

Having said that, I would't turn down one of the toys 魔法食人魔玩偶, 黑暗之门, 午餐篮, or any of the pets such as 紫色河豚, 拉风魔典, 军团之眼, or 枭兽宝宝 / 枭兽宝宝 (depending on faction).

Must confess that a couple of the items aren't that appealing to me, e.g. 彩弹 and 自动跳舞信号发射器!
