I can't confirm much as I don't have a large enough dataset, but for reference it still has the same multicraft % in the UI compared to the Hot Honeycomb.

When crafting Sushi Specials, I am able to hit 3-7x on my Sushi Specials (using the Honeycomb) but I did 2x crafts with the Secret Sauce and both were 10x multicrafts.

I learned this after 20 attempts at fine egg powder. I cant say whether this is on the quick end or if I got very lucky.

Just got 21 renown with Severed threads and sunk all my resonance crystals into kej with the 1:1 turn in.
I bought the expensive eggs since they yield the most Fine Egg Power, and give Coagulated Yolks + Writhing Samples.

Still no sauce. But it will be worth it for hearty feast crafting for sure!

Learned at 50 cooking skill, 1082 fine egg powder salvage= 5410 eggs. although anecdotal, had two guildmates both at 100 cooking that learned it in less than 200. Not sure if cooking skill matters, but from my experience it appears to. we all used the cracked weaver eggs, from the discount egg vendor.

I've spent over 20k Kej to get my recipe. I've been buying 过于沉重的蛋 because it was the chepest egg at 伊兹凯克特凯赞 (and provided double 凝结蛋黄 every time).
If you cracked tons of eggs while afk, check your profession tab. Recipe is not an item that drops, you just get an information that you learned it.
I would not recommend going for it unless you're feeling lucky or you unlocked 21st level of reputation with Severed Threads that allows you to exchange Resonance Crystals to Kej on 1:1 ratio.

I also happened to revive two darkmoon cards form cracking single set of 5 eggs which was either a bug or 1 to million chance.

Anecdotal testimonial - I bought 100 of each egg, I learned the recipe after cracking 470 eggs. From reading around the internet, it looks like it's taking people 400-600 eggs to learn the secret sauce recipe.

I received absolutely zero notification that I had learned this recipe. Did happen after I spent all my kej on eggs? Did it happen after I bought more eggs from the AH? I just happened to be looking at my recipes and there it was as learned.

To obtain the recipe - Make sure you are not spending $$ Kej w/the other vendors and use the Discount Vendor - Izkrk'tkrzn - /way 60.0 31.6. I just spent about 6500 kej with him and got the recipe. My cooking 100+29 skill w/576 tools. Also, Don't waste Kej on Yesterday eggs i got only putrid goop every time. I tried a variety of eggs at about 30 to 60 per pop randomizing. Other items received were: Coagulated yolk from most, weavercloth, Writhing Sample from Jostling Ovoid, a couple Darkmoon cards. I was about to give up and bought 50 more eggs *Cracked Weavershell and got it. Based on most peoples results on obtaining (see recipe page) I recommend the Cracked Weavershell as best option to purchase....with a few of the others in between. NOTE: This is an auto learned recipe once 'cracked' ;) not an item/recipe in your bag, like I initially was thinking (silly me) ...and saw I got it when I scrolled up to see items (had my sound low) ...so, double check. Here was my findings, of course RNG plays a part in these kinds of things, but I also believe that using the more expensive eggs may make a better drop for the recipe to be learned. I purchased all of these from the "Discount Eggs Vendor" Izkrk'tkrzn who is at 60.0, 31.6 in City of Threads. My Cooking is maxed and I have both cooking accessories at 590, thus total skill is 129.

Cracked weavershell - 1000 eggs, gave 200 attempts, nothing... they sold for 24 Kej each
Sticky Gossamer Sac - 100 eggs, 20 attempts, zip... 33 Kej each
Jostling Ovoid - 106 eggs, 21 attempts (had a couple in the bank beyond 100), zip! sold for 27 Kej each
Yesterday's Eggs - 100 eggs, 20 attempts, nothing again. 29 Kej each
Suspiciously Heavy Egg - 100 eggs, 20 attemps, but it dropped for me on the 9th attempt of making the Fine Egg Powder. These sold for 32 Kej each.

My suggestion is to perhaps buy 100 of each and try your luck on each type, you could go right for the Suspiciously Heavy Eggs first, but obviously its a random drop. I had over 30k of the Kej, I don't use it for anything but the recipes and knowledge point books so it is way cheaper than paying gold in the AH for these eggs from players. Kej is also a transferable currency so you can accumulate it to one toon and go to town if its your main that you max out professions on. Also, as a few clients have posted, this recipe is -Learned- as in you'll see a notification on your screen that you learned a new recipe, it is not an item that gets put in your inventory, so check your chat box or watch the screen as you set your cooking to auto do however many egg shells you are planning to crack.
As both the Fine Egg Powder and the Coagulated Yolk are used in making the Secret Sauce for increased production/multicraft of meals you plan to make, making the entire stack of each of your egg types is likely your plan, but it is always nice to know that you learned the Secret Sauce recipe in case you are low on resources.
