Now, we move on to something more intricate, tumultuous, yet revealing if one knows which points and sources to use: the analysis.
The first thing that comes to mind after reading this is that what we consider space, for them is the Great Dark Beyond. Yes, we’ve known this for decades, but what we didn’t know—and I believe we’ve only begun to understand now (or since *Shadowlands*, though *The War Within* seems to corroborate it)—is that traveling between planets and planes involves passing through what the tecnomancer’s text calls "Untethered Space," also referred to as "Unbound" in other translations. This immediately leads me to reflect on how transportation occurs between the realms of death in *Shadowlands*, or how the Exodar reached Azeroth, or Taz’avesh, or the Legion’s ships in their eponymous expansion, and any technical artifact that allows crossing the levels of this "Untethered Space."
The Great Dark Beyond is the framework of the fractal, if I cling like glue to what Al’Firim narrated in Zereth Mortis (*Shadowlands*), and with that knowledge, he and his cartel were able to reach that zereth, though it took a long time for all the actors I’ve mentioned. This is where the tecnomancer’s document fully comes into play; while its context focuses on the k’areshi, the game’s expansions have provided irrefutable evidence that the same energy dynamics in its generation, transmission, and system equilibrium apply universally.
Thus, I could assert that while Al’Firim discovered the fractal, and the Brokers, the etéreos, and Om’retian found the means to travel between planes through "Untethered Space," determining that the entire system of paths and the energy nodes of all aspects of cosmic power constitute an entropic system, where the plane of death provides the energy that moves the other planes and the cosmological forces residing within them.
If this is true as I describe it, what role does Azeroth play? I’ll get to that.
This is where "the murmuration paradox" and the entropy of the framework or system (i.e., energy loss) could come into play, the notion that any transformation in both directions or diverging from the "natural order of energy transfer" activates that paradox. The Reshii Ribbons are the immediate example, but… what about the Curse of Flesh?
Though it’s implicit in the design itself that the intersection of all points in the fractal implies infinite possibilities of transformation (Calia Menethil, Vol’jin, the troggs), evolution (the etéreos, the draconaar, the ignotos, humanity) and even involution—but not as a path of loss, rather as an encounter with the oldest order of the universe contained in our fractal (the Old Gods, the Void Lords, the Death Titans, etc.).
Now, as an example of the system’s recursivity that proves the consistency of what Om’retian stated, it was revealed some time ago that Azeroth does not allow us to access the plane of death, and each time we die, an NPC ("Resurrection Angel") revives us. Azeroth wants us alive, but beyond clearly knowing why… where does it draw the energy to achieve this?
Let us recall that in *Shadowlands* we restored the flow of the system that, due to Zovaal’s intervention, lost an amount of energy impossible to describe with our understanding. However, what we can grasp is that there exists a breach, an imbalance that all cosmological forces became aware of when Azeroth was born, a fact confirmed in *Shadowlands* but which remains in doubt for us: Could it be that everyone seeks it because Azeroth contains the energy not only to maintain "the cycle" (hello, Bwonsamdi), but also the power that whoever possesses it will control the other forces coexisting in the Great Dark Beyond?
Though Om’retian coined the concept of the "unbound soul" that degrades to lower planes from any starting point, and that soul being us, along with all life in the cosmos and its planes, it is precisely here where I connect K’aresh and its texts with what the titans have hidden, namely the fact that WE (with Azeroth) ARE THE PRIZE (hello, *Chronicles*).
The titans, as shapers of worlds and orderers of the cosmos, share similarities with the role of K’aresh as a creative entity, as read in "The Facets of K’aresh." The energy transfer model in the treatise could represent the titanic ordering of power states and planes they appropriate, with K’aresh’s progression from Desolate to Innovative reflecting the titanic shaping of Azeroth. However, "the murmuration paradox" suggests a limit to titanic control, possibly explaining why K’aresh fell to Dimensius without titanic intervention.
So, could one of the things the titans don’t want us to know be that, beyond trying to control them without success (Uldir), they hid the fact that their imperishable designs disrupted the system’s energy balance, and the Curse of Flesh was what managed to bring the system back on track? The titans were already on Azeroth and had it under control, managing its power to their advantage.
The Void had to act; it had to prevent that.
If it was a possibility before, what we now know amplifies that possibility if we add that, in the narrative, a being named K’aresh emerged from the Great Dark Beyond, reached a point in space, created, empowered, and then stripped enough from its creations to grant them mortality. I repeat: Great Dark Beyond. "THE GREAT DARKNESS… Wait, what are you trying to tell me? K’aresh granted immortality and then introduced death (transitioning from transcendence to the vulnerability of mortality), transformation (transcendence in their nature while still alive), and oaths to give purpose (this is clearly understood) and limit their power.
Wait a moment… are you saying that K’aresh was an Old God? WAIT! Are you saying that a Void Lord passed from its plane to the Great Dark Beyond and carried out this sort of trial-and-error acts, demonstrating values that the titans proclaim and that the mortal races in Azeroth possess?
This sounds like progress, doesn’t it? And, by the way, speaking of "advances," from the redesigned Uldaman texts during *Dragonflight*:
**Edicts of the Prime Designate, Volume 742 (fragments)**
*Guardians,*
Though my initial impulse was to eradicate these aberrations before they continued to evolve, I now believe they could be useful with proper control, we must always remember that the fate of mortal minds is triviality and the inability to grasp deep understanding.
Therefore,...
*First*: historical records of the Black Empire’s advances must be purged. Present that era as a time of chaos and misery, a pernicious plague that the guardians eradicated. With the Old Gods confined, there should be no evidence available to contradict our claims. If you care for these mortals, then you will not want to see them descend down the path of darkness.
*Second*: Attribute all achievements and marvelous works solely to the titans. Despite the constant arguments some of you have raised, this is not a fallacy. After all, is it truly valid to say that something existed before it was ordered? Of course not. Therefore, it is undeniable that the titans are the source of all creation.

*Third*: Do not share knowledge about the First Ones. Mortals could not comprehend the wonders that the creators granted to the titans in Zereth Ordus. Thus, the discovery of the progenitors would only confuse them. It is enough that mortals know the titans imposed order on the cosmos and deserve respect.
I remind you that I speak with the authority of the titans, and further expressions of disagreement might lead me to wonder if you have succumbed to external influences.
Remember: Life is chaos. It needs to be controlled.
*Your leader,*
*Prime Designate Odyn.*
It is interesting to note that the narrative about K’aresh and Odyn’s edict are, to some extent, parallel in opposition. While the etéreos’ story grants mortality, free will, and purpose in an act of freedom, the titans view that freedom as negative, and to maintain their influence, they constructed a simulation of freedom under the fear of the unknown, alienation to the Void, and punishment if the guardians’ subordinates or the guardians themselves shared this information with mortals. This, without mentioning that the work of calculation predates them (the Brokers and etéreos might be older than the titans and guardians), and faced with that situation, the titans resolved, under the excuse of "imperfect worlds and life," to erase hundreds and thousands of planets (here we lack narratives of races that survived the titans’ destruction, and they are surely coming soon).
With the mention in the edict about the First Ones (another piece of knowledge Odyn did not want the mortals of Azeroth to know), I now move to establish a relationship among all those involved:
The First Ones, architects of the cosmic order, might have established the energy dynamics described by Om’retian. The paths between planes and the concept of "Unbound Space" could be remnants of their design, with "the murmuration paradox" indicating a flaw or intentional mystery in their creation. The transformation of K’aresh could be an unintended consequence of this design, linking the First Ones to the current situation of the etéreos. That balance between energy absorption and loss reflects the cosmic order maintained by forces like the Pantheon and the Light. The cycle of creation and destruction of K’aresh (from Untamed to Silent) mirrors this balance, interrupted by Dimensius’s Void invasion. The "Innovative" facet with magical innovation and the "Exchange" with transformation suggest an attempt to restore order, potentially aligning with the etéreos’ role in *The War Within* as agents of cosmic equilibrium.
These connections suggest that K’aresh is a microcosm of the cosmic interactions between the titans, the First Ones, and the Old Gods, with "the murmuration paradox" as a turning point that could shape the future narrative of *World of Warcraft*, especially in the fight against the Void and the restoration of world-souls like that of K’aresh.
