If you happen to destroy your Netherwhelp's Collar another one will shortly arrive in the mail.
Although if you delete them too much the mails will stop. Deleted the little guy about 5 times on my bank character for them to stop.

Absoluty usless. Ill never buy another colletor's edition ever again! What the heck is this supposed to do besides take up space in invitory...You should atleast be able to rid it in outland! I feel like I got robed! Ill sell my ce to any1 for 5bucks....sometimes, blizzard is just to retarded....

Anyone have any idea what happens if you make a character, get this item mailed to you, and then don't pick it up from the mail and it disappears? Will another one get automatically mailed to you, do you have to file a ticket, or are you basically screwed?

A: Yes, it is possible to upgrade a normal expansion pack using an expansion's Collector's Edition CD-key to get the special pet, as explained by a Blizzard moderator below:

"Please call our Billing & Account Services department (800 592-5499) and be ready to provide the following information: Account Name (and ability to fully verify account), claimed Standard Edition (expansion) Key, unused Collector’s Edition (expansion) Key."

After your expansion account has been upgraded to CE status, upon logging into the game for the first time, all of your characters will have the pet waiting for them in the mail. Be sure to login with all of your characters within 30 days, or the package containing the pet will expire and be lost forever. Note that newly created characters will also have the pet waiting for them upon entering the game world.

The full backstory to this is that Blizzard managed to pack original TBC keys with the European Collector's Edition, instead of the intended Collector's Edition key. The accounts had to be upgraded manually at the HQ in France. To verify the purchase, collectors had to send in a cutout of the bar code on the box along with a copy of the reciept of purchase. They also had to include the overview card inside a package with three exclusive tournament-legal cards from the World of Warcraft Trading Card Game (but, of course, not the TCG cards). These things would never be returned, so it was compensated with Lurky. <3

As of patch 3.0.2 you can add your Netherwhelp to the "Pets" tab of your Character Info (C) menu and throw away the Netherwhelp's Collar to save space in your bags or bank.

Prior to 3.0.2, the Netherwhelp was a level 20 minipet. I remember wandering around on my low-level druid and remarking that my minipet was a higher level than I was.

Now, however, it is only level 1 like other minipets are :(

I have normal WOW, BC already, and will get normal WotLK, however I have preordered collectors edition as well and my friend is giving me WOW and BC collectors. will I be able to get pets if my account is already upgraded ? if not, is it possible to contact GM and request it anyhow ? thank you in advance guys.

Unfortunatly, EU players are still screwed. They still need to contact Blizzard and have them upgrade the account for a Collector's edition.

Should you obtain a Burning Crusade EU Collector's Edition, you'll need to open up a support ticket through your Bnet account. Just follow the options you can pick from there, which is the CD-key one.
After that, write up your ticket to include:

- A photo of your CE contents
- A photo of your CD-key
- A photo of the barcode on your reference sheet with the date of the request written over it.
- A photo of the Collector's Reference Card (TCG one)

Providing this, you should be able to receive your goodies within a few hours after submitting your ticket.
