Well, i've seen the Nature Armor Kit pattern drop off Menuu the Betrayer in Heroic, so i'd guess it stands for all other BoP patterns aswell.

The reason the drop rate is so low is that this recipe will only be visible if a leatherworker is in the group

The "Dropped by" tab on this is wrong - I farmed Anzu for months and never got this pattern, but I got it on my second raven guard kill ever on normal difficulty.

Edit: To clarify, the tab used to say "Drops only in heroic mode", which is the opposite of the actual truth.

Can anyone confirm if this drops anymore as of 3.3.5? I did 5-6 clears of the dungeon, killing the 6 Ravenguards each time, and it never dropped. I understand Wowhead lists the drop rate as only 1.2%, but since it is a BoP recipe seen only by Leatherworkers, the drop rate should truthfully be significantly higher. Strangely, the recipe isn't listed in Wowhead's loot table for Sethekk Ravenguard even though it is apparently the only mob that drops it. What's going on?

For all you LW transmoggers out there, I can now confirm that this indeed drops from the ravenguards inside Sethekk Halls.

I farmed this place for nearly a week...around 25 runs...and I finally got it.

Dropped from one of the Ravenguards where you go up around the ramp, two guards & a single wind serpent.

Anyway, if you're looking for this sweet recipe, keep trying. Good luck!

Edit: Yes, dropped on normal.

I just finished getting all four Stylin' Patterns. The best
way I've found seems to do all the instances on Herioc.
I got each drop the first time, so I wish you all the best

Ok, I thought I would try the heroic strategy and here are my results.

Ran it first on normal to see how hard it would be, no drop.
Ran it 3 times on heroic, no drop - that's a total of 24 ravenguards
Then I reset and ran it on normal and got it on my 3rd mob of that run.

So in my opinion, it's just completely random.
the down side of the heroic runs is there is an instance raid lockout, you can't reset it like you can on normal

Now the good news, I had no problems soloing either on heroic or normal. I am a level 83 druid in crafted gear.
Just went into bear form and chewed them up. The nice thing was I could stealth all the way up to the ravenguards.

Happy hunting. Now to find out where the cobra scales come from, none in the AH

I have run Sethekk every morning (on heroic) for about 3 weeks now. I am running it for the mount. I am an 85 druid so I usually just prowl past everything and just kill the bosses. However, on occasion I will kill a couple of the Ravenguard to get my lunar eclipse up. Today one dropped this recipe. I didn't even know this was a drop in here. so, 20+ runs, approx 10 runs I would kill 2-4 of these guys and I got drop. Hope this helps even a little.

since cata you can enter heroic mode of burning crusade dungeons without having key, which was different before cata

2 Heroic attempts and 10 normal attempts with no drop yet. Won't be surprised if I have to run it 50 times before it drops.

Got my recipe after 37 runs on my rogue 85 , easy to run 4-5 an hour , but last night on my hunter 68 leatherworker first run bang got it lol ,good luck guys

Ran the heroic and non-heroic. Ended up logging out in the heroic cause a couple of 90's were camping the entrance, and my hearthstone was far from a useful location.

Logged back in later and all the mobs had respawned, including the ravenguards. Did this 4 or 5 more times before the lockout expired, and got my pattern this morning.

Dropped from a Ravenguard as of 5.4.7. I was on my second run on heroic for the mount. I pass up most guards on my way to the bosses and luckily dropped from a ravenguard in the room before Anzu. Hope this helps.

I thought I had this, but no.. I do have it on a hunter alt, ran on 87 Gnome Rogue.. So I figured I'd run Heroic and try to get Raven mount as well.. Forgot about rep too and was getting Lower City Rep. I had it drop off the guards right before Anzu as well!.. (with Hunter I believe it was 2nd set of guards on respective run).. I'm thinking the Radiant mail gear with it for yet another Hunter..

I did 13 runs in normal mode before it dropped.

Something to note: on the final run (where it dropped) I did not kill any of the bosses. I don't know if that made any difference or not. Good luck!

This DOES drop in Normal mode, does not need to be heroic... there are only six of these mobs per run... but the good news is the drop rate is much higher than indicated since its showing the drop rate % of everyone, not just Leatherworkers (and it only drops for LWs)... as a LW myself, mine dropped on the 2nd running of normal Sethekk Halls.

I was rushing a friend in Sethekk halls and this dropped for me. I was the only one able to roll for it (i was the only LW), BUT i was able to trade with my friend the recipe (its soulbound, and only drops for LW, but you can trade it with someone else within the 2 hour window).

Don't ignore the trash!
I was doing Ravenguards (for this drop) and 蓝色毒蛇 (for the leather) and BAM! The silly SERPENT drop the pattern. Not the Sethekk Ravenguard! This may or may not be because I was running it on Mythic.

Took me about 13 runs of clearing everything and dropped off of a Ravenguard on normal. Not to mention every time I farmed this place for the mount and didn't see this....

I believe Wowhead is correct that only the Sethekk Ravenguards drop this one. I was extremely lucky on the other "Stylin' Recipes" as they all dropped off my first run but it took me 14 runs to get this one to drop. As for the drop rate, I do believe the drop rate is significantly higher than Wowhead's estimation.

Either I got really lucky, or BfA increased the drop chance of this recipe, because the first 2 ravenguards in the dungeon *both* dropped the recipe on my first run going for it. I am not trying to brag in any way, I am just trying to notify everyone that the drop chance may have increased by a lot. Good luck with grinding!

After 20-30+ runs on normal mode, I finally did it on heroic and got it on the first try. Perhaps the drop chance is higher for it, so I recommend it

Due to the comments of "better drops in heroic" I didn't try normal mode. Dropped on the 2nd heroic trash run from the second Ravenguard-duo after one reset of heroic.
As a rogue I sneaked through and only killed Ravenguard in the first run, so could reset heroic trash.

Thank god this dropped quickly, saw myself farming Sethekk AGAIN :D

Took me around 25 runs total to get this receipe if which 2 runs were on normal, the rest on heroic.
The receipe ended up dropping from heroic, this one took me alot longer to get than the other styling hat receipes

Tip

- do not kill any bosses on Heroic, skip all bosses
Killing bosses won't let you reset the trash upon exit (i found out the hard way)

Ran today for the recipe. Short and sweet, there are 6 talon guards. There are 3 sets of 2 at the doorways between Darkweaver Syth and Anzu and they wear greenish clothing. Ran twice on normal and then as it was late and I was going to log, I ran a heroic for a mount chance and the recipe dropped. GL all.
