Did some minor testing today with this glyph using a 5 min test on a lvl 75 dummy. One test was done without this glyph and one was done with the glyph applied and even with Frost Fever still being refresh-bugged, this glyph gave me a dps increase of around
150
from the non-glyph test.
No change in spec, gear or rotation and both were solid tests. Looks like this glyph is gonna be bad ass once they fix Frost Fever. Combine this glyph with Sigil of Awareness (

) and you've got a super nasty Scourge Strike that'll mess anyone's day up, not to mention more time to chain cast SS if you get some beautiful refreshes.
Just think... you just used your two blood runes and they're about to come back as death runes, if you get a disease refresh somewhere along the lines here you can do a 5 SS/2 BS rotation infinately as long as you keep getting refreshes, although it's probably not too healthy for your dps. And of course pestilence will fall off just before your last SS so you may wanna refresh it anyway.
With a rune rotation (leaving out RP moves) you could do something like this...
IT - PS - BS - BS - SS - SS - SS(refresh) - SS - SS - BS - BS - SS - SS(refresh) - SS - SS - SS - BS - BS - SS(refresh) etc.
Very nice Glyph. A must have for all Unholy DK's.

i took this glyph for 2 main reasons...
1. it was cheap on the AH and i needed a pair of dps glyphs.... (boneshield glyph is godly on the tanking side but i don't think an extra charge benefits me much as a dps)
2. it let me sound sort of inteligent when explaining my reasons for not taking desecration like all the other unholy DK dps'ers i run into.
that's about it =/ not sure what glyphs would really be nice but this one was around for cheap.

Let me get back on my post.
It was late when i posted it so i have to make some corrections:
1. Yes desecration is not 5%, its way lower. My bad its not up 100% of the time ofc :P
2. Yes starting with PS is often best, however im used to starting of with IT from range. But on boss fights its best to start with PS indeed
3. Of course the rotation i meant was not BS>BS>BS but BS>BS>SS. Typo on my side.
And the other rotation i posted was explained pretty well by Corrine. The moment you go from a 5/3 to a 4/4 rotation your dps generally increases.

I also want to make some adjustments. I still think this glyph is bad if you use a solid rotation and have desecration.
However im currently using a spec without desecration (as some of the replies here mentioned). Its actually this spec:

Which i found one of the best specs (OaPH is purely for grinding reasons, i missed it too much :P; and imo Night of the Dead is one of the best talents out there since the ghoul is so vulnerable)
I also moved from a set rotation to a priority system, in which case the Glyph of Scourge Strike starts to shine.
You have to keep in mind that the glyph still only has a 68% chance to work, so you cant work with a set rotation otherwise you'll find yourself in a tight spot.
So i switched to a more priority based rotation which is based on: "What runes do i have available at the moment and what do i do with them"
And the priority goes like:
1. Diseases
2. SS
3. Death runes (using Blood strikes)
4. Dump RP
So if i see my diseases run out i refresh them, im not gonna take a chance on SS.
This worked out pretty well for me, so its not entirely true that this glyph sucks.
HOWEVER keep in mind that the glyph is still very deceptive. Its still a 1/3 chance you have to refresh your diseases yourself each rotation. And you have to be flexible enough to chance your rotation on the fly to adapt to a glyph proc as well.

I don't pretend to really know anything about this game.
I just play it like a game, doin' whatever makes me happiest with the gameplay.
What I DO know, however, is that as an Unholy Knight specced just far enough into Blood to get Bladed Armor, I have never used Blood Strike.
No one as ever convinced me that BS was worth the Rune I could be turnin' into a Death Rune.
I have some pretty Sweet and Sexy DPS, and my rotation looks a whole hell of a lot like this:
IT>PS>Pest>BloodBoilx2>UnholyBlight>
SS>SS>SS>SS (This is about where I run out of Runes, and I use Death Coil)
(Corpse Explosion XD)
And that's about it.
I use Blood Runes as Death Runes for Extra Scourge Strikes, and whenever GoSS (Love that dirty little bastard) Doesn't proc, and my Diseases DO fail, All I do is reapply them and go about my business.
I never run out of things to click, and like I said.
I usually earn my Rightful and Deserve'd Seat On Top of the DPS Meter 8D
(Oh, sorry. I forgot. I pulled BS out of my spellbook to kill a mob while I was farmin' herbs in Darkshire cause I got tired of ScourgeStriking everything. ^.^)

Can anyone confirm/deny wether or not this glyph refreshes the diseases? as in you don't have to re-apply them ever, using this glyph?
You can just spam SS and Blood strike (For death's and t9 procs.) ?

It won't stack more then 9 additional seconds again on your targets after you refresh the diseases using Pestilence (even on your primary target with the Glyph of Disease)... only if you apply the diseases again with IT and PS.
I hope they fix that...

This glyph isn't a complete waste. It does provides an option for Unholy DK's for the their 3rd glyph ( the other two: dark death and ghoul, are both mandatory). Instead of using Glyph of Icy Touch (20% extra Frost Fever damage) you can use this glyph, and then spec out of Epidemic. Put the two points you would have used there into Morbidity and you get the benefit of further increasing your Death Coil damage by 10%, and the subsequent Unholy Blight damage. Your rotation remains unchanged, and in fact that extra 3 seconds on the glyph could buy you some time if you have lag/latency issues, or you simply mess up your rotation. Also, you can use Death and Decay way more often in AoE situations.
The downside is Wandering Plague will also be effected by less Frost Fever damage, and mathematically I am not sure how much of a dps difference there will be. I would think FF glyph would still win out, but not by wide margin.

in short, it should work so that the 30% is calculated from the 12% disease application (so base 12% + (12 x 0,3 = 3,6%))
and not that it adds +30% to the base 12% which would lead to 42% for one disease, +84% for 2 diseases, +126% for 3 dis...

Scourge strike get 18% extra shadow damage per disease, it does with 3 disease 100(%)+3*18(%)=154(%) .
The glyph increase the shadow damage by 30%, so 100(%)+3*18*1,3(%)=170,2(%)
170,2/154 ~ 10,5
So the glyph roughly increase Scourge strike's overall damage by 10%.

In Mists of Pandaria this glyph has changed.
OLD: Glyph of Scourge Strike - Increases the Shadow damage portion of your Scourge Strike by 30%.
NEW: Glyph of Foul Menagerie - Causes your Army of the Dead spell to summon an assortment of undead minions.

So far the Foul Menagerie consists of:
Vrykul skeletons
Geists (These ones say the same stuff as the undead vendors in that DK starting place when clicked on)
Ghouls (Both kinds, as well as the spiked ones that you can see in a cave in Icecrown. Like the geists, they also make the zombie vendor interaction sound)
Skeleton Warriors
"Super Zombies"
Even a mini-version of this guy!
