Any idea how i can get this?
Does "Elemental Gems" refer to a specific subset of gems or just any normal socketed prismatic socket gem?
Does anyone know by testing on beta for example weither or not we will be able to use the
on it to increase the amount of gems on the item? I don't think it will, hence it might interfere with the Equip effect if we use different gems for it.
Elemental Lariat - The most sought out necklace of all top raiders.
This necklace is known to be BiS for almost all classes. Recipe will drop from elemental events with 1% drop chance, elemental events will start together with the release of raid and m+. a little side fun fact is that top guilds have promised gold cap for the very first recipes so they can instantly start crafting these necklaces.
What makes them strong? the ability to proc gems for an absurd amount of stats.
works on them.
How to best use the necklace? Firstly as any other raider would say "sim it" but instead i'll rather explain. The way the necklace works is that it has 2 charges, once the charges are used there will be a 1 min cooldown. The reason this is important is because one must understand that the neck can buff two buffs at the same time. So one doesn't want to slot in the same gems. The given buff doesn't get extended, it merely refreshes, so it is better to use different gems and have different buffs to avoid overlap.
Can I give an example how to properly craft a necklace? I play evoker, so i'll be using following gems on it.
it will have 3x sockets.
The good part of the split gems is that they actually give more stats than raw stats at quality 3. Raw Mastery gives 88 Mastery. meanwhile a split will give 70 Mastery and 33 secondary. so it's 18 Mastery VS 33 Secondary.
Each gem is a different element, Earth, Air and Fire. So the buffs won't overlap.
Hope this helps :) even a 385 necklace will be crazy strong if you do not have a primal infusion yet.
Does anyone know if this recipe will be lootable by anyone or only Jewel Crafters?
I would highly recommend as the proc almost guarantees that you wont have to replace the piece for ages.
Is either bugged or intentionally is only giving half if socketed with Versatility. At 405 ilvl tooltip reads "499 of their associated stat" on the necklace but the buff provided by "Elemental Lariat - Empowered Frost" is only 249 Vers. A friend who also has a 405 Lariat but with Mastery socketed is correctly receiving 499 Mastery from his buff.
Does someone know, if the primalist gems work aswell?
I'm on the verge of over 7k elemental overflow, have nearly grinded Seb rep to max have looted 8 pets and killed 10 "rares". This JC pattern is pretty elusive.
The diamond is not used in recrafting, so a cheap rank2 on the initial craft will still allow you to recraft the lariat into a rank5 with rank3 harmonies and clasps (1 of each) depending on the crafter's inspiration.
I haven't seen this posted yet, so here's what I found
Fire Gems = Crit Strike Chance
Earth Gems = Mastery
Air Gems = Haste
Frost Gems = Versatility
Edit: Primalist Gems do not proc the stats it seems. Even though they are within each of the 4 Faceting types for JCers, they are not considered an Elemental Gem for the sake of proccing the Lariat.
Can it drop if im not Jewelcrafter?
I did some testing with 3 different gem setups;
- 3 different element gems
- 3 frost gems
- 2 frost gems and a primalist gem from the frost tree.
All 3 setups had the same uptime over a 10 minute fight within 1%. The first setup had an uptime of 9%, 11% and 9%. The last two setups only proc the frost buff which had an uptime of 30% and 31%. I did not test whether a primalist gem from a different element tree would proc a different element, I ran out of gold :P
Edit: I got a friend to hit a dummy with 2 empty sockets and a primalist gem, he did not get any procs. This leads me to the conclusion that as long as you have 1 element gem socketed in the neck you will get max uptime on the proc.
what is wrong with wowhead not listing the materials needed for this? I have to screenshot from the orders page and then reference it that way.
The buffs applied by the proc are:
元素套索 - 火焰强化
元素套索 - 空气强化
元素套索 - 冰霜强化
元素套索 - 大地强化
Do NOT craft your lariat using a R2 diamond, even if it works for lower ilvl, one day you will want to upgrade it to ilvl 418 and you will be stuck, no amount of profession knowledge will be able to proc the R5. and there is now way to reforge the diamond after the first craft.
I've got Earth gems on the necklace and it's triggering
元素套索 - 冰霜强化
rather than mastery as people state it should. UPDATE: apparently, if you relog, you obtain the correct buff the next time it triggers. However, the following comes back to Frost again? Something is clearly wrong with the necklace.
Base quality level 3 is ilvl 386, 4 is ilvl 389, and 5 is 392.
When (re)crafting with a
, 4 star bumps to ilvl 403 and 5 star to ilvl 405.
, the quality 4 and 5 versions become ilvl 415 and 418.
Recrafting is comparatively cheap, gold-wise, because it doesn't need the expensive
. What it doesn't cost in gold, though, it costs in time, collecting the 10
for the corresponding infusion. Note that there are five "free" basic primal infusions you can also earn, one for beating Raszageth in a non-LFR raid and four more from reaching max renown with the four primary Dragon Isles factions. The concentrated version is made from
that come from bosses in the Mythic raid, from the final chest of Mythic 16+ dungeons, and from wins in rated PvP at 2400+.
As for the sockets, note that when adding sockets with two
, you only need a 3 star setting for the third socket being added. You can use a (usually cheaper) 2 star setting for the second socket.
When recrafting, any added sockets and gems are lost.
Edit: recrafting basically keeps everything you had -- missive, sockets, gems. Edit: The interface was a little misleading on whether added sockets and gems would be lost, but now I've done one for myself and what fyperia says is spot on.
Did a shadowmoon burial ground 10 and at end this came up as 33% uptime.
i had a single earth gem(mastery proc) at ilvl 402.
does it work in rated arena? plz reply :D
1 Spark of Ingenuity
30 Primal Chaos
2 Shimmering Clasps
1 Illimited Diamond
1 Elemental Harmony
Does this not proc on healing spells?
I've ben standing in Valdrakken spamming healing spells for 30min and I've never seen it proc.
keep in mind that this checks ALL the gems in your gear to give you procs, not just on the neck itself. I had the neck socketed with 3x 88 mastery (earth) gems and i kept getting air procs and losing my mind over it. if you want to get a proc 100% of the time you have to have ALL the gems in your gear be the corresponding element.
The grind for this pattern makes me wanna punt a Gnome.
Step 1 if you have tons of gold:
Actually you all, if you have enough gold you can buy WoW tokens with your gold and convert that into Blizzard Balance.
and search all servers in your region for the cheapest Lariat recipe. Use your Blizzard Balance to purchase a server transfer to said server and then buy the recipe. You do risk it not being up when you arrive in game, so to limit that I’d pick a server that has like at least 3-5 or more available simply for the fact that most players don’t have that kind of gold. I bought the recipe on an alt I use purely to post auctions mainly with flipping and sniping for 1 of my gold making servers and got it for just 600k, which is way cheaper than it was at gold cap before. I have enough gold to buy a second one on another alt gold making toon and almost enough for a third on yet another server, but I feel like having more than one is overkill. What do y’all think of having multiple lariats across different servers?
Step 3: BEFORE YOU TRANSFER BACK BE SURE TO LEARN THE RECIPE FIRST! Just so you don’t risk anything wonky happening just to be safe. Transfer back to your home server ASAP and profit. It’ll be a big help if you have rank 4 unlocked with all bonuses available for players. Some people won’t have mats needed to jump right to rank 4 and may want say to start at rank 2 and then have you recraft rank 4 when they gather mats so don’t assume people always want rank 4. I can wager that most casual players and people with limited game play time may not bother with maxing at every single item possible ASAP all the time. We all know who’s maxing out gear like crazy, lol us hardcores.
Step 4: Once you’re back home hit up everyone with the new magnificent information that you are now a legendary Elemental Lariat crafter! Oh and most importantly craft like a mad person and PROFIT while you bathe in a gold bath of ecstasy!
OR if you don’t have the gold and instead have the money you can just pay the money for both transfers. You’ll have to pay twice sadly. I think they should include an extra transfer with the regular one you buy, but hey who knows.
I’m Carnagias on all SM. Check me out for daily content and guides. I hope this helps you all.
Maybe this should be called "Time-Lost Elemental Lariat" instead.
Pretty new to all this, is there anyway to know what I should use as a prot warrior in the "secondary stat" and the "infuse with power" slot?
To make the
You can add 1 missive to it so you can get secondary stats that you want.
The missives you can add are:
You can also add:
I have made a lot of these on my server.
If you want the 5-star quality
, you should put in the best materials you can get a hold of.
That being the
and the missive that you choose.
Get them all at 3 stars when possible.
If you don't put in the highest quality materials, the 3-star ones, then it's harder for the Jewel Crafter to make it. Therefore, you may possibly end up with a lower quality
as the result. Even with the
Just so you know, you do not need a
, or a
to make it.
They are just added to make the
a higher ilvl.
As for making these as the crafter, I use
3 stars in one of my Finishing Reagents and when I have available a
I use that also if needed to make a 5 stars quality
And I always also put down a
nearby always to help me boost my inspiration by 2%. It helps.
costs the crafter 50
to make and they are soul bound so they are not easy to get or to make for the crafter. I'm stating it so you are aware of it.
Also, put in personal orders if you know that someone on your server makes them because as a public order a crafter can only do a few orders a day. Personal orders the crafter can do as many as come in.
I also tell people not to put in the quality as 5 Stars when making the on order because sometimes you can't hit create. I just tell them to set the quality to none when placing the order and I, on my end, recraft if needed to make a 5 star quality
Hope this helps you all.
I just had a fire proc when my lariat gems were 1 primalist and 2 earth gems. I checked the tooltip and it says "one of your socketed elemental gems"... Well I have a fire gem in my bracers because I thought the lariat would only proc from the necklace itself. Turns out any elemental slots, in any gear slot is eligible for the proc buff.
Can anyone tell me if the drop rate is different for Jewelers?
