The absolute quickest way to find any profession knowledge point treasure is to farm disturbed earth. The average for me is 5-10 minutes of farming disturbed earth for both professions to get all the drops. If you have handynotes, you will be able to see on your minimap the zone. Go to a zone ((like 69,33) on Isle of Dorn, or 53,12 in the Ringing Deeps or all the open grassland areas around Mereldar, the capital of Hallowfall. Be prepared for mobs to spawn or mini challenges to happen. If thee spores pop up, make sure you collect all of them as you can get two drops in one mini challenge.

For some reason the alchemy, inscription & jewelcrafting treasures are worth +2 knowledge points while all other profession treasures are worth +1.

Who knows why - it's not like those are the professions with the most expensive trees - but I'm not complaining.
