With my mutilate build (41/20/0) it takes about 10-13s to get 5 cb and then SnD, meaning this trinket would be active 90% time.
Can't wait to test if it has hidden cd similar to hourglass, allthough it shouldn't because it clearly states it has 100% proc chance with 5cb.

As a Mutilate Rogue, I would be able to keep this up the entire time on a boss fight. Looks great!

A decently geared mutilate rogue should be able to keep this proc up at least 80-90% of the time during sustained dps.

So, getting a nearly permanent 145 crit rating increase from a trinket is just insanely overpowered when compared to trinkets with static stats.

..And to recap again to what the poster above said. I can _confirm_ 5 combo points = 100 % chance to proc and it does follow the same mechanics as relentless strikes. I would estimate with my combat sword build I kept this trinket up 75-100 % of the time depending on luck with combat potency procs (ie more energy to build up 5 combo points for an eviscerate / rupture / slice n'dice).

It isn't as good for fast-killed thrash (for combat ss rogues) since you need a full slice n'dice cycle (unless you're lucky and proc it off the first 1 pt slice n'dice you do) before you can focus on keeping this trinket up, but in longer fights this trinket is gold for combat ss rogues. Also this would be gold worth for mutilate-rogues both in PvE as well as PvP with their insanely fast cp-gen.

It should be noted this trinket relies more towards mutilate / sinister strike rogues than backstab dagger-rogues due to using finishing moves more frequently and having a higher combo points-generation, just like the deathmantle set-bonuses.

Another reason why this actually works very nice for mutilate rogues is find weakness, this already makes it a bit of a requirement to use a finisher every 10 seconds roughly, and in practice it's quite possible too, save for dodges/parries on mutilate (no, don't flame with "you can't dodge from behind", I go mutilate something from the side and after a while I get a dodge, this is a very old point)
I assume that every rogue who is exalted with ashtongue will have enough hit to never miss abilities

This trinket is very solid for mutilate, most likely the best trinket in the game for the spec. If this trinket didn't exist I wouldn't go mutilate. The crit increase is insane and with seal fate you get tons of points.

145 crit strike rating = 6.56% crit chance, and its buff is up almost all the time. If you have enough +hit, it's propably one of the best trinkets you can get.

Rogues using this should alter their normal 3s/5r rotation to 5s/5r, in order to get the most out of this trinket.

This is no longer the best assassination trinket, for anyone looking at it now. Dragonspine Trophy is much more valuable, as is Blackened Naaru Sliver.

Just another example of how Blizzard messed up stats squish. Trinket was giving 145 crit rating before squish, and gives 419 crit rating after squish. So 'squish' nearly tripled it, making it quite decent trinket even at early lvl100.

This trinket is Almost as good as 阿扎凯尔的鲜血之印&bonus=521 , still tiny bit lower in value, yet almost as good for a level 80 trinket. get your alts in BT and get exalted with the rep in order to buy it. and it will be Useful to you till you reach level 95 :P.

At level 100, this is showing me 419 crit.... but it scales way down for TW........ interesting....

I think it's bugged and it is scaling up to level 100. Or it did it not get stat squished properly?
